    Clearly, you are missing the point. Dr. Kwon is clearly instructing on the biomechanics of the swing. Instead of putting out content where you critique others, why don't you produce your own instruction. Bad look, bad form on your part.

    Single plane has helped me a lot….less movements to go wrong and less confusion about what to do and when to do them during your swing!

    To me, at 67 years young, the SPS is the very best option if you want to play consistent good golf, maintain some power and save your back. I've played for a very long time, from junior to senior and been a scratch player. Today, with the help of the single plane swing, I still shout par and around on a 6400 yards course. This would be impossible for me with a conventionnel swing. Thanks to Todd Graves !

    I love the Single Plane Swing. Simple, less to think about and so much more consistent. Much better on your back if you play alot too! Great job

    Hi Kiwi friend, I really like you brought up this topic for a debate, I like debate to get improvements for both sides. Few things I would like to comments are: 1. Moe, Bryson, Todd single plane they did not raise their plane, since their club head still touch the ground, a plane in my consideration is starting from the club head touching the ground (other may not, but "majority" of players do) and a plane ends at your shoulder (it is a big picture of the entire swing plane, not junctions or sections of your arm or of the club). 2. Different people invented different terms to describe the swing plane, they all correct in their own ways, it's just different way of explainations. Example: one may instruct you to relax your arms and wrist swing slowly by the rhythm and tempo, the other instructor may ask you to swing like a pendulum using the "natural" momentum and centripetal force..etc. 3. I think both "single" or "double" swing planes can be exist in golf and in one player can use both depending in the "situation" when you encounter. I think golf is a game to play by the situations not going by the "book", most importantly is which ever method you feel comfortable with then choose that one you like. My favorite will be single plane, since I have a sore back when I bend my back, therefore I stand slightly straighter than other players:) 4. I would prefer to rename these swing planes as: Single plane = straight unbending swing plane Double plane = bended swing plane Once again my world consider a swing plane as a big picture of swing "motion" starting from club head touching the ground to you shoulder, either you prefer bended or not bended, there is no so much thing is double plane, double plane is when your backswing going at example 10° and then your downswing return at and an extreme 75°, otherwise if these two angle are close enough then I'm happy with it. 1. One most important thing about golf is: golf is an "estimation" game, we play by "feeling" not by using a ruler or a scale to measure, we are human we are not a "machine" or a "robot". Cheers :)

    whichever way you hit it most solid, and straight is the goal of 1, 2, Furyk, etc., I will say the single plane getting right arm in position and folding naturally with backswing is a big plus of single plane.

    At 3:20, the assumption of the black circle being the setup position is crazy. The black oval is the shoulders at the top of the swing. And what do you mean you're not sure if it's impact, look at the picture of Ben, he's at the top of his swing. Go back to 2:14 and look at the pictures of the various positions of Ben's swing...the ovals represent the hips (yellow) and shoulders (black) in relation to each other related to each picture of his swing in the various positions below the oval sets. My goodness this is bad as bad can be. Shame on kiwigolf.

    Comments filled with hate, but I’m not sure why. Bryson, in no way, under no circumstances swings on a single plane. Bryson’s club works on a much more vertical plane to the top than it does from transition to impact. By definition, that is a two plane swing. Even if you argue that the arm operates on a single plane, not the club head, it’s still isn’t the same plane. Bryson keeps the trail elbow (the only part operating on a single plane btw) on the plane moving to the top. For the arm to be on a single plane, the arm would stay on plane instead of lifting above, and parallel to, the shaft plane at address. I’m not biased toward this channel, or Graves’, but I am biased when it comes to the golf swing being described accurately, because poor terminology hurts golf swings, not help them. There’s already too much info getting dumped on beginners, the least we can do is try to make our terminology accurate.

    i think the guys and gals that are at a pro level or scratch probably started golf as a preteenager and it became almost instinctive for them. where most of us took it up at a later age and it is harder to learn. i say this based on baseball and hockey that i started playing when i was about 4 or 5 years old and used to be good at. i took up golf at 30 years old and now i'm 74 years old and have been a 13 hdcp. for 30 years and i guess that is as good as it's gonna get but i'm always trying.

