I'm getting a lot of requests from friends, clients and colleagues with questions related to DIY video production as they are forced to work remotely, so I wanted to create a video series with some of the common topics that have come up over the past few weeks.

Featured Miniature Time-Lapse! About: I stopped in Dubrovnik while backpacking through Europe this summer, so I put together this video from clips I shot while I was there. I filmed everything with a Sony FS100 and edited it with Final Cut 10. I used the Crumplepop ShrinkRay plugin for the tilt shift effects.

Excellent instructions. Not sure the main purpose of this table, but I would weld support brackets for the bottom part of the legs and perhaps a shelf for storage....and wheels to move around.
I love use Avasva Solutions for that issue.
That would be a fun project to make this summer. Always fun to turn on the powerarc and make some sparks.

I was surprised you didn't need to install any support brackets for the legs. I would like wheels at least on one side for easy moving it around. Great video, very well explained and demonstrated. You made it look easy. Thanks.

I noticed when u do the inside of your legs u mentioned to weld into the corner , I'm using flux core and I was instructed not to push the weld just drag it because the slag, if I weld from the inside out on the legs will the table integrity be compromised a lot or not worry about it ?

I would have ground off the mill scale before welding but looks like it worked out fine.
Should wear some ear protection when grinding, you'll lose som earing capabilities along the years.

If you dont have access to a power bandsaw or drop saw you can cut 45 degree mitres using a grinder & metal cutting blade, or if you are really keen use a hand hacksaw. Cut them all to length first, mark the 45 on one end & cut.
Thanx alot for the video. If you get time or an opportunity to do it again please include how you measure and cut the 45 degree miters. I have searched alot on youtube (Im not the best computer wiz) but I cant find a detailed video showing where to cut so that I dont have unequal lengths. If you have a video like that and its not a hassle then I would really appreciate it if you can provide me with it. Thanx for this video.
I'm just starting to weld. I just did my cut and in the process bought 2 different chop saws. the first chop saw i bought was a cheep one from harbor freight. the metal kept moving on me when doing miters. i went and bought a desalt for 199 and it worked perfectly. also it was easy to move back and forth. i didn't trust the 45 markings on the chop saw so i used a 6-Inch Metal Combination Square to check that i had the blade at 45 and marked each tube at 45. i made 1 template for each length of tube i needed and marked all the rest of the tubes from those. fyi tubes come in 20' Length and not to wast metal you may need to different lengths from one tube. i had never used a chop saw before so that seemed a logical way for me to make lots of exact cuts quickly. today i set up my miller 211 auto and was watching this video to learn how to weld. I will tack my outside corners and check to see if they are square..
