My channel for previews of Mod Projects I am working on and any other gaming shenanigans that I might come up with.
Star Wars Republic Commando Levels in UE5.
This is a short showcase demonstrating the process of using the batch script I wrote to port levels from RC to UE5, there is a pause at 06:20 in the video where I wait for the files to import, as well as clicking "Import All" a lot!
After importing, currently Static Meshes do not have materials assigned, but I am planning to make an Unreal Plugin that will speed up the process of importing and setting up the materials as well as attaching them to the Static Meshes.

Iv tried to get this working but after the splash screen and the control screen it asks for a disc. Please help iv been waiting almost 2 decades for this game
Use level select, start game doesn't work. It's really difficult to play, buggy, laggy, crashes a lot.

@@wabread You can't even get into the main menu? Could be you need to set the emulator to have 128mbs of ram?

I haven't been able to work on it in ages unfortunately.
@@Thor110 if you ever get back to it please let us know and maybe a tutorial because running it through the Xbox emu really isn't ideal can't really play or enjoy it
@@Roxas997 I wrote a tutorial on porting Star Wars Republic Commando to UE4, as for this, it's basically the same process, the GitHub page provides information on how to get it all across to UE4, it's pretty much automated, just requires a little setup and a few programs, it does not however, make the game playable, there's still a lot of work to do in that regard, but it's quick and easy to get the levels loaded up to look around.

I haven't had the time to work on it in quite a while unfortunately as I have been busy with another project, so it's currently at a bit of a stand still but I will get back to it sooner or later.

Hey, wondering how this is going? Would having access to the pc files make things any easier/better for you?
It would give me motivation to get back to working on it for certain! Plus it wouldn't be missing so much content, I have the classes lying around and considered re compiling things for UT2004 but it didn't seem worth it what with the lack of content and low quality models. Hit me up on Discord.

I wish I could work on combining both games in a meaningful way officially! Unfortunately the legality of accepting donations for these projects I have left off of the table, due to the amount of trouble they can cause. Though nothing stops anyone from donating technically, it really comes down to what the donations are actually intended for. While I continue to struggle financially regularly, that is more so the result of me taking on the global financial system than anything else. Nothing stops anyone tracking down my email or checking out my Twitch links though.
damn I need this to be playable, been wating since they cancelled it T_T also, we need a current stargate game, it would be a blast.. sadly is not starwars that has multiples games in current gen.. still I would love to play this.. I have the xbox version, as broken as it is.. and I could get a glimpse of stuff but is so empty as story mode is not accessible that is a bit sad!!! really hope you pull this off!
I was hoping my slow push to make this happen would result in the PC version being leaked, unfortunately so far it has not. Navigating the legal minefield alone in order to make it happen, while also maintaining my other projects has been quite cumbersome. But I am still working on it, it is currently in UE5.3 and I have the best part of a script written that prepares all of the files for importing into Unreal, I am however trying to avoid the end user having to follow some lengthy tutorial in order to prepare the files. All in good time I hope!
@@Thor110 keep it up... I even got sg resistance and world playable and a mgm shot down fan game sg network that was looking very good too.. Now we only have the oficial timeskeepers rts on steam...

A long way off of completion and unfortunately quite buggy currently as well as that I am unable to work on it for a little while, while I attend to life.

Hey, so I realise this videos kinda out of date with the last set of patches, but Im trying to install the Port 1.2.1 patch, I got the one from mod Db, when you get the patch its a zip file, extract it and you get the batch file (and others) that says Use this install please. when I got to use it it asks me wich version of the game i have, I enter wich one and It will recognize my install of KOTOR 1 but doesnt Seem to recognize my installs of 2 despite it being where its supposed to be (i have the steam version for both). Ive used the Main Mod instal wich seemed to work fine, I have all the other mods that are supposed to be installed (admittedly i got them from the team workshop). But yea I cant seem to get the Port mod to work, can you give me any advise?
Try this : pastebin.com/ENZ85PWt Its' a powershell script written by someone else that serves the same purpose. Still not sure why this is happening for some users. Word of warning : the port and the project itself is still very buggy, so don't expect perfection!
So I'm actually going through the same I figured since this video has the version 1.0.4 I went back to deadlystream an found the later version an it still works.. I don't use laptop or computer or any PC I have android an went through each file putting them separately in there folders.. I didn't know that the new new mod had both k1 an k2 together so it would not work for me unless I had a PC to install it I really liked this mod when it first came out an still working to see if I can get it to work properly on Android but it's taking some time.

