This video is dedicated to Roxanne Kilby, who has a really varied and interesting blues channel going on Facebook. All the pictures in this little video were found heedlessly laying around on the internet. This is in tribute to Lefty Dizz and Shock Treatment. Quick, cheap video editing by Steve the Healer at Lightpourer Studios. (~*~) Enjoy ...
Joe Walsh - Turn to Stone (2nd May 1975)

From an old VHS tape, a repeat broadcast on VH1 in 1975 of an original "In Concert" show from ABC recorded in September 1973 at Santa Monica Civic Auditorium, CA., and first broadcast on 7 December 1973. I SO wish I had been there to feel the power of this guitarist. This clip is elsewhere on RUclips marked as 1975. There's no doubt about the talent of this band. Kenny Pasarelli on bass and the...

One of the best bands in the world, captured on VHS tape so lots of wow and flutter. Still, one of the most moving versions of this song I ever heard. God bless 'em.

What a great player..straight to the point..powerful..melodic too.
Joe Walsh has been slaying it with musicianship and vocals and so many awesome guitars he plays live he's still great
Now comes the real question: Which Joe Walsh is better? Les Paul Joe or Strat Joe ?
This is just about as good as it gets folks.
Joe is eternal! Sincerely miss the man!
Joe took a step DOWN to become an Eagle.... Life in the Fast Lane was a warm-up riff that he gifted to The Eagles...
Its Joes' World and we are lucky to live in it!!!! Wonder what the amp / rig setup for this song...
Thanks to God for records and the record player
Mr.Walsh didn't need the Eagles, the Eagles needed Joe Walsh.
This is the Joe most of us oldsters knew. Raw, juiced, a bit beyond. beautiful!
I keep coming back to this video. I missed last time, but his crew is also awesome. And that drummer, man. This prob is my favourite versions of this song.
This rules so hard Who's his band on here?
Ferocious, ultra confident, master of domain wizardry. Walsh guitar face is HOF ATG.
fascinating, pure emotions ❤❤❤
One of my favorite songs of all time. This is some epic fkyn shit right here. If you don’t love this then You must not have a soul, heart, passion or any taste in music at all. JOE FKYN ROCKS ASSES ! 🤘🏼💀🤘🏼. 🔊. 🤘🏼💀🤘🏼
One of the truly great guitarists. Mesmerising !
I've probably commented on this before but, I remember seeing this on 'The Old Grey Whistle Test' in the mid/late 70's, and as a fledgling guitar playing teenager, I remember being totally blown away by this performance. It still blows me away, all these years later. There's hints of other things in there, a little nod to Zeppelin's No Quarter maybe, but who cares. It's a great track, and more importantly, it's a great performance and vibe. There's plenty of other videos out there of Joe playing this at different periods in his career, but this is the one. It has IT!!!!
theres talent then theres talent !
Joe didn't need the eagles must been some good herb.
This is savage music for only people who understand. God bless Joe Walsh.
I wonder if that's the Les Paul he gave to Jimmy. wow, has the same Vibes
Joe not Don. Joe fucking Walsh!
"Define intense" :
And they stood in awe and amazement to see and hear the wonder before them ❤ unlike what we see now .... SMH no hate no violence no bad so what happened to music? Now its all about bad stuff u know what I mean and angry stuff who brings that? Just sat saying.. ❤ Bless you
Barnstorm album is a Gem, Diamonds all over it..... and this song is a Meteorite....
The Archangel of Riffage!!!
Laying in a field under the starry night sky
It was still plad in the 80's !!!!¡!!!!
Holy godammit
JW at his finest, epic!
I am so glad that I was alive when rock Gods performed for us mortals.
At 53 I wonder why no one has stepped up to get these audiences again. Powers that be.
Unbelievably awesome!!
I love this man.
Joe Walsh is one of the most underrated guitarists of all time. The Eagles made a very wise decision when they brought this guy on board.
Underrated? He still appears in Guitar magazines regularly and is interviewed all over the place. PRS have a relatively new Joe Walsh model. In guitar circles he certainly isn´t underrated, he is still considered a guitar god and a major influence on most contemporary musicians. I guess it depends on what you read and watch :)
And Joe kindly took a step DOWN to lift their band to new heights....
@@Blue_3rd This was my observation outside of these circles. However, you are correct. I recently had a conversation with someone who plays the guitar (amateurishly, as admitted) and subscribes to Guitar mag (comes in fm the UK). He is, he said, very highly acknowledged among musicians...no doubt. I personally recall seeing his performance on Daryl's House. Unfortunately, I've never been able to catch him in live performance:( Oh, well.
@@francus7227 Funny that you should feel this way. I've heard this comment before. I'm 60/40 in agreement with this...on the 60% side.
I saw the Eagles and they played turn to stone I said that's better than Joe Walsh and a guy turned to me and said that is Joe Walsh he joined the Eagles!
I may be old but I've seen all the best bands!!!
We have been very fortunate to be alive during several periods of truly great music production in many, many genres. .
❤ Joe Walsh. Very good find.
The flames on that 58’ are insane - he wasn’t worried about belt buckle rash
I've watched a lot of performances on RUclips, but this is the only one where you actually feel like you're listening from the audience, fantastic sound !!
Lacerated my brain right there. 🥴
Epic.
Genius Joe. <3
I was listening to him when he was in The James Gang
Wish there was a live album from this time.
His guitar faces are epic as Robin Trowers! Amazing!🤪
Roy brought me here
Love it ❤❤❤❤❤
I genuinely did not know that Joe Walsh could play this well - face ripping solos!
long live rock and roll
