Mike literally went from pushing the biggest bully over because of homophobic bullying, to being homophobic right to wills face in season three, I dont know how they will carry out season 5, none of us do. But the fact is that Mike went from going insane when Will was missing, to being at Wills side the whole of season 2, and suddenly in season 3 Mike abandons Will for El, he is even cruel to him, why does Mike having a girlfriend destroy his friendship with Will, my interpretation is that Mike has internalized homophobia, if this isnt true, then that would just mean they changed Mikes character for no reason, it would just be bad writing. Season 4 really solidifies this theoryfor me, because Mike does start being nice to Will, once they are away from El again.

Grown ass people do judge kids depending on their attitudes. They have their idea of how things should be and are not accepting of other realities. Literally some still think pink is just for girls and blue for boys like wtf theyre colors sir. But yeah, some people just don't mind their own business and make children grow up insecure and closeted and other kids bully the different and it just sucks. Thats why I think it would be really important for the queer community to have byler canon and living their gay happy lives together (or bi mike maybe but honest he's prob just gay) it's very rare to see kids who are queer in tv, teenagers is common but not kids, and it could help kids watching thw show to feel representated. Its very common to be queer and fall for ur friend Also their bond is so strong like wtf the queer coding since s1 is so well done. The side to side comparison of mike talking to el and to will are such cool parallels. Like, he was mad at will but then he goes and is all flirty and honest and apologizes (cause he knows he was being an idiot too) and to will he can't lie, he can't stay angry( which I think was more like denial about his feelings and jealousy about the angela thing) But with el is so hard for him to actually apologize and say what she wants to hear ( which he kinda says pushed by will when shes about to die and is a contradicting lie) he tries so hard to not say the words and deflects guilt towards her, he's defensive and unconfortable, but with will he uses his will voice and is so happy to be back on good terms which I think shows how he can be himself and relax with will, cause them are just natural, but with el is like putting on an act . I really think they will make byler canon and mike queer canon too and hope they don't disappoint. They have so much queer coding in this show and byler has so much indepth, mileven is just platonic