I'm glad people are still interested in this mod it's an ongoing project that been getting better an better an with star wars getting crazy now I wouldn't be surprised if they revamp this game some how in a way as of right now I hold Kotor2 game an Jedi survivor as my ultimate star wars game.

Do you have to use the KOtor 1 toolbar? I prefer the Kotor 2 one.

No way, I randomly come across this video as I've been messing about attempting to salvage things from this game myself over the past few days. I assume you're still a ways off from getting the game to run, but that's still very hype to see!
Check out my other videos, I have played it through on an Xbox Emulator and have all the levels imported into UE4/5 already, I am just setting this script up so that it can be released one day.

This looks really cool, but I'm wondering if there will be a version that just merges kotor 1 and 2 together without adding new content?
Due to the extra workload required it is unlikely I will create a version without the additional content but I might if I ever finish the project. I have also run into some serious back-end issues that might prevent me from finishing the project, or I will have to make the player start as a Jedi class like in normal KotOR2.
Keep us in the loop on its progress. I’d love to play it once it got sorted.
I will send pictures of my feet for this mod, especially with Elevenlabs taking off for AI voices

It is intended for PC, but also works on mobile, I also have an original Xbox to test it on but haven't done so yet.
Amazing looking project, I can't wait to try it out sometime soon!
I wouldn't rush into it if I were you, still quite buggy, lot's to do unfortunately, but it's somewhat playable, just very buggy.
@@Thor110 Is it primarily all the additional planets, or is it also the entirety of vanilla K1 ported to K2 that's buggy? ^^
@@Thor110 you need a team, man, and VAs eventually, at least some radiant quests and even perhaps persistent mechanics like an underworld war or something where certain cells can be taken and lost from and to AI factions. this mod is too important for you to be swamped and then it becomes just another dream... this is god's work... and the community needs to come together to help you. I've been dreaming of a wider KOTOR/II mod since I was a kid. If this mod gets the support it needs, it could be the one of the best mods I've ever played. God bless.
When expanded galaxy mod will be finished?
It's somewhat of a life-long project, so I might be working on it forever. However, provided I can stabilise my income and free up the time I would like to have it done sooner rather than later.

What I wished the game was like now, those first few planets playing in 2004 felt incredibly vast considering the technological limitations but nowadays I just wish to god for a modern Kotor style game with planet exploration, light side / dark side choices and satisfying combat

I don't know if such a thing is possible but, if you could manage to fix the npc tracking and how they wander about places like the upper city/undercity that'd be nice. I find it un-immersive to have an npc walk in-between my pc and the npc I am speaking to, it just breaks the immersion. This looks ambitious, I realize I am a year late but, I would love to test it but, wonder if it is safe to mod and will I be able to use my current load order with this project of yours? My mods are limited but, I consider the ones I use essential.
I considered having NPCs walk between areas but am not sure how feasible it is, certainly possible but would require a lot of work. I don't suggest using this alongside anything other than what it requires.
Was this mod ever finish? Also what game would you mod this on? KOTOR 1 or 2?
It's built in KotOR2, it's still not finished yet, I haven't been able to devote as much time to it as I would like but I am still working on it slowly but surely.

To be completely honest with you, it's still years off completion, in-fact it may never be "completed" at all. Haven't worked on it in quite a while now. But I hope to be getting back to work on it soon. ( probably at or around the start of next year )

@@konradbrochocki4923 I will put a call out to everyone in various places such as DeadlyStream, Discord and ModDB when I am looking for voice actors. ( still likely to be a long way off ) But first I need to actually write all the new dialogue and furnish the additional areas.

If you mean to KotOR1 then no, but you could wrap controller support in many different ways, but this, it already works for this because it is running inside KotOR2.

@@Virtual_Sphere_ Anyone is welcome to do so, the source files are included inside the modules and override folder, dive on in to the project, message me on Discord for the latest patch files and see if you can fix something! Or just test it out, either way. There are a lot of tutorials on DeadlyStream to help people learn their way into modding KotOR.
wow this is nice man, this is whats missing from kotor, a new game plus or free roam feature. It's kinda frustrating that you have to start all over again when replaying the game.
