Nokia LPT 114 TV Subwoofer - Quick Test
Hi! Welcome back in today's speaker testing video! Today we're testing a refoamed Nokia LPT 114 subwoofer that i found from an old Nokia CRT tv. Sadly i didn't take the original satellites of this subwoofer, as they were completely rotted and they were small oval speakers that i couldn't get surrounds for. But i was able to refoam this subwoofer speaker and damn it sounds really good for a tv subwoofer! Nice deep punchy bass! Has some port noises but it's really hard to find a tv subwoofer which doesn't have port noises even at higher volumes.

Nice finding, My favorite was that JVC 3.1 system😊
Smasnug and sonyk are probably one of the best sounding drivers to own
@@RTX_Labs_Productions well not really. There are way better speaker drivers than Samsungs and sonys. But yeah, a lot of them sounds quite nice!
@@the_speaker_tester yeah well i pick on sound quality and build quality so if its trash and broken, i will just blew the up on YT
I also like to go on a hunt for some speakers but not TV speakers I found some great speakers like a pair of 1960s Beovox Speakers, an bose acoustimas sub, 3 pairs of control one, a whole magnat sound system, magnat all ribbon Speakers and i often find bargains on willhaben like a whole workng canton Plus S and C system for under 80 euros. Through my dads connections he got me two bose freespace ds 100f speakers and a whole LD systems PA system all for free. Not everthing i get is free e.g. when my grandpa takes me to the dump they know us and give me huge discounts and sometimes they give it to me for free they only want beer and thats it.

best advice, when you find speakers with undamaged box, take them with box ( you find one sub with box in good shape and i think you trow away that box...that one can be one nice working sub for one project or for small car) And what you will do with that speakers? i am just curious 😂? You find some great speakers
You really should get a separate bass amp for testing the subs! I have one to test them and it's waay better

Yeah, i guess the 5" Nokia sub in this enclosure is really rare. But i have an 5" DVC Philips sub in the same enclosure that i have only. Both are really rare and this one too. Btw, not 4" but 4.5" 😄

Hello! It's not a full range, it is a midwoofer, and i didn't used any tweeters in the video, as you can hear the highs are a bit muffled, because only this woofer was playing any sound.

1:59 i have the midrange speaker! Only this speaker. But i can make a set I have Other Sony, Mid Woofer voluminous bass! Start -8db 30hz +3 db 40hz +0 db 50hz sadly 150hz too :( 10:50 cheap looking but it has a good speaker inside 1:59 i have the soni midrange speakers! 1:59 I can make a completely set.
