Snow King Mountain MTB | Jackson Hole, WY
I recently had to do this with my wife's Crosstrek. I unplugged the sensor, then gave the housing a couple of light taps with a body work hammer (very lightweight) and it freed up the float so it works again, light is out. I'd recommend trying this as it only takes a few extra seconds to check.
What deck is that? I like that it’s like shiny / chrome
Primitive Ribeiro
Recently ordered my second set of Dressen bearings but I also love and respect his skating. I don't skate pools like him but he makes skating look so fun.
You like them? I may try them next time
Made the switch to Bronson a few years ago. Best bearing co imo
Nice! So far I think it was a good choice
Get the raws next time homie, they’re perfect.
Noted! Thanks!
Bronson raws 👌
Same exact as me. I've always rode Bones Reds and my friend turned me onto Bronson's. Love em! Also tried some Super Reds and those are top notch as well. Nice video man.
Aye thanks! So far so good. Got a deadly flat spot on the wheels today though..
Good vid big dog
🤙
Lmao I quickly watched your video and decided to buy the wind muff. While applying them I felt like a surgeon. And now that I've left the tab opened, I saw your introduction 😂
😂
Not a tourqes for sway bar it is an Allen key this messed me up
What is the LED kit part number that you purchased for the dome lights, door, and marker lights?
It is difficult to find a part number, but entering your vehicle information into Auxito's website and specifying which bulbs will get you the correct ones. Most of them were the 194 bulbs. I got the 6k white. For the dome light, the AUXITO Retractable DE3175 6418 may be your best bet as it is easily adjustable to different housings.
What is this color called , here in india you can't find this specific colour
Black gray charcoal. Think it only comes in two colors
Yeah, that's what I used to believe until now, the last two colours were purple and a yellow one. @@rywanders
Take off the chain, put it in some flat, not that deep bowl/container (like for paint when painting room). Use a bit of warm water plus few drops of muc-off degreeser and hit it with a brush. Never failed me. Rinse with clean water, dry,, put hot wax on it.
What wax do you use?
@@rywanders Hah. Nothing special. It's self made, just candle wax/paraffin with addition of fine-grained PTFE powder and a very tiny little bit of thin machine oil. Cheap (except of PTFE), but enough for years of use. And to wax the chain fast (refill) just chose the small bottle of finish-line.
Take chain off your bike put your chain inc quick link in a jar of gasoline close lid and shake for a moment let it stand for 30 minuets shake again and let it settle for 30 minuets, remove chain and QL Rince in alcohol allow to air dry, reinstall and lube - then enjoy a ride.
100% of this does not need to be done if you wax your chain. Can't believe people are still doing this.
Hah, even a second round of manual scrubbing didn't clean the chain. 5 min in your wax pot and your chain is 100% clean. Cassette and chain rings I've not cleaned in 1.5 years. Silly waste of time that pig is.
Noted! I haven’t seen this wax magic yet. I’ll look into this thanks!
Chain wax doesn't last forever 😂 it doesn't even last very long. Wayyyyy too much effort and expense, especially if you actually ride your bike more than a handful of miles per week 😂 the Wolf Tooth WT-1 is the ONLY lube needed. It works in all conditions and so it stays on even when wet yet doesn't attract dirt. Probably because it's a cleaning solution too and it removes stuff you can't even see. My drivetrain is faster and quieter than ever and the lube polishes the chain to a bright shine. Oh, and another myth busted - you don't need the chain cleaner shown in this video, the brush shown works beautifully. If you have a bike on a stand and the brush on the chain while pedaling the chain, the brush is literally doing the EXACT same thing the chain cleaner contraption is doing for a fraction of the price and won't break either.
@@teecee4459 the 250 to 350km I get out if each waxing is good enough. Especially since I average 350km a week... And that's not with any expensive wax or tools. Just regular candles. Also, my cassette and rings look virtually new after 24000km.
@@teecee4459 I’ll need to try this wolftooth WT-1! Thx for the info
Dude I can’t adjust these, can you advise? I bought them cause of this video
Hmm I explain it around the 4 minute mark. Should be an adjustment screw.
