    Ok sifu, I understand the theory, however there is a problem. I bet that if you ask your students about this, more than 80% are going to say that these two lines are the same and if there is a difference, more than 90% are not going to be able to explain the difference. I won't blame them but whoever came up in the Win Chun system with the nouns for these two different geometric figures. The first one is correct, center line, but the second one is not a line, should not be called central line and is far from been one for everybody that know simple geometry. When the center line cut our body from head to the floor, it divides the body into areas, gates or planes and not lines. So, would be correct to say, we could block on the center line, but we could also block on the left upper gate, right upper gate, right middle or whatever the case may be, but never on the central line since there is none. The central line do not exist at all. Instead of gate we may use plane as well. But never, never, central line. That is a serious problem and that is why students don't understand this ambiguous and confusing Win Chun theory. This is wrong. I'm not a sifu, but you are, maybe you could start a movement to change the terminology and bring everybody to the same page, light and understanding. It is sad that even some Win Chun masters, when talking about a punch on the central line, they are like looking for a line where to punch. They don't know that that punch could land anywhere in any of the gates but not on the center line. Sorry, that took me too long to explain myself, but somebody must correct this wrong terminology in Win Chun for the sake of the students, maybe you're the one. Thanks sifu.

    • @sifukeith-wingchun
      @sifukeith-wingchun 5 месяцев назад

      The Energy in Wing Chun Comes through the spine. You combine your breathing with your strikes. Make sure you use short exhales when you strike. The Triceps extend the arms so training the wall push ups help greatly. Relax the biceps when you punch.Use full extension on your punches. The power is added also by stepping while you hit. Using your opponents force as he tries to sire you stepping off the line and stepping toad him at an angle to avoid his force redirecting it with your books and striking. It become similar to aa head o collision except your punch to his body hope this helps all the best and thank you for your question

    Sorry sifu but you have always your groin open for a kick, both when you are in front and when you are on 45 degrees. it's not a good thing. You front leg should be on your center, pointing the other center, only so you can avoid a kick to the groin. And throwing elbows from so far is useless if the elbow can not reach the target, you should do the exercise more close, because in closer range the conterattack to an elbow change completely... The technique you are using here is useless from close range and even from far range because in far range there is no reason to defend from an elbow that Simply can not reach you... Look here the leg always ready ruclips.net/video/5UtVxxxxGpI/видео.htmlsi=nudQ-_g3XgNQr7Hq
