LAX to Anaheim: The Best Transit Options Explained
Working in hotels in the Anaheim Resort area, we get calls from guests planning their business trip or trip to Disneyland with ground transportation from Los Angeles International Airport (call sign: LAX). There are a few options but cost well over $120 for taxi, rideshare, or shuttle van. However, if you are not in a time crunch, want to save money on ground transportation, and you can take the scenic route via transit cheaply as $25.75 to even $1.75 a person. The recent full video was about taking transit from LAX to Anaheim by transit, a longer version of this short with two more transit options. ruclips.net/video/x-9h6wBc8uQ/видео.htmlsi=GuyFOPOrEmf_s75i . The video before that was about the LA Clipper new arena, Intuit Dome. ruclips.net/video/ZLkgppPJKms/видео.htmlsi=BVkIoBqcww6UiMx2 .
Did you see who going to the Super Bowl?
Yes, the Chiefs and the Eagles.
Just don't come here if you're not renting a car. Safe rule of thumb. :)
Either rent a car or rideshare would be the best options otherwise. Most Anaheim Resort area guests do rideshare if they are not going too many places. If they are going around everywhere in SoCal, definitely rent a car.
Can't wait for my stay at the Murlot coming up!
Yeah, we can't wait for your arrival!
Thanks for providing details on transport, I wish they had a better system in place like the Dodgers bus. They claim to have transport back to Hawthorne but havent seen any videos on it.
Bus connections are not really clear when I went back in November 2024 besides taking the LA Metro 112 for C line from Hawthorn/Lenox, a stop next to Intuit Dome, and 212 stops at Downtown Inglewood for the K Line. Along with 117 buses to Avation/Century station for C & K lines. Their website did not have any real information when I went back in November 2024, but they have a bit more options now. There is a “micro-transit shuttle” with reservations, and the “LA Metro Connector shuttle” to the stops that both 212 & 117 accomplish and never found the connector shuttles. I wish they have show ticket & board the frequent game day shuttles of Dodger Bus and SoFi event shuttles as well. intuitdome.com/plan-your-visit/parking-information/transportation-options

@@antsoltravel is there a metrolink train that stops at Lagona station and goes straight to la
Metrolink’s Orange County line goes from Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo to Los Angeles Union Station.
@@antsoltravel I thought it goes to Oceanside
My apologies, the Orange County line goes from Oceanside to Los Angeles Union Station. Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo is a stop on the line. It is the terminus for some of the OC Line trains is what also meant to put on there.
Personally as one who likes trains a lot. I would say all three commuter trains have their pros and cons. The main one being with Metrolink in terms of their schedules. They aren’t the best times through out the week in terms of connecting from Oceanside since they only have the Orange County and Inland Empire lines that terminate there and originate back to their base destinations. Orange County Line to Los Angeles, and Inland Empire line to San Bernardino Downtown. A huge pro to Metrolink as an entirety is the fact it has multiple lines to connect to different destinations like that of Los Angeles so on and so forth. Then, NCTD has not really a big con to it. The only con would be laying over to go past Oceanside for the most part just like Metrolink going onward to Santa Fe Depot in Downtown San Diego. The pro is that it’s a lot cheaper to take coaster than Amtrak Pacific Surfliner out of Oceanside alone. It’s worth the money to just take coaster if you are planning to go from any of the Coaster stops to Santa Fe Depot and back. Finally, here is the take on Amtrak Pacific Surfliner. This Con is only because the train may have lower priority on the entire line out of the three commuter trains along with the price. It’s more expensive than the other commuter trains. While it’s worth the money I think in terms of not having as many stops as Coaster or Metrolink. Metrolink has the con of having to stop at more stations as an entirety than Amtrak Pacific Surfliner. Amtrak Pacific Surfliner has a more direct connection between San Diego and Los Angeles and a quicker connection to Goleta and San Luis Obispo from San Diego. 4 trains a day connect to Goleta and two of them per day operate all the way to San Luis Obispo. Although, the other thing about the length of waiting is in Los Angeles where they crew change and switch head ends for instance, cabcar to locomotive for heading northbound towards Goleta or San Luis Obispo. Overall, I personally would take Amtrak Pacific Surfliner if going North of Oceanside or straight to San Diego in the areas north of Oceanside. Metrolink is useful when traveling somewhere where Amtrak Pacific Surfliner doesn’t stop at. NCTD Coaster would be best if in the Oceanside-San Diego area.
Well put, DJMasterty! All the services have their pros and cons. I reside in Anaheim and thankfully both Amtrak Pacific Surfliner & Metrolink Orange County line, so I have options when I can go to Los Angeles or San Diego Counties, and definitely take Surfliner to San Diego. Both can get delayed by freight traffic from Los Angeles to Fullerton, as I took the Metrolink OC line 600 this yesterday morning for a video as it was delayed thirty minutes due to speed restrictions, causing commuters & me to be late, and freight traffic too. Metrolink has tons of commuter service to LA in the morning & outbound in the evening, likewise with the Coaster. Surfliner squeezing in the remaining time frames, and then freight trains thrown in between, biggest problem if Metrolink wants to increase future service. Metrolink is good to LA for the day, however, there is only one outbound morning OC train to Oceanside, making going to San Diego limited via Metrolink. At least I can connect with Surfliner if needed to the Coaster if the timing does not too well.
Hi how many metrolink trains go to the desert?
The only Metrolink line that goes a desert environment is to Lancaster via Antelope Valley line to the Mojave Desert with 22 weekdays, and 12 weekend trains.
@@antsoltravel I thought the antelope valley line goes to via princess
The Antelope Valley line ends in Lancaster with some trains end in Via Princessa. 30 Trains stop at Via Princessa on weekdays and 24 on weekends, with 8 trains terminate there on weekdays and 12 trains terminate on weekends, and the rest go to Lancaster. Here is the PDF schedule for more details. metrolinktrains.com/globalassets/schedules/timetables/2023/web_alllines_23-11-06_spreads.pdf
@@antsoltravel how come the Orange County line doesn’t blow the horn but the San Bernardino line and Antelope line and Ventura county line blow their horn?
Quiet Zones: For communities that is near the train crossings, they would be annoyed by the constant horns, so they write in to their county transportation agency to do quiet zones so the train engineers don't blast the train horn at the train crossings. However, if there are issues with the crossing gates or in an emergency, the engineer can sound the horn. Personally, I have been busy the last week with family. Then dealing with being sick the last few days does not help either.
Oh no
Sorry to hear that.
Hi I’m curious about metrolink trains that go to different locations do you know any?
Hello Ethan, Metrolink is a commuter train service that primarily starts at Los Angeles Union Station, then branches out to Ventura, Lancaster, San Bernardino, Riverside, Perris, and Oceanside, so you can go to the terminal locations & many other destinations along the routes through out Southern California. At Anaheim, where the video takes place, from the train station, you can walk to Angel Stadium & Honda Center, or take the OC Bus & Anaheim Resort Transportation bus to the GardenWalk, Anaheim Convention Center, and of course, Disneyland.
Yeah I’ve only been on the one to la union station and San Bernardino I know there’s one that goes to Oxnard because my dad lives there so I need too ride it and I also want to ride it to ocean side
Metrolink is great to traverse the SoCal region by train, however, the commuter based schedules can make some trips nearly impossible to do. At least Metrolink parallels the route from Los Angeles to Oxnard & to Oceanside with 20 trains from Los Angeles to San Diego on Amtrak Pacific Surfliner, to make some trips work via transfers from Metrolink. You can check out my Anaheim to Oceanside train ride as well on my transit channel for a preview of the route. ruclips.net/video/FHrkXicPKRA/видео.htmlsi=o2FGrXoQ8UTfUzC6
Do all metrolinks routes start at union station?
All start at Los Angeles Union Station except for the Inland Empire-Orange County line from Oceanside to San Bernardino, and the Arrow only trainsets from San Bernardino to the University of the Redlands.
Cool
Thank you!
By the way can you make a video of that train that looks exactly like metrolink
That is the North County Transit District’s Coaster commuter train. There are some plans in the works for a video about the Coaster.

