Should've enchanted it with providence thorns to kill him smh.
I did this exact same thing a while ago, I tried beating DoG with just pre-mech gear, and I used the Sergeant united shield to deal damage. I didn't beat it by far, but I did get to the second phase a few times. The footage is actually still uploaded on my channel.

It would take close to 1300 parries to kill dog (assuming each parry does 1400 damage) so probably not, considering the fight would easily last over an hour Edit: It took me 2:41 to take off 6% hp. The fight could likely be finished in around 40 or 50 minutes, not an hour
