Very easy job to upgrade this model Dell Latitude 5420's RAM and SSD. Please be advise for some reason this Corsair ram used in this video only reads one ram stick at a time. I didn't noticed until after the I filmed but the process is the same if you're using a different brand. Make sure to go check the BIOS after installing to make sure it's running in Dual Channel. Is this the intel core ultra or amd ryzen version? I'm wondering if they both have 2 slots
Intel ultra 7 but most likely it has another slot for a second SSD. Good question!!!
I am trying to get this product but I am running into an issue. Specifically for the HDMI adapter, I found one but it says SFF instead of RFF. The cutouts look alike, however; Will it still work?
I would imagine if the cutout's are exactly the same if should work. These adapters are pretty cheap worst case scenario return it and buy another one.
Do we need thermal pad on ssd as it is on the other one? Also i noticed some components on the laptop where you placed the new ssd wont it effect those wiring due to heat?
I don't think its necessary because the ssd has space between the m.2 and motherboard but you can if you want too. Just make sure its a thin piece of thermal pad.

Im thinking of getting a gpu for this… either the rx550lp or the rx6400lp but im not sure which one would be good… I know the pc only supports pcie gen 3.0 so im a little hesitant on getting the rx6400. Was also considering the gtx 1060lp but they seem even more expensive (i refuse to buy from ebay 😂 so i stick with amazon) I have the i5-4570 240w version so some ram, ssd, and gpu upgrades hopefully won’t kill the psu.

Hi.....sir should i plugin the power source for my Working should it decreases my laptop battery's efficiency? Or i should charge upto 90% then use it? Kindly guide me i have the same asus laptop 💻
There's a battery setting in the asus software where it allows you to charge the battery to 90 percent then stops that helps prolong the battery life. It's going to eventually worn down overtime regardless. I would definetly unplug overnight that will kill the battery cells super fast!!!!!!

The comment “staring at this for 25 years” got me (hilarious) and now I’m subscribing. These hp minis are pretty cool, and yes the Microcenter comment was spot on, even for 2024. Now that Fry’s is gone, MC is the new go to for tech punchlines. Didn’t know that the minis had two nvme slots, or is it sata? Anywhoo I kept the vga on one of my minis cause of the retro dos/win 98 build on it. HP sure has made a lot of these mini and sff pcs, like everybody else I guess. Entertaining video, I’ll check out more.
Microcenter needs to put my photo on the wall as much as I’m in there. Yes they have two slots for NVME SSDs which is great for these small form factors. Big fan of these hp mini’s thanks for subscribing and tuning in and you can keep the VGA port I think I’m done with them for good!!!!

These 2015 MacBooks still hold up pretty well. Are you trying to upgrade the SSD?
PSA!! NEED TO KNOW Storage Support[1] Up to two drives, 2x M.2 SSD • M.2 2242 SSD up to 1TB Storage Slot Two M.2 slots • One M.2 2242 PCIe® 4.0 x4 slot • One M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 x4 slot Storage Type Disk Type Interface Offering M.2 2242 SSD PCIe NVMe®, PCIe 4.0 x4 512GB / 1TB Notes: [1] The storage capacity supported is based on the test results with current Lenovo® storage offerings As you can see there are two M.2 slots, one 2280 and one 2242. Your upgrade options will depend on which format SSD is in your system. you can determine that by using Windows Device Manager to get the make and model of the SSD, then web search on that to get its specs. Either slot can accept up to 4TB capacity. See Note [1]. Lenovo's maximum sizes are based on the test results with Lenovo RAM and storage offerings at the time the model was introduced. Maximum capacities increase over time as new components come on the market. ISSUE AT HAND Source: forums.lenovo.com/t5/Gaming-Laptops/Maximum-supported-NVME-for-a-Lenovo-LOQ-15aph8/m-p/5274465?page=1 (NOT ME)I wanted to give everyone in the community some feedback regarding the upgrade process of the NVME in my Lenovo LOQ 15aph8, because it wasn't as easy as I expected it to be. Long story short, just choose a single sided NVME and the Lenovo LOQ 15aph8 will be fine, otherwise get ready for some issues, as I will describe below. To get to the point, I have tried a Kingston Fury Renegade 2TB - great NVME, good speeds, and good price in my country. It was recognised by the bios, I installed windows 11 on it, everything was great, except that when I tried Crystal Disk Mark benchmark to see what speeds it could reach I got a BSOD (blue screen of death) when the test was reaching the writing segment. That was the start of my issues. I tried the second NVME slot on my laptop - same behaviour. The original NVME that came with my laptop worked great on both slots with the same tests, so I ruled out slot issues with my laptop. To see what was happening I reinstalled windows on the original NVME that came with my laptop and realised that the Kingston Fury Renegade was disconnecting from the system when Crystal Disk Mark did the writing test. After a restart the Kingston would be available again, so that explained the BSOD errors when the windows was installed on it. At that point I thought that I got a bad NVME, as I had all the drivers installed for my laptop and there were no new firmware updates for this drive. So I returned this NVME and bought the Kingston KC3000 2TB (basically the same specs as the Kingston Fury Renegade), as I thought it would be an "older" model, so maybe it was more polished. To my surprise, when I tried it in my laptop it behaved the exact same way as the Kingston Fury Renegade it replaced - immediate disconnection when doing the writing test in Crystal Disk Mark. At this point I realised I have to get in contact with Kingston to see what is going on, as both drives were brand new and behaved the same. So that is what I did and they were very surprised by the behaviour I specified as well. However I soon got an answer I did not expect - the problem was that the NVMEs I was trying were double sided (they have memory modules on both sides of the board), while the original NVME in my laptop is single sided (it has memory modules only on one side of the board). Apparently the motherboard of the laptop must support a double sided NVME, otherwise disconnection issues and other strange things will happen. And Lenovo LOQ 15aph8 does not support double sided NVMEs... Well, that is an information I would have liked to know from the start, as I am sure other people would. That is why Lenovo suggest that you should only upgrade to a 1TB NVME, because most (if not all) 1 TB NVMEs on the market are single sided. Once you go to 2TB or more you can find single sided or double sided NVMEs. Unfortunately, for most customers it does not matter, so it does not appear in product specification. As an example, Kingston has the NV2 (2TB and 4TB) that are single sided, but unfortunately they are also gen 3 NVMEs. The Kingston Fury Renegade is a gen 4 nvme, but only the 1TB model and below is single sided. The 2TB and 4TB models are double sided. The exact same thing applies to the Kingston KC3000. After some research I found that the Samsung 980 Pro 2TB and the 990 Pro 2TB are single sided, they both are gen 4 NVMEs, so I went with the Samsung 980 Pro 2TB. The Samsung 980 Pro behaves great in my laptop - no disconnection issues, no speed issues, everything is nice. I would have liked that Lenovo would have specified that only single sided NVMEs are supported in the Lenovo LOQ 15aph8 and not specify that arbitrary 1TB maximum capacity per slot - as that was more confusing than helping. I hope my experience will help other lenovo laptop users in their upgrade process. Have a great day!
Will the Option card for g4 work for g3? The only available ports in my country is for the g4 ones. Was hoping somebody could test or probably just try if it fits?
Not Sure!!!!
So you mean total 3 SSDs can be installed in Lenovo LOQ?
Must certainly 2 but there is another slot that might be able to fit a 2230 m.2 slot or could be for something else. Not sure
Hi does this adapter have a monitor mod?
