ADDITIONAL: I also think I have encountered the problem of the error when opening custom campaigns such as Chronicles of the Second War: Tides of Darkness (which in its official description quotes ''The Campaign is not compatible with Quenching mod''); Apparently there is a file that is responsible for this, I simply omitted to copy that single file and the personalized campaigns worked perfectly in every way.

if so maybe try to download the complete pack and manually set it?

@@jixedchen5985 Yes, I did it, I copied it to Retail and followed the steps but the flashing continues, but strangely that does not happen when you install from packages 1-24, everything that is ''manual'' the flashing happens. I even reinstalled Warcraft III again, but the same thing happens.

​@@jixedchen5985 NEW UPDATE: Just now I asked my boyfriend who also has Warcraft Reforged (He also installed it from package 1-24) to send me his RETAIL files in .zip, and I just copied that to my computer and IT WORKS! no more FLICKERS! (example: it happens in Echo Islands), apparently your Manual Version of your download page may have certain corrupt files that do not work well in certain terrains such as Lordaeron Summer. I don't know if you require that I send you some type of proof so that you can corroborate my problem.

@@edsonsiraog1721 I will look into it, but make sure you choose the right version set and graphic card in basic settings. and would you mind tell me your graphic card info?

AND if you chose the right warcraft version and graphic card type doesn't help, disable shaders to get rid of glitches.

@@dyrroth458 we might dig more into this, to be honest, idk why start from 1.33 many rendering features has been changed, and many normal map related rendering is not working at all. future versions might just sepreate 1.32 from 1.33+

@@jixedchen5985 I think you should try reaching out to Stormgate dev team, they are very responsive. And you might be able to help them in lighting and shader work. Their game seems to require it (they said they will do it later), but maybe you could help develop a realism shader like how you did with Reforged. This way there can be their stylized realism (cartoony shader) and a realism (metallic/gritty) shader. Love your work btw, I just wish the animations were locked, then it could have actually been remade to feel like an entirely different game.

we have some plans to continue some of the possible optimization or new ideas after the China region reopens. Yet there might not be a very big patch tho unless we find something technical breakthrough, but we are looking after this project, its not dead yet.

in some cases it does, but it didn't designed to optimize the game rather than give it a graphic improvement. We reduced texture size and used more reasonable LODs for models, so sometimes it got higher fps.

Maybe it's not the newest version? Yet because of China server has been banned, we are currently only about to update to 1.35.

Yet another reason might be using the wrong file, or file have same name in the retial folder?

I am using the newest version. When I try that on unit it works all just fine. I have all files copied into retail. Its only custom model I want to have right now. I feel like there is a conflict between choosen hero in option before and setting custom hero in custom option. How should I apply custom hero. Should I somehow deactivate skin from hero and then set custom?

The error occurs only when I try to change death knight hero. Every other unit and hero has no problem with that specific custom skin, not only with it but any custom skin
