Great video ! Makes me feel I can tackle my 2006 e350
I have coil springs so I’m tryin to figure some crap out. I inserted a bunch of cut pool noodles into the springs and it might be working
My sl500 has crank no start but hasn’t throwing any codes
I have a 1997 S320 Mercedes Benz
09 c300 4matic sport.
Excellent exactly as you showed perfect Thank you John
You're welcome, John. Glad it helped!
2006 c280 You are the best
Thank you for this video! I have a sagging sofa so I’ll try your method sometime soon to fix mine. Where can I buy wood supports like the one in your video?
You're welcome! For wood support, you can use plywood or brace with 2x2's or 2x4's. Other viewers have recommended plywood in the comments.
A stapel pulling tool works to
Good advice, thank you!
Great video, thanks mate.
Thank you, that's a honor from you! We love your videos.
OUTSTANDING video. I have made a few videos myself, but this was superb. Really nice. Thank you. I am going to do that job NOW!!!
Thank you very much!! We appreciate your kind words and hope everything went well with your flush!
I have printer Hp Laser Jet MFP M183 FN, the mirror is broken, more scratch in the mirror, how to repair that?
You may need to replace the mirror assembly.
How you removed it ????
This couch top was removed with screws from the bottom. Some couches, you will need to turn over to access the staples.
Thanks... Liked, Subscribed. I'm hoping you may advise me on a problem... I am getting 2 vertical narrow, 75mm wide faint strips on my 11x17 color prints on my HP M750 laser printer. I've replaced the toners, inspected everything, done cleaning cycles, etc... and it persists. It seems as if it is the black that is the omitted color in the 2 strips of faintness. The strips of faintness edges are not abrupt. It seems to have started after the printer took 2 pieces of paper in a printing cycle and they were staggered, one a bit ahead of the other. The fuser was loosened and the pages pulled out. It printed perfectly prior to the incident... if I recall correctly. Any ideas for me?? Is the actual laser itself dirty? It is driving me crazy. Thanks again... Very appreciated...
You're welcome. Sounds like it may be an issue with the drum. If the drum unit is ok, and the mirrors are clean, it could be the LED or light that is damaged or dirty.
@@fatherandsonfix Thank you. Appreciated it. The printer is relatively low page count... Couldn't figure it being something so protected as the led or mirrors. The "windows" are covered by a scissor contracting cover which do not move for cleaning. I attempted to blow it out with a duster can and will run a test Monday. But, one thing I hadn't swapped out is the fuser unit, which is where I pulled a double page draw from when this problem started. I have a spare old fuser so I'll swap that in, then, too. Thanks again... Very appreciated!
We must have tempted fate with this one!! Last week we had the crankshaft position sensor error code P0335. This was our wagon and it was sitting in the sun, the first really warm day of the year. No issues starting when we got in. Then, when we got home and attempted to start again to leave, we got the no crank issue. Checked later and pulled this code. Bear in mind, we had already replaced the sensor in our S211 wagon about 50k miles ago with genuine Bosch. The video shows us replacing on our W211 sedan. Thankfully we kept the sensor we replaced in the video as a backup and put it in the wagon last week to keep it going for a few days until the new replacement arrived. Lesson learned, this should be part of preventative maintenance every 40k-50k!!
I got a 06 cls 500 and it won’t turn over it only cranks I can hear the fuel pump and start working and all electronics work , could it be this sensor that’s making it not start ?
Yes, especially if it is temperature related.
@@fatherandsonfixdo you know what size the bolt for the sensor would be on the 06 cls 500?
If no spark
You bought it from big lot🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻
Hahaha, you know we probably could have invested more in the couch, but money was tight. You get what you pay for 🤣
@@fatherandsonfix I know🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻lol 👌🏼👌🏼
Its possible to make block spedometer? Drive but in display stay 0?
Great Video Thanks

Thanks for your kind words, we appreciate it!
Thank you! I'm going to change me PS fluid soon and I'm gathering useful info here and there, and this video is great indeed!
You're welcome! Thanks for your comment! We like your approach to research *before* the repair 👍🏼
Why did you replace the resevoir and did it fix the issue
Preventive maintenance, there's a filter inside, only way to replace the filter is to replace the reservoir. Some people say it quiets the pump, we didn't notice any major difference.
Honestly, I was sceptical about all this, but I followed through. Luckily my printer is the hp cp1215 which is similar to that and what do you know, IT WORKED!! Thank you so much!!
Awesome!!! You're welcome! We totally thought ours was just leaky toner at first too, what a difference the lenses cleaning makes.
