Will be great for Christmas so I want to get it out there. Just something I wanted to try.... again.... could never get it to work in the past but finally I did. So thanks for watching this!

So lovely!
@@gwendolynfloccari4927 thank you.
A Brad in the center may be fun too
Yes, that would be beautiful, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for sharing. Friend from North Georgia Mountains.
How nice, thanks for watching!
The strips add so much texture to the flower. I love this idea!!!!! Thank you for sharing!!!!!
Glad you like them, thank you for watching!!
Thank you for this tutorial Mary.
My pleasure, you're so nice to take the time to comment!
😮
Nice!!!! Like the majority!
Thank you for this tutorial Mary, I love the buttons and cannot wait for the flower tutorial.
Thank you for visiting, my pleasure!
Thank you, Mary for teaching us this fun craft. I am on my way to go make some cute little bags using this idea. Have a wonderful day .
Sounds like fun! I think I am on my way to use more scraps and try to make room on my table once again.
Thank you for sharing your ‘experiments’ 😊with us…great ideas.
Thank you for watching!
Thank you so much for sharing this great idea with us!
Thank you for watching, I appreciate it!
I really love these. I definitely want to try them. I just have to mention how young your hands and skin look for your age! Good for you. I thought you were much much younger.
Thank you, it makes paper feel wonderful as well as being protective. Thank you for the compliment!
Hi, Mary. Probably you have heard this hint by now, but I'll add it anyway. Use a clear spray such as Krylon Crystal Clear over ink jet printing. Two light coats will prevent the ink from dissolving and smearing. Thanks for all the creativity you share with us.
Hello. Thank you for sharing the tip and thank you for watching.
I really love your ideas and techniques, Mary! Your finished projects are so unique & creative. Thanks for sharing! 😄
What a nice thing to say, thank you for watching!
These are absolutely adorable!
Thank you.
These are lovely. Would you mind sharing the manufacturer of the die and the embossing folder? I’d love to try this technique. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much.
@@fibergoddess1 You are welcome.
Love the icy look. Thanks for this tutorial in achieving this look. I had to dig deep in my stash for border embossing folders. I found just a couple that would work and I loved the results ❣️
Glad it was helpful! Have fun!
I have adhered wax paper to paper and fabric with an iron.
Glad it worked for you.
Love this. Will try with stencils or the silicone stamps and rubbing since i don't have an embosser. Now to find plastic items around the house that might work for texture. I fo have plastic canvas for making yarn needlepoint projects, a craft popular 30 years ago. Using a rolling pin over an embossing folder and a metal embossing plate also entices me so i will look for a set on sale. I am interested in seeing how you made the little framed piece you showed at the beginning. Thanks for sharing your talents and ideas.
I just tried this with dollar tree silicone stamps. I had best success by spraying the alcohol/water on the rubbing rag instead of the paper. When I spray on the magazine paper its too easy to over wet and tear the paper with rubbing. Some stamps worked better than others. Too much detail and you just get a blur on the page. All in all, a great success!
@@dianelevy2855 Great, thanks for sharing. Detailed stamps didn't work at all for me either, surprisingly neither did stencils.
These turned out really cool, love this idea. Thanks for teaching and sharing.
Thank you. I love the feel of them.
Very cool idea Mary. Love the idea on the napkin one, if the other plys I pull off are useable I turn them into faux rice paper with beeswax and an iron but this is a great way to use them too. thanks for the tutorial.
Thank you. I don't have that many great napkins but they are so easy to use with gluestick and it makes them feel different. I like them for wax paper bags. I use the pull offs for all kinds of things too.
Hello Mary, how are you doing? This is just so fascinating to me, tfs🙂💜.
Thank you.
Thank you for sharing this tutorial with us Mary, much appreciated.
My pleasure.
Love 💕 your work. I too have been exploring how to create art work with magazines and packaging. So many beautiful colors and images. Seems a shame to not try to shape them into new artwork. Thank you for sharing your explorations with us.
That is true, a great source of material, thank you for watching.
Thanks, they're beautiful. Good to watch at 1.75 speed 😊
Thanks. Watch the newer versions. Laminating with glue and gluesticks.
Please hurry up
Howdy, Mary! New Subbie... #168 Thumbs up... full watch! Thank you for sharing this unique technique! I'll definitely give this a try! The crow is my fav card. HUGs 🧡 Blessings & Bubbles🫧
Thank you so much for watching and subscribing! Hope you have a lot of fun with it, more to come.
Great idea ❤
thank you
I love learning a new technique. Thank you.
Thank you for watching, me too, I'll have a lot of fun learning what I can do using this method.
Thank you for showing both ways. I don't have an embossing machine and don't want one. I've done the sanding method a few years ago but this does seem better. I'm going to go try it now. Thanks again.
Thank you, when possible I try to make techniques accessible to everyone.
Love your work. Discovered your channel today. Inspiring!😊
Thank you.
Good! I would like to know what are you doing with the sizzix?
Thank you. Using the Sizzix as a press to apply pressure to ensure a strong bond.
@@maryferrari-espressopressd7921 great! Thanks.
You’re such a great teacher, and have a genius mind Mary! What an amazing idea. I don’t have a machine or embossing folders yet, but when I get them, I’ll definitely need to try this. ❤
Thank you so much! I discovered the alcohol trick of lifting images while making my own washi with scotch tape, better living through chemistry so they say. ;) Well you don't need a machine to try it so I hope you will.
Such a great technique. Love the look! Have you tried with glossy book pages or does it only work on magazine pages?
Thank you. I will try it but I haven't yet. The quality of book pages over magazines might make it more difficult is my thought off the top of my head but I'll see.
Love them
Thank you so much!
What a wonderful idea, thank you for explaining it so clearly.I will try it straightaway
Thank you so much, you're very kind, have fun!
Love this Mary. I have a bunch of magazines mostly Nat geo to do that thing with the virus solvent. Have you tried or seen that if not let me know and I will send you a link. There’s a few on here. Very cool
Thank you. If you mean that citrus solvent, yes, I have seen that.
@@maryferrari-espressopressd7921 yeah I just saw autocorrect changed my word to virus🙄
@@cjsimplyscraps I probably won't have time in the next video but I was just experimenting some more and I could distress flat images easily with alcohol and water if you care to try it. Just took a very soft cloth and a little more rubbing. I switched between wiping cloths in this video and one was more stiff with old glue, it will tear more easily if the cloth is not very soft but after a few sprays the ink is so dissolved it pretty much rubs right off.
Too much self-promotion.
Hello Mary, how are you doing? I just want to give your viewers who do not own an embossing machine that they can use a baking rolling pin to embossing. I purchased some embossing folders from my local thrift store even though I do not own an embossing machine. I have even watch a video where someone used the back of a spoon to get the embossed effect. I tried that method as well but I prefer the rolling pin. I hope that this tip helps someone who loves the embossed look but does not own an embossing machine and simply cannot afford one at the time-like myself🙂💜.
Thanks for the tip, I'm sure viewers will appreciate it!
Oh Wow! Thank you for posting this!
@@debbiewoten9403You’re welcome🙂💜
Just skip to 18 minutes if you want to see the technique
thank you...the shaky and slow presentation is really causing me a lot of stress....
Thank you!
You're welcome!
Really nice!!
Thank you for watching, I appreciate it!
Pretty Cool!
thank you
I'm getting super great ASMR tingles from this low-key video. WHEW what a bonus!
Thank you very much for this tutorial Mary. I love it.
Thank you for watching, will be experimenting more with it as soon as I have time.
@@maryferrari-espressopressd7921 I cannot wait, thank you.
