Well this has surely become one of my new fav ships. In orbit it's amazing granted it has spread out convergence and little optionals but you can easily work around that with a necro build. Game is broken beyond belief, interceptor barely fires but at no point did I decay so I guess to say this was okay? Run was funny just me chugging sinks to not spike. This isn't much of a challenge in terms of difficulty just because how well krait can maintain orbit in boost

The thermals of this ship are so bad it's almost inevitable that you will spike unless you bump down your firepower by a lot. Another way to avoid damage would be to time your gauss shots right after the interceptor volley ends. Heart 2 was me underestimating the mamba's forward boost by a lot. All in all it's a good orbiter and considering the low hull count limpets are just a must thing, true...

1 % Top liner but in a bad way. Its large frame makes it super easy for the swarm to chew through your hull , the distributor is horrendous relative to the other large ships - obviously wasn't made for combat. Wanted to do a rerun of this because of how fun modgauss is. It is very viable on krait because you can utilize krait's short boost to very aggressively stay within closer ranges to get the full damage. No, the interceptor should constantly fire you whenever you're in 3km radius of it
the real combat is done in #ask-away, you should know this by now

Excellent fight! Love the turreted lasers getting the shields down while rearming without boost! Solo Hydras for me so far only with the Chief or the Challenger, will try with the MKII too!
The turreted laser was more of a lazy choice while I did things irl :D Good luck

Tried to boost orbit python so many times 🤣. But decided to drop that idea and orbit without boost so it's more consistent (skill issue probably)
EZ mode = Hold F, spam boost. Don't get zapped, thats it.

I've been having the hardest time with these, can't even get basilisks reliably yet Also got a Medusa down to second to last heart, got wrecked and had to bail... Get swarmed trying to get an angle on heart every time
if you're struggling with basilisk still, don't bother with hydras yet
I just killed my first Medusa last night, it was grueling
what control scheme do you recommend for a controller? im thinking up/down and yaw on the right stick and forward/back/left/right on the left, but then how do i pitch in order to aim?

You can do the same thing as show on the video. Just use my keys for reference. For me W is forward and just use whatever is on ur controller binds.
Got a build link? BTW i share your sentiments for the difficulty, while i have not gotten a no hit yet, the KM2 makes goid hunting a breeze, if not take a while.

So is it possible to destroy the titan now? What happens to the invasion swarm then? If the swarm dissipates, then your wing can easily stop the entire invasion with a crate of pepsi and two evenings of time :)

"Shot" means a fire from fire group (2 cannons) First heart: 4 medium cannons: 21 shots go exert, 5 shots to kill, 6 heatsinks used, 42 seconds total 2 medium, 2 small cannons: 32 shots to exert, 10 shots to kill, 6 heatsinks used, 60 seconds total with 8 sec pause Second heart: 4 medium cannons: 21 shots to exert, 9 shots to kill, 6 heatsinks used, 48 seconds total 2 medium, 2 small cannons: 28 shots to exert, 9 shots to kill, 5 heatsinks used, 51 seconds total To be honest, I'd expect an increase in weapon class to increase damage quite a bit, but in reality it's just a bit :)
At the very best you'd get slightly different results - this example here is just a more realistic one since I didn't do it more than 1 attempt. So it kinda represents an average run I'd get. And well the limiting factor for damage usually is the distributor itself
@@mariemonroe553 imo, the main challenge lies in avoiding damage, rather that dealing it. Even in low intensity ax conflict zones the entire human fleet falls apart once more than 1 interceptor shows up. Shit's crazy :) Btw, requesting a beginners guide on fighting hunters! Their lightning attack messes me up no problem ☠️
@@bohdanherasymenko7569 Oh im not exactly an expert on that and they dont really have any counterplay asides a specific human weapon build where ur essentially just aiming and holding left click til they die. This was fdevs idea of countering player made metas lmfao

Both options got the job done, on a hydra, no less. Can someone explain the difference, other than the obvious that the weapon sizes were swapped for 2 hardpoints?
4m does much more damage, 2m2s won't spike on max firerate but this is only relevant if you 1: use firing macros (lol) and/or 2: you're trying to do a zero damage kill and are worried about getting hit by a shot or two during a momentary heat spike. In this case you can just fire the 4m slower
To put shortly 4m does more with less effort and better ammo economy