Can you deactivate for good? I prefer 100% user controlled braking
No, you must keep it on for safe braking. SBC actually does a lot of amazing things beyond ABS to keep you safe such as dry-brake and preloading when you lift off the accelerator. There are at least two deer and many squirrels that are still around thanks to the SBC on our wagon! :)
C180 2013 ??
"promo sm"
1999 clk320, changed it 2 times in the last 24 years. First one the car would just randomly stall at stop lights when engine was warm. Second one would just have A No start when engine was warm, But it would start with ether sprayed into the throttle body. No check engine light or any indications.
Thanks for sharing your experience, this will help others to diagnose and fix.
When it is the time to change that filter tank ?
There's a lot of different opinions on this ranging from every 2 years to 100,000 miles. We would say every 60,000 miles to be safe. It's also a good idea to replace it if you are replacing the pump.
@@fatherandsonfix on W210, 100.000 km, year1996 we changed the oil and went from the original 345.0 green to 236.3 yellow because it looked more dark yellow when dirty. Everything bled correctly. Immediately after the change, I felt a much stiffer power steering than before. I thought it was because of the slightly more viscous oil. I swapped it back with Fuchs 345.0 green and the steering wheel is still noticeably heavier. I am now thinking of replacing the canister filter. What is your opinion ?
@@joesaric1 the price of these are not too much and worth replacing it as part of troubleshooting. it's not a guarantee that it will fix it, but you can rule that part out.
@@fatherandsonfix I think the filter could be the cause, especially after the thicker oil that got stuck in the filter and the pump probably has a harder flow. In any case, I have already ordered a new one and will report the result
Unfortunately the situation Im dealing with here is a spider a bit bigger than that😂😂
Great video, thanks! 2004 E320.
Thanks for watching, we appreciate your kind words!
THANK YOU! My couch feels like new after tightening the springs. I didn't have to take mine apart like yours, but flipped it on its back, pulled up the fabric on the underside just along the front of the couch so I could reach in with the channel locks, then restapled.
You're welcome! That's a great tip, thanks for sharing :)
I have a GLK350 m276 '15. Hope it's this easy to get her started.
Is it same for the 2002(w209) clk 200?
These steps generally apply to flushing the power steering reservoir on most vehicles. You should double-check part numbers and fluid specs for your CLK.
That's simple but effective. Thanks very much for this.
but your old fluid is yellow and not green !
Yes you are right I noticed when I did mine and actually my mechanic told me mercedes steering fluid is not chf the green on they using.
Ml350 2015 btw please remake video with more light and arrows I can't see anything you are talking about
I'm gonna have to try that paper trick!
Can you share the data received by this device with another system?
Sure, you can write a script that would send the data to another program / app or you could use the pin outs and send the data that way. For example, you could have a signal sent to one or more pins based on the can message received. Lots of interesting possibilities there. For example, you could trigger a relay to turn on a set of foglights based on some can trigger instead of a hardwired switch. This board is basically an Arduino + can shield which makes it quite flexible.
I have a w203 motor where does the crank sensor position
Similar location, it is on the driver side of the bell housing just bellow heater hose. You may have to reach a little further on your model to get to it.
Great video, I'm looking to do this to a s211 how much power steering fluid did you use as the good old Internet is giving loads of different information from 1 litre to 8 litres which is a huge difference
Thank you, this video was filmed on our wagon :) we used close to 2L. However, if you replace the filter before flushing, you might be able to use closer to 1L.
@fatherandsonfix thank you for your reply 👍🏼, I'll get the extra litre just in case lol
In some upholstery shops, the batting/aka Dacron is adhered to your foam by way of a spray adhesive. 😉
Yes, great tip, thanks for sharing. 🙂
I like your video it helped me a lot and save me the money. Thank you for everything. There’s a best of the best a video of the presenting on the RUclips‘s and I have my 2005 Mercedes-Benz G 500 the same thing on S 500 the engine model M113 the same engine but that’s a great video. Thank you. Looking forward to see more video from you.🎉
Thank you, we really appreciate your kind words! 🙏The G500 and S500 are both amazing vehicles and the M113 is a great engine 🏎️
Use a flat screwdriver to loosen the staples
that's a tried and true method that also works if you don't have the diagonal cutters, a flat head and good old-fashioned adjustable pliers
Can you hack 44 pin EPROM for me I give you dollars
😂 All you guys! Waaay tooo much work. NO Crazy Grinder is needed! Much easier! I hit a curb and shattered both front and back swaybar clamshell bracket pieces on drivers side. So i only had to do one side and i didnt even take off the whole sway bar. Left the passenger side intact. For the front bracket allen head bolts First i cut down a allen head socket to one inch length. Next i put a jack under the front bumper and gently lifted it a pinch just to give me tad more clearance to the upper allen bolt. The bumper will flex upward slightly lifting that lower metal contraption up out of the way a little. Just go easy. Put the one inch allen wrench piece in and slipped a closed end box wrench over it and easily took the two front bolts out. Next for the back bolts. Remove the main front big bolt for the front of the lower control arm. Real easy. Its right there in front next to the swaybar bracket. After that, go behind and use a pry bar and lever down the front of the control arm. It will flex some out of the way due to it having all rubber connections giving more clearance for those back torx bolts. If need be, again cut down a torx bit socket to a short piece if need be and put a closed end box wrench over it. My car is 20 years old and i had no problem getting the back bolts out. So dont know what the other guy is talkin about rust. First order of business is i replaced those two rear torx bolts with the same length HEX HEAD bolts. Now, if need be, i can easily reach in with a box wrench from the side and and remove those two back bolts with ease.