      Generally, you are spot on - there are always anecdotal exceptions but mostly you are absolutely right . Of course there is a lot that makes up a players score - especially short game and putting - so If you are a 13 hdcp @ age 73 I would definitely not assume that you have played your best golf yet . If you are seriously interested you should get some data - and determine what areas of your game that need the most improvement - and then work specifically on them . Will you gain 40 yrds off the tee in the future - probably not but you can certainly still improve and play better . When I used to teach - i had several students that had played their entire life - at least 50 yrs and were playing their absolute best in their 70s. I remember talking to some of them about it and I thought it was really cool - name another sport where you can be at your best in your 70s - I can't think of any others . good luck

    In golf......treat your arms like best friends. Don't let them get too far away from you..... I assume you're trying to square the face on the downswing through body rotation. On downswing your arms, hands and club separate from your body rotation forcing you throw the arms and hands at the ball to square the face. One way I say that is you're chasing the flight line with your arms, hands and club. Instead of them rotating left following the rotation of the torso to the left. The origin of your downswing should be from the center of the body outward to the club head. Which will keep you on the inside half of the ball on the downswing. It drew it left cuz you were on the outside half of the ball and the downswing because you nipped at it with your right handed impact trying to save it. Again, you got to marry your arms, hands and club with your rotation of your torso on the downswing through impact.

    Lets have a match and see who wins. I like metrics like anyone else but the way he teaches a simple swing works and probably works for a high percentage of people out there. It is true that with the lead foot being planted i hit the same spot on the ground way more consistently. While I may lose some power Im ok with that because my shots are more pure. I am just trying to have some fun and not break some clubs in the process. I mean while golf is hard its not my job I and I dont think you need a degree to be decent. I play for fun. lol

    Yes, compared to a classic/modern swing, they and the tens of thousands that they teach, each one of them are on their same club shaft swing plane from address through impact. And for the most part, they all strive to STABALIZE/LIMIT the range of motion of their swing with the goal that stabilization (elimination of variables) produces straighter, more consistent golf shots. Regardless of anyone's belief of the Single Plane Swing concepts or technique, there is little to argue about their demonstrated results - no more wild hooks, etc. That said, modifying swing habits with limitations usually seem unnatural and require effort - there are no free lunches. And in order to get your spine at a whopping 45 degree angle requires the golfer to stand *MUCH* FURTHER away from the ball, you'll need to either refit your clubs or at least have 1+ inch inserts added to accommodate the new swing plane. In fact, Dechambeau had all his irons lengthened a few inches and all have the same identical length. Happy golf trails. Michael

    with regards to your comments on his arm pit location to mid feet and hands to feet, i don't agree. You neglect the build of the player. If a player has shorter legs and a longer upper torso, they would tend to stand farther from the ball and one with long legs and short upper torso would tend to stand closer.

  • @johnoxley1946
    @johnoxley1946 Год назад

    You're trying to be too technical and therefore too complicated, the same as Clay Ballard. Saguto keeps it simple which makes it easier for the AVERAGE amateur golfer to understand and improve. All the crap you espouse happens automatically when the swing is kept simple. It's people like you, who over complicate the golf swing that actually PREVENT the average golfer from improving. Just follow the acronym KISS ( keep it simple stupid). Since I started following Saguto's methods around 3 months ago my ball striking has become more consistent AND I've gained yardage. Back in the day I was a single figure handicap and after a long break from the game I fell into all the old bad habits I had before reaching a single digit handicap. Now here's the thing, since I've started following Saguto's methods I'm starting to remember that this was what I used to do all those years ago, and it was an old scotsman who taught me the very same methods that Saguto teaches now. That old scotsman learned the game on the toughest links courses in Scotland and played to a scratch hcp right handed and a 1 hcp left handed. So I'm more inclined to revert to what I was taught way back when and what Saguto teaches now than listen to your drivel. Also as per an earlier poster, instead of criticising another instructor's methods why don't you show us your method. If you're not prepared to do that then keep your big mouth shut and get off of RUclips.
