    I’m sorry but this is a terrible video, you’re lovely but this is horrible information. No clay brand is good or bad, it’s *how* you intend to use or misuse it that can affect the outcome. Kato clay is world renowned for caning and fine detail and sculpture work along with its durability and hardness. It’s the go to for most professional artist. Their quality is unmatched for caning and fine detail work. Sculpey ||| is well know amongst teeny tiny miniature and charm artist *because* it’s soft and malleable at tiny scale. The ability to swirl, stick, imprint with tools is highly sought after. Premo & Fimo are loved amongst jewelry and bead makers; albeit Fimo takes a bit longer to condition but the detail held throughout the process is *only* beat by Kato. Soufflé, Cernit, Pardo also have versatilly in either texture, strength, opacity that also make them good for a variety of beading and caning work. Pardo is particularly good at landscape detail on a flat clay surface. I could go on but I think I’ve made my point. You’re trashing products with very little knowledge of how and why they are used and your *inexperience shows*. This is a bad look for your brand especially since Donna Kato herself is a self published author who is on YT making videos to this day and selling out classes, I’m embarrassed for you. Please rethink this video no brand will touch you and no professionals will work with someone who demonstrates such a clear lack of self awareness. This is the first ever video I’ve seen of your channel and it leaves *such* a bad impression of you and your company. This is what constructive criticism looks like, facts and data not inexperience and conjecture.

    Hi thanks for the video. If you rebake the earring after applying the bake and bond do you not ruin the piece or make it discoloured?

    • @roxyroadclayco.8243
      @roxyroadclayco.8243 2 года назад

      Hi! I personally have never had trouble with discoloration once I rebake with the bake & bond. Before you apply the bake & bond make sure your pieces have fully cooled from the oven. If they are not cooled you could risk having a little bit of distortion. Hope that helps :)

      @@roxyroadclayco.8243 OK so I tried this and I used bake and bond on a pair of earrings I made. It was using bake and bond on the earring back as you had done. Second day of wearing the earrings for a full day (a hot day) and when I took the earrings off the backs came off them! So I'm not sure if I trust the bake and bond now (sculpeu brand) maybe also use superglue and maybe resin?

    • @roxyroadclayco.8243
      @roxyroadclayco.8243 2 года назад

      Hmm I’m not sure as to why that happen! Definitely try adding super glue to the back & then add bake and bond or use UV resin. I only use resin now as it has lasted the longest for me & looks the best in my opinion.

      Aww thank you so much!! I’m just now seeing this comment. I replied to one from earlier I’m not sure if you saw it but I would try freezing your clay for at least 10 minutes just so it hardens up some. It could be too warm / over worked. I find in the summer I have to freeze fimo soft for a bit or it’s just a mess. I also leach my fimo soft, just roll it out on printer paper and let it sit for a few minutes. The paper will soak up all the extra oils. Let me know if this helps! I hope it does because I hate throwing away clay! :)
