just noticed that in the movie, two holograms talk to K and call him Joe. Frank in this scene and Joi in the other one. while one fills him with hope for the future, elevates his own ego as he thinks he’s the chosen one, and most of all, is seemingly from his favourite artist. it also connects him to Deckard somewhat, as he seems to enjoy Frank’s singing too. while Joi utterly tears it all down, his ego, his self worth. It severs the connection he had with his own Joi, she was nothing but a product made to make him feel good. despite the glaring difference between the two, those two holograms were both hollow in meaning, yet K ultimately found meaning in both.

This is Titanic,on February 3,1912.The ship is still under construction and here we see it before entering the dry dock...its famous chimneys are still unpainted and its A promenade is still open along its entire length. Only this shot actually shows the Titanic - all other camera shots show her sister ship the Olympic.

the subtleties I didn't catch the original time around. Han crosses his leg to block greedo's view of Han's right hand and blaster. Then he reaches up and to the left to fiddle with the wall to distract greedo's attention away from his movements. The BOOM! Greedo flambe'! The was this scene goes makes it easier to follow.

Chewie turns around, doesn't see Han. Goes back into the Cantina to see Han at gunpoint and removes greedo's arms from greedo's torso.

thank you so much for putting this on youtube! I used to have the criterion DVD of these films with a slightly different live version of their score as a bonus feature. i love yo la tengo so much, but i think this is one of their most effective albums/works. but yah everyone should check out the criterion dvd of these too cause the score is a bit different(and live), which is cool and i guess makes sense since they are basically improvising upon previously-established themes. love ya yo la!
