I feel like no one can help me or give me answers. I am so scared what my future holds when I am elderly. My anxiety/ death thoughts are plaguing my mind. No doctor can give me any answers. I am currently doing physical therapy and have been on lexapro. I start to do ok and then it comes back and I have a bad day. Is it normal to be up and down? Also, do you think lexapro is hurting my ears in an ototoxoc way?

Thank you! Super helpful! At the end you speak about how people with bilateral vestibular dysfunction will need to be visual dependent. Does that mean that some with bilateral loss should still be doing these visual retraining exercises still? And the expectation is that it won’t get back to 100% since it’s a bilateral issue so really you need the vision to be more sensitive to take over for the lack of functionality? Thank you!!

I buy my supplement from Amazon Pharmacy, so I am going to stick up for them. I researched brands and prices of methylated Vitamin B supplements, and found a good one in Amazon pharm. As for CBD, I thought you were going to say "Don't buy at a gas station". Amazon is a reputable company. I get my cbd straight from the manufacturer in Kentucky, and it is organic. And I believe them. And better yet, they work well for me.

I've been going to ENT doctor when I have a vertigo episode and it doesn't seem to help very much and they only spent a few minutes with me and do the Epley maneuver only once. Am I better off not going to an ENT doctor or going to a vestibular PT specialist? I've lost faith in the ENT doctors. When I get a vertigo episode, the ENT doctor does the Epley maneuver on me only once and then I'm still feeling lightheaded for weeks and weeks

I had this exact issue last night and today when my anxiety gets worse, I can’t sleep, my mind race, my brain hits a deep fog,I feel like it’s hard to breathe and I end up having to take a muscle relaxer just to sleep. A lot of it mimics a heart attack but it ends up never being it and my whole day is shot until I get a good nights rest. I would just like some relief that works quickly so I can get on with my normal everyday living.

My dizziness came on suddenly and eventually I was diagnosed with residual dizziness from bppv. I went to vestibular pt for 2 months. I had a couple brief time periods where the dizziness went away but it came back. About 7 months I woke up one morning with weird stiffness in my next. I did heat and ibuprofen for a week and it improved. But ever since then I have the urge to adjust my neck all day. After almost a year of dizziness I finally went to a neurologist who agreed we didn’t feel this was bppv. My dizziness was never spinning rather it was more a feeling of being off balance or lightheaded. The neurologist recommended pt for my neck and anti depressant/anxiety low dose. By week:, my dizziness subsided. I felt amazing. It went away and I felt myself for the first time in a year. By the 3rd month it came back a little so the doctor upped my dose and I’m in week 4 and doing better. My neck still. Feels tight and I still feel the need to adjust it al lot. Should I get imaging to find out if my dizziness is coming from my neck?

Hello 👋 My name is JENNIFER. I’ve had VM & PPPD since 2017. It took me about two years before I could walk without assistance. Now I can drive, play with my grandkids, etc. I do have my down days though. I wanted to say how important the information you provided is. It took me about five years to figure this out. I’m not the same person I used to be since experiencing this trauma. Figuring out your limitations and being honest about them with your friends and loved ones is so important! Sometimes I just can’t do things. I just need to stay at home and regroup my brain. And I’m to the point now where if people don’t understand then those are the people I need to stay away from. I am removing needy people (aka energy vampires) from my life. Some of those people don’t understand why I have to disassociate with them. And that’s OK with me. I’m protecting and taking care of myself. Self-care is number one! I love listening to your channel. It’s so insightful. Unfortunately I am not able to afford your private group, but maybe one day I will. Thank you!

This was great to hear! Thank you for your honest examples. I was in a recent flare and a friend asked me a favor to help check in on her mom who has dementia. I also am dealing with my own mom who has dementia and I was in this flare but she didn’t know it as she was pretty consumed with her own issues at the time and I at first committed to helping her and then had to back out after reviewing my boundaries and health at the time. Pretty much have heard crickets from her for weeks and it is hard to try to explain to people your health situation when some people have the energizer bunny way about them and just keep going regardless. Anyways, something for me to think about.

Tamara and I are the same! VM started in 2015 but didn't know what it was but it let me know I was in peri. Spent 5 months with an attack, got Dr Bei's book and finally got diagnosed. I pretty much manage it with nutrition, magnesium and ginger but if they don't work I take fioricet for attacks. Also have theraspecs. Did 3 months of PT but don't do the exercises regularly. 😥 Currently having an attack and the health anxiety is ridiculous. I think I'm triggered by the stress of moving.

I was born with heart disease I have had three open heart surgeries I thought the dizziness was because of my heart disease. I had heart surgery again 8 months ago and I now have blood flow from my heart. I saw a neurologist and after a few tests and questions it said highly likely to have vestibular migraines. I always feel off balance like I don't know depth perception and I kind of walk on my tippy toes and lose balance. And today when I was washing dishes I suddenly got dizzy just standing there and I can't stand I can't sit everything just gets dizzy and I can't grasp reality . Hard to describe.

This may sound silly… I *may* have had a MTBI in April 2023. I think, from a physiotherapist, I have a lapse in my vestibular system. I notice I feel disoriented and slightly off balance when I move my neck. This isn’t forever right? I will get better?
