This video is the final, part 4 in a series that shows how to install a strong steel scope mount on the Mosin Nagant Rifle. This particular rifle is a Chinese type 53, but the same process can be applied to the Russian high wall receiver rifles. The result is a strong mounting that fits modern scopes with a 1 inch tube.
The video shows that the job can be completed without expensive equipment. I have old second hand machinery but it does the job satisfactorily. It is more about technique than fancy equipment.