Just ordered this one and this is the only video I’ve seen with this color hope to see a dropper video in the future thanks
Yes, a dropper is a must if you plan to ride anything technical or jumps. Hopefully we can get him one soon. I appreciate your comment I hope you like the bike!
Hands free seems really nice! I used a cheap handheld one for a while, but I wasn’t really happy with the results. Ended up going back to just brushing on degreaser to both the chain and cassette. Let it work for a while and then rinse with water and wipe it clean with a cloth.
Yeah I hear that. I felt like I was putting a bit too much pressure on with the handheld and not getting the inner chain clean enough. Pros and cons. We will see how she does over time. Good to hear from you friend hope all is well!
Dang, didn't know these existed at all. Thanks for the info!
Yeah buddy!
You mention the sway bar link counter is a torque bit…. This is not true, they are hex bolts, using a torque will round it out. I wound up having to grind it off and use new sway bar links.
Hmm maybe I said it wrong. I can’t remember for certain if it was a torx or hex, but I’m sure everyone will figure that out by looking at it. Thanks for pointing it out.
Thank you for your time. Hopefully I can do the same on my 370z...
Yeah hopefully it doesn’t throw a code. Guess you can try this with just about any vehicle
Best torsion bar video on RUclips clear and to the point keep it up!
Wow that means a lot thank you!
Thanks for this. The fluid sensor on my wrx has been driving me crazy
Glad to help out!
Does this mess with the alignment?
It is said too. I would do this and your end links, bushings then go get the alignment.
How do you feel the size small after some time now ? 🤔 I have exactly same problem that I have 56cm and I find myself quite often between the S and M sizes, I just got one Medium (good offer/price) but I feel exactly as you say big and bulky. They don't have size Small so I couldn't order both size to try them. I'm just not sure if should I go for size Small (higher price) or just keep the medium, it feels/looks like a really good helmet.
I am happy I chose the small I love it. I did push in the front foam a little at the temples as it put a slight pressure there but after that no issues.
@@rywanders Thanks for answering 👍 I wait to receive mine in size Small 🤩 Have a fun and safe riding 🤛
I tried the Medium but i found it a tad small, shallow even...it barely covered my ears. So i've ordered a Large online and waiting for it now. I hope it won't end up being too big. Also, the medium didn't look big on you.
Hope it works out for you. I’ve been loving it
thank you so much mate, i was indeed worried about the clunk, it was like something is breaking inside.
Happy to help!
Bu operasyon ne sıklıkla yapılmalıdır?
Depends on usage. If you do a lot of water crossing the. I’d say every oil change at least if not you can do every third oil change or so.
Swap the 2 sides, maybe they are L/R specific
Unfortunately they’re not
The reason for not using brass is to avoid corrosion. The ph will be affected.
Thanks for the video. It is super helpful for me. Until a short time ago, I didn't know what the clunk was and thought possibly it was bad motor mounts. And cool for you and your little girl. She's going to grow up teaching the guys how to take care of their cars. 🙂
Thanks! Glad to help out!
At 17:21 no one offered to help that guy find his mojo 😢
😆
How long have they lasted? Still going?
Unfortunately I sold this truck. But I’ve seen others have good luck with them. Tried to work with them on other vehicles but they ghosted me so I use auxito products now and they have great so far.
You Rock. Any thoughts on prevention? Catch can? Or just strap on some ball$ at 60k miles and kick the carbons a$$ manually? This is diy high level. Cheers!
Haha definitely a iag oil air separator. I wanted to do this at the same time but I didn’t have the funds and I don’t plan on keeping this forever.
This was a really good video and the comparison was spot on. I drive in really dark areas with zero lighting besides my cars output and the yellow lighting will be much better visibility than the white led lights
Thanks!
I lubricated the shaft where you pointed with the arrow, it did not go back, oil came out from the front of the shaft. There is a gap where you pointed with the arrow, it is making noise. How should I proceed?
🤔 sounds like maybe you over greased? If it’s not able to flex it can be damaging and may be the result of the noise. You can remove the zerk to allow the grease to flow out to relieve the pressure. Warning this will be messy . If you’re not comfortable with doing this take it to a shop.