does one have to be the O-ring seperately? What's the part number? Thanks! Great video
thank you! Part number is 0279979548 always double-check that your model or year applies.
can any body tell me what a M112 is? is that the W211 ???
M112 is the v6 gas/petrol engine, M113 is the V8 engine.
I HAVE A HARMONIC BALANCE WITH FIVE HOLES IN IT {2009 mercedes e320 bluetec 3.0 diesel. the pins in holder will not line up with the balancer i have. FIVE HOLES IN BALANCER.
Thanks for your tip which will help others with the E320 bluetec. If the three pins don't line up, you could try measuring to see if two of the pins will line up, then grind down one. However, it may best to look for another removal tool.
the pins on tool should be 72 deg
right on with that 72 deg . now how do i find the tool i need. i need too get my money back and get right tool...
@@michaelbrueckner3893 Yes 360/5 = 72. The tool we have is 360/3 = 120. We thought if you could shave the sides to get the 120 out to 144, but probably not. We've seen people weld their own tools before. There are also universal holders that adjust.
Will it make any difference if the tab is in the unlocked position overtop the sensor? My car gives me issues with the code p0335 and it shudders a little going into second gear, and really shudders going uphill. But again, these issues are all intermittent and with various degrees of seriousness. Plus, if I have to accelerate hard, it has twice stalled on me and threw the engine light, which reset the light and issue after I pulled over, turned the car off, let it sit for a bit and turned it back on.
Intermittent and then engine cooling and having it work again are typical for the sensor being bad. If the connection is intermittent, heat could also cause the connection to go in and out. If you haven't replaced the sensor and are experiencing these symptoms, that's the first place to start. If you have replaced the sensor and the tab is not engaging, try some 100% silicone spray lightly to ease the plug on. Hard to tell without seeing whether the tab not being engaged means it is not fully seated, sometimes the plastic tabs get brittle and don't want to reseat fully.
@@fatherandsonfix well, tried fixing it, could not get to the sensor, and I don't have nor could afford to get jack stands to try to come at it from below, or to get a camera to find the sensor and see the work in the tight space. I did of course move around in the area trying to get to it, but didn't really mess with anything. But then, after I put everything back together, the car is now having trouble starting. But like previous symptoms, it seems to improve the more and longer the car runs. But if it sits for awhile, it has trouble cranking. The bad part is that this happened on my last day off this week, and when I didn't have the money to get it fixed. Also, not many around here are skilled or confident working on a European car that isn't a stealership. But at least it's driveable to a European mechanic about an hour away. Also, it's giving an error about the brakes before it turns over fully, which didn't happen yesterday when the trouble cranking started, which disappears and doesn't come back when the car is running. I just wanted to give an update. It always seems like I'm cursed when I try to do a seemingly simple repair to my cars. I always mess something up making the problem worse. So I'm not touching my car anymore. My car also has a problem with the passenger directional headlight being stuck to the right, the driver side passenger floor light isn't working, the rear dome light isn't working, the rear sunshade won't retract. Everything else I can live with except this sensor issue.
@@fatherandsonfixis this process the same for V8 engines? I have an '04 e500 4matic. I'm having a good mechanic at a dealership do this. They specialize in Fords, but have worked on other cars, just not Mercedes. This seems like a simple for a good mechanic job, and I know the mechanic and owner, they're really good. I can't find any local mechanics who can work on my car quick enough and I need my car.
@@fatherandsonfix so the dealer fixed it and inspected the car for $250, but the question is, how much and how easy to fix the rear suspension? He said it's leaking oil.
@@fatherandsonfix and how much and how easy to fix a stuck directional headlight
