Did you go thru your bios settings also try disconnecting the hdmi port and re seating it to the motherboard. If not order another one from eBay they are very affordable. Keep me posted. I didn’t have anything special with mine. It just worked !!!!

@@charleeeugene It's an actual low powered full dedicated GPU connection that is on some of these mid to newer boards. They are a bitch to find. You happened to have the jackpot with your G4! If you're able to get that exact part number that'd be awesome.

Flip the laptop over look at the model number then google the specs for your machine that will tell you

No the ram is soldered to the motherboard unfortunately.

I didn’t hear it when I owned it. I already sold it not the biggest acer fan but the only noise I remember hearing was the processor fan making noise randomly.

Grab a precision screwdriver kit. The size will be in there.

That’s why I became suspicious about what kind of “screws” are inside. I looked up the Samsung 970 (which you mentioned in your description) and saw that there’s a newer model available: the Samsung 990 PRO NVMe M.2 SSD, 1TB, PCIe 4.0, with speeds of 7450MB/s read and 6900MB/s write, designed for gaming and video editing (model: MZ-V9P1T0BW). It costs the same as the 970 but seems to be faster. Do you know if the older MacBook can handle such speeds, and if the 990 would also be compatible?

@@MySpam-v1t I'm not sure but it won't hurt to try it out. My only concern is macbooks are sensitive with compatilbility. Also I'm not sure with a older macbook you will get the benefits of the new faster M.2 it might hit a limit. Let me know if it works i'm curious you can always return the SSD if it doesn't work.

lol yes everything worked out. If this was back in the day when chips actually had the tiny pins I’d be screwed but now it’s really hard to damage the cpu chips.

@@charleeeugene I've done more than a couple handful of builds and never bent anything. Until the other week. I still don't know how I did it but, it happened. It was a most surreal moment lol Hey, glad it worked for ya though! My inability to straighten the pins gave me an excuse to buy that Zed board for my 3770k I've been looking at :P

Ram is 16gb per slot and ssd is 1tb maybe 2tb not sure

Hold option key and R key during startup until the apple logo appears. Then disk utility format your new SSD to Mac extended journaled once that finishes close that window you will see install Mac OS then your done.

@charleeeugene we should be able to check it if put some bend peper under any single sided nvme Or just use any double sided nvme I have seen some Asus model struggle with it and also some older 11th gen Nitro

I think it takes all the air out of the room for all other non-political content creators. Unfortunately, I suspect that it might have 2nd wind come election day when the Trump folks claim election fraud as they've made very clear they will if the results show an L for him.