I cut the wires, no issues, I didn't even jack the car up, senor stayed in place, every five minutes it went off.
That’s another way for sure. Good to hear that didn’t throw any codes. I would tape the ends of the wires just to be safe.
@rywanders yeah no codes, I just need to go back and tape up the wires lol
AGREED 100%! When pulling the lever and no fluid comes out is a hint that there is low or now fluid. I'm wondering how many people actualy fill it once the warning light comes on?
use a brush
Super
Need your advice; I replaced both lower control arms, sway bar end links and sway bar bushings. I lowered the rig (2017 Forester) to put weight on the wheels before final tightening. Now I have a clunk in the right front that sounds like the sway bar smacking something when we go over bumps, particularly at low speed. I did some banging on the passenger side to get the ball joint to release, but I don’t think I damaged anything. I have checked for loose bolts, damage, e.g., I can’t find anything. One last thing, I disconnected the end links and drove around the neighborhood, the clunking noise goes away. As I mentioned…new sway bar bushings, new end links. A quick addition to possible causes; an outer tie rod end. Perhaps I damaged the passenger side when I was trying to bang that ball joint out. I’m at loss…any thoughts? Ps to anyone thinking of doing this job, get a can of PB Blaster penetrating catalyst. I forgot to use it on the first ball joint and it took me forever to get it out. Used it on the driver’s side; sprayed once and let sit for 15 minutes, repeated step one. Three good whacks with a short pickle fork on the control arm, behind the ball joint and it fell right out.
Hmm 🤔 okay so my right side clunked as well either I seated it wrong as it did get somewhat twisted on install or it was faulty (probably the latter) so I replaced it under warranty, installed the new one and problem solved. So maybe try this and see. Did you use rock auto to get the parts?
@@rywanders Yes…Moog. Faulty part hadn’t occurred to me. Nothing to lose by replacing it. I’m going to disconnect the end links again to double check that the noise stops. Whatever I do, I’ll share my results so others can benefit. Cheers 😎👍🇺🇸
@@effortless_choice much appreciated! Yeah hopefully that fixes it idk if the links create pressure causing it to pop? 🤷🏻♂️
@@rywanders the noise being made has a tone and depth that corresponds to something the size of the sway bar hitting the frame. With that in mind, I disconnected both end links to take the sway bar out of the equation. I then drove around our neighborhood in the same way that would make the “clunk” happen. With the end links disconnected, the noise stopped, leading me to believe it was the sway bar bushings that had perished (136K well loved miles). I replaced the sway bar bushings with OEM, reconnected the end links…the noise returns (right side). I’ll keep everyone posted 👍😎🇺🇸
Wanted to add, after a lot of research , I found the inner and outer tie rods can make a sound similar to what we’re talking about. So, moving forward… 1. Disconnect end links to isolate sway bay from control arms, etc. just make sure (again) the noise stops when they’re disconnected. 2. Replace the new lower control arm with an identical (new) replacement. 3. Reconnect end links…if noise continues…start looking at inner and outer tie rods. 3. If noise continues…pack with tannerite…drive to “lower 40” and put this beotch out of it’s misery 😂😂👍
I hope you are doing well. Any feedback on the Febest? Are they worth it or best to buy OEM?
I’d say they are worth it as most who have gone with them say the same.
Instead of wasting the fluid, he could have siphoned it out while he plays with his daughter. 😏
Could have just left it in there apparently lol
Thanks Ry! It was easy. Had to put some small channel locks to push the tab in a bit, but I got the sensor connector out. No more idiot light!
It’s a beautiful thing isn’t it? Glad to help
Thanks it worked on my 17, I glad to be rid of that annoying light
Got to tell serv advisor and oil changer every time, then confirm with mechanic to do what service advisor omitted in work order. This way, IF lucky its done every other oil change. One Toyota dealer complained they had to buy a fresh grease gun because of my annoying reminders to hold them accountable.
i just bought a 2022 ripley AF deore on offerup! so stoked to take it out and start tinkering eventually :)
Such a fun bike. Enjoy it!
Thanks a bunch!
Thank you so much for this. Rebuilding my front end and have never touched a torsion bar, saved me hours for sure
Glad to help! Have fun with it