Comic cons have nothing to do with comics anymore, and the cosplayers trying to get you to follow them on Instagram should be herded into their own little pen to be weird sex hustlers by themselves.
I agree that Comic Cons don't deal with much comic books anymore as the banners I saw on the street have San Diego Comic Con's motto of "Celebrating the Popular Arts" so it is more inclusive of all media that is being celebrated. However, comics have taken a back seat the last couple decades.
What kind of food is there? And cost
Food trucks are by Food Truck Smackdown food truck network. The trucks there are similar to the ones at WonderCon, you can see them with the link here www.comic-con.org/wca/food-trucks Entree costs are roughly $15 to $20 at most trucks. The Italian Ice I got was $8. The Convention Center concession stands for coffee is EcoGrounds coffee at the exhibit halls, coffee is roughly $3.50, pastries about $5. The main convention center food courts are in the exhibit halls as well with hot dog, hamburgers, fries, pretzels, and premade sandwiches. Most entrees are $15, drinks about $7 at most. These are rough estimates since I already left for the day. Thank you for your question!

Thank you for watching!
Antelope Valley really should be its own county. Palmdale/Lancaster are stuck paying 1.5 cent sales tax to support LAMetro subways. This commuter rail is a sort of consolation prize.
Being that Lancaster & Palmdale is 70 miles away, it does not feel like you are still in Los Angeles County. So you are not wrong for suggesting them not pay LA Metro subway taxes since they don't get any benefit from it.
In most states, they would be in separate counties. CA counties are geographically huge.

Great video, hopefully frequency will be increased when there is more demand after the high speed rail to Vegas is completed.
Thank you! It is fairly frequent with 17 trains in each direction. However, the single tracking between Los Angeles Union Station & El Monte bottlenecks how many more trains can be added on unless they double-track it somehow. Maybe an extension of the LA Metro Gold L line from Azuza to Rancho Cucamonga could work.
I looked for this video just for that reason. I also looked at how long it takes from Rancho Cucamonga to Union to see if the HSR is less than 4 hours total travel time.
@@checkoutmyyoutubepage It is an hour and half from Los Angeles to Rancho Cucamonga on Metrolink, then two and half hours to Las Vegas on Brightline. So about more or less four hours from Los Angeles to Las Vegas. The Brightline train has to be extended all the way to Los Angeles to be a more viable option than driving for a larger portion of the LA population.
@@antsoltravel still easier than driving or taking a bus. I refuse to fly.
@@antsoltravel double tracking and adding electrification to allow brightline direct access to LA union station would be most ideal however that definitely seems like a far fetched dream. The gold line extending to Rancho Cucamonga also seems like a good idea since it’s higher frequency. At the very least brightline can create their schedule with the metro link schedule in mind to make easy transfers.
