Life on our homestead with three kids in tow.

Several years ago, I envisioned owning a piece of land so I could raise animals and drive a tractor. Well, we now have some land, two dogs, some chickens, and a tractor! It won't stop there though since our plans are to become more sustainable by growing as much food as we can for ourselves (and others).

I work full time and also run a few small businesses, so having a little homestead for me to "do what I want" has helped me keep my sanity. Being outdoors and doing work around the property is truly what brings me peace and joy, and I hope it someday (somehow) turns into my full time gig. My wife was initially reluctant to adopt this lifestyle, but has been fully supportive and is now on board with where we plan to take our homestead next. (whew!)
