Don't know what gearing you have on that but with a good tune an the right gears you will go 45+. Mine without the wheelie bar on the back will do a backflip from standstill. When you find the sweet spot on the engine tune it will pop wheelies all the time pulling off.

I have the nitro rustler which has the slipper clutch. i just don't get the whole purpose of the slipper clutch thing. I noticed you run your tight which they say not. Could you please help me understand the function of it. i set mine to what traxxas recommended which is bottom it out and 1 to 1/4 turn out but you can hear it slipping. it has speed but i feel if it was bottom out like yours it would be better. Any help is very much appreciated.

Old vid I know but a 1/4 to a 1/2 lean on the high speed would get you to 40

why cant you keep yours down... loosin the damn slipper clutch man... good god your gonna shatter that transmission... loosin the slipper clutch watch your trigger fingy and she will lay flat every time..... this guys the type that just jams it in without any consideration of the other person... plus to go 60+ your gonna need something along the lines of a gear ratio of 2.75....sooooo that would be around 25pinion/75spur.... at the least....even 25/75 is only 3.0 so you can gear it more but your motor and esc as in true traxxas fashion will overheat and burn up at those levels....

Great run man! its easy to hear when you hit the leanest it can get while still making power, after 1 of the speed runs the motor starts to 'sing' this is what i call it.(the sound starts to bounce around as if its happy) this is hearable at 6:42 when you let go of the throttle, the sound kinda wobbles. this accounts for all nitro engines. if this sound gets more aggressive you are leaning it out too much or the engine temp is too hot, either way a richer setting is advised.

Are you running 20% or 30% or 33 in there

I bought a used rustler nitro some parts are lose and it seem like it needs some work on it, I definitely will use your videos for reference and try to put it together and make it run again, great job on that video 👍🏾

I still have my og Traxxas tmaxx I bought in 2000. Still has the original engine. Haven't busted it out in a decade. Really wanting to get back into the hobby now that I have big boy money
