With consistent shooting I get about 50mins of recording. I now add a power bank to it when I shoot, as soon as it reaches about 30%, just incase I need more time. And then leave it on power bank to charge again while between locations.

It is my go to camera still today. Just makes life so much easier, no need to upgrade yet, still does what it needs to at top quality

I agree, the s-line benefits are not that great to stop you from buying this one. Nothing regarding the 85, yet, they just launched the 50mm f1.4 also not S-line.

@@francoismasuabi It's a good sharp lens and works well with the Zf with its aids to manual focussing. It's a bit more prone to flare than the Nikon lenses but I enjoy using it.

Yes, that is true. I have the 24-70s which does a brilliant job, so a 35mm with a much wider aperture will fit in nicely.

@@francoismasuabi Yes, I don't shoot birds in flight, or anything that would benefit from over 14fps. I shoot wildlife/landscape/street with a Canon R6, using tele and vintage lenses. I think the Zf would be a jump forward for my m42 lenses, but maybe not benificial for wildlife given how good Canon's AF is. One thing that puzzles me is why the ISO dial doesnt seem to go to the lowest ISO setting (50). Is 50 a non-native ISO?

Yes, the 50 can only be achieved by setting the EV to either 0.3 or 0.7, so even thouigh it is stated as feature, not native to setting. The Canons Autofocus is Definitely on point, not so long ago did a comparison with EOR R/RP and Nikon Z6ii, and the canons won in that regard. didn't make video on that though, but was good to be able to confirm side by side.

Your simple Milk-maid bill doesn't fit here. Nikon Z 35/1.4 - 11 lens elements into 9 groups, incl. 2 asph), Tamron 35 F1.4 SP - 14 elements in 10 groups, 3 aspherical, 4 LD (low dispersion), BBAR-G2 coating.

@@francoismasuabi It was partly the agreement between Nikon and Tamron in 2022 where Tamron would not compete. It seems that having Tamron make the f/1.4 lenses fits that. The 17-28mm f/2.8, 28-75mm f/2.8, and 70-180mm f/2.8 lenses were made by Tamron. I think that has been widely acknowledged. I have also talked to Nikon and Tamron reps, basically together, and they acknowledged the f/2.8 zooms were made by Tamron. The Tamron rep also said that they made other lenses for Nikon.

Tamron had the the best 35mm f1.4 lens for DSLRs, their 35mm was as good as Canon 35mm f1.4L II...if it's simmilar to that, it would be awesome...but I think it's simmilar optically to 40mm f2...which is still enough for lot's of people...we will see. :)

It is not a Tamron. Totally different construction and MTF charts.

It is a Nikon design.

The Z6ii is a big step up from the Z50, the censor is bigger (full frame), the dual card slot (though one is CF Express), the image stabilization is better for video, in camera and Electronic stabilization, 4k60 possible, auto focus is faster, low light photography and videography is better. If a good deal comes along to get one over the Z50, I would definitely go for it. And you can obviously still use that 16-50 on it without any issues. Another big win is that the batteries for the Z6ii is more readily available, and much cheaper to get. Most of the other Nikon's uses the same batteries.

And it is still working 💯 to this day? I haven't used it long enough to have experienced any issues specifically with focus. With the testing I conducted, it didn't really give me issues, obviously being accustomed to working with newer cameras, the response is much slower.

Not a nice feeling, fortunately only a few bent pins on the softbox, light was spared.

This taught me alot, and help give me a bit more confidence infront of the camera
