Works for you works for me too 👍
Can you link to the router bit used to make this?
Unfortunately RUclips doesn’t allow links on shorts anymore. You can click on the related video below and there is an Amazon link I the description of that video. Otherwise just search Freud tongue and groove bit set on Amazon and you should be able to find it. How this helps.
It's only safe till it slips
Cool idea
Awesome table Aaron! I was hesitant on buying the Yukon 60” work bench at harbor freight but when I went there and looked at the display sample. I was shocked how wobbly and how low the table was. Please if you have the time upload a longer version of this video.
I do have a longer video but there isn’t any talking. I am currently working on a 1 year review video that will be out soon. I will have free plans available as well. Stay tuned!
A coffin lid?
Safe is a relative term.
Safer than any other way you’d try to do that without a router table or a edger
Safety third, looks good as used, only looks dangerous till it was.only hurts for awhile till it heals,it's all good till it isn't.
Ha. I was doing that this morning, with curved, laminated linings for acoustic guitars. I was asking myself the same question.
Hello! I like what you do and how you do it! Very perfect! I follow you from Romania. I also did a carpentry workshop. I also learned to work with wood for 10 years in Austria. the car you bought is super cool, quality! Good luck in the future, God bless you!!!
Thank you for the kind words! May the Lord bless you as well!
It's super safe. Don't ever tell anyone something is not safe. It's demeaning. Let him learn it on his own. Darwin has a closet full of awards.
Looks good 👍
No.
For a little round over sure.
Only if you respect the tool and maintain your focus.
Nope. Loosing a finger
Not
Top! Profi!!! GBY!
But firearm videos get flagged for community safety!
I’m not arguing this
You shouldn't need to post something on the internet asking if it's safe to take a particular action, particularly after the fact.
Id honestly use some ca glue with 2 strips of painters tape, 1 to my bench and one on the board then glue the tape together to my bench and then start cuttin takes 2 seconds to do and less risk of injury
@@dustinandrew67 not a bad idea 👍
Тож в чому сенс шліфовки поперечини
Sure, 99% safe...I'm going to try the same thing tomorrow...
@@ceasrmata3167 be careful! The general consensus is this isn’t safe.
It’s in my vice set up like that right now lol you guys watching me joking
Negative
hello , what model is this ? thanks
Model # DCS356C1 👍
Did you use mineral oil to finish?
I used a product called Clark’s Cutting board oil. Pretty sure it’s just mineral oil with lemon scent.
@aaronbebeau perfect thank you!
As long as your fingers come back hell yea! Safe is in the eye of the beholder, or the injured!
No blood No foul
I like how easy it is to switch blades. We had these when i worked for my boss
Me too! Loving this tool!
Stupid at best
Yes somebody finally backing their router around the end grain to keep her from splitting!!!!
Cutting board?
@@CrazyManwich more of a serving board. Charcuterie ish
@ I like the idea of the sliding dovetail with a thick spine as the riser.
Thank goodness you spent all that time to make a super strong dovetail so it can hold the enormous weights it'll need to carry.
Not one for aesthetics I see 👍
I'm German and I just learned a new word. Dovetail Thx for that
Take your time with it, make sure its secure in the vice, dont be an idiot.. then its plenty safe.
Are any power tools actually safe?
Look at router accident and the aftermath I would say not safe
Wait for Winter and you will see how the boars shrinks and the feet protrude outward. I made the same mistake.
@@PrzemysawNalepka meh that won’t bother me. That’s the nature of wood
It's winter now
For a panel that small it is about 1/32 of movement, that’s negligible
Oh I imagine it'll stick out at least 15 cm on each end
@@lanceroberthough1275 lol
It’ll buff.
What wood species is this? Thank you.
Maple
Sure it's safe if your mindful of what your doing.
If you know what you're doing, yes it is safe.
Im good with YOU doing it
Looks good from my house
Depends, are you forklift certified?
lol I actually am
It would be a lot safer if you put the top of the router in the Vise and not the battery. Even then, I still wouldn't try it myself, and no, I would not consider this safe.
Done this a hundred times and also did the same set-up with my belt sander. Safe? We don't need no stink'n safe!
Totally safe
Is that a router table in the background?
@@Jdanford24 I’m ashamed to say it is. Talk about lazy huh
