    how long do u rest between sets on bench

    • @BilboTeamEnglish
      @BilboTeamEnglish 3 дня назад

      Between the Bilbo set and the next one, rest for 2-4 minutes. For subsequent sets, take a break of 1-3 minutes. My goal post-Bilbo is optimal muscle stimulation, so shorter rest periods are ideal. These brief pauses allow for sufficient recovery, preventing muscle congestion loss. So, I usually rest between one and three minutes, typically around two minutes. If it’s help you, please share the video .

    Kind of odd, 130kg x 21 reps followed by 130kg for only 8 and then 120kg sets? Those sets are so far from any failure that i don't see how its not junk volume?

    • @BilboTeamEnglish

    How many Bilbo sets do you recommend for one cycle and what’s a good amount of cycles to perform for strength adaptation periods.

    • @BilboTeamEnglish
      @BilboTeamEnglish 16 дней назад

      A cycle usually lasts between seven and 12 workouts, depending on the adaptation you have and the improvement you are getting. In terms of adaptation to strength, between two and three cycles is usually sufficient.

      @Awakenedmind333 16 дней назад

      @@BilboTeamEnglish I appreciate the reply. I just started last week on multiple exercises. I thought about doing 4 sets a cycle. 1st set: 40-50 reps 2nd set: 30-40 reps 3rd set: 20-30 reps 4th set: 15-20 reps. I’m hoping that I can increase the rep ranges each cycle with only 4 sets. If not, I’ll try for 8

      225 lbs it’s a really good weight . However, it's important to consider your height, and individual goals. If you're looking to improve your fitness, you might want to try different workout routines. Bilbo sets are a type of strength training workout that can be effective. Quick question. You do a bilbo set followed by 5-8 regular sets. At what point do you lift heavy to see what your 1 RM is? At some point you need to lift heavy to accommodate your tendons and joint. When does the heavy lifting happen?

    • @BilboTeamEnglish
      @BilboTeamEnglish Месяц назад

      I don’t lift heavy weights. I estimate my 1RM using a table, which, while not 100% accurate, gives a good indication of progress. The formula is: (Weight lifted * number of reps * 0.03) + weight lifted = estimated 1RM 1RM stands for one-rep max. Example: 100kg x 30 reps (100300.03)+100= 190kg I do heavy lifting at the end of my Bilbo program. I do a strength adaptation phase of 2-8 weeks using a similar scheme. We have a video explaining it on our website called STRENGTH ADAPTATION : 04 PHASE OF ADAPTATION TO BILBO METHOD STRENGTH] bilboteam.com/en/contact/ With this training, tendons and joints suffer less and get stronger. When I was 20, I had elbow and wrist pain lifting 120kg. Now, after 30 years of training, and more than 23 years using the Bilbo Method, I don’t need wrist or elbow wraps, and I have no problems lifting 240kg or doing sets of 8-10 reps with 180kg.
