good luck buddy. hurry up.
Thanks, will do!
Amazing video! What app are you using to display the flight route
ForeFlight
Sounds to me that ATP is just interested in the bottom line. I'd rather start small and "go where everybody knows your name". Any of you youngsters know where that quote came from???
✈️✈️
Lets Gooo! 👨🏻✈️
Does going to ATP make you more competitive and desirable to the airlines versus if you just do it at your local flight school?
Not really. Most jobs only care about what hours / certificates you have and not where you got it from
@@luisr8_ Gotcha, thanks!
Not everyone can be a good CFI even if they have the ratings. As a student I wanted someone with years of experience to be my instructor and that's the way I went.
Very well said
And global pilot academy is housing something you have to pay for out of pocket or can loans cover it then pay it back later?
Both, they accept loans and out of pocket payments. They are also partnered with Meritize
Thank you for breaking the process of aviation down. I don’t plan on being a pilot but I enjoy the description of your learning process. Best of luck and keep the videos coming ✈️✈️
Thank you for watching!
I did my ATP certificate training with ATP Inc back in 2021. At the time I had been a pilot since 1981 and CFI since 1993. I was impressed by the instructors ATP employed but not so much with employees in administration or the equipment’s condition. I wrote ATP corporate about what I encountered but never heard anything back.
Yea it’s unfortunate but the corporate side of things and how they treat/view their customers is upsetting. It’s their way or the highway
Love it bro ✈️✈️✈️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 I'm in instrument as well! Ty for the video 📷
Of course! Goodluck with your studying
Thanks family..
Of course!
Hey bbe i am looking at ATPL long diastance learning .. Thank you for sharing 🙂
In ATP right now. It's not drinking from a firehose, it's more like drinking straight from a fire hydrant. Information dump from the get go. It is manageable if you dedicate enough time and effort. Study the material, watch videos, and ask questions. All of the instructors I've talked to have been very helpful, and all are willing to answer any questions that come up. I do believe that ground school should be a daily thing, not when time is fit. Also, if you can get study groups in with the people that's in the same "section", that helps too. The first 2-3 weeks was a HUGE learning curve, now I'm landing the plane, got the checklists situated, and the comms have come 98-% full circle.
What about the filter ?
ATP is designed around a fast track AND what training will be like at airlines. Cost? Irrelevant, it’s about ROI. If it’s get you to airlines 1 month earlier that’s potentially hundreds of thousands in additional earnings. They are not flexible, true, but neither is an airline training schedule for the most part. My son in law started ATP in January of 2020 with zero hours. He just started his second year with SWA. He did not CFI at ATP as there were no positions coming out of Covid. Good luck to you and did like your breakdown
Thank you! I appreciate the feedback
This is so informational! Thank you!
Of course! Glad it was helpful
On my 2009 sh-awd it seemed to drink closer to 3.8 quarts to be in range. Otherwise this helped me a lot thanks so much!
Glad it helped !
I did their school in the PNW just before Covid, I finished up IFR, but I got out due to COVID and weather but still left with all the dept.
Hello, please the Jeppeson website. Thank you!
Youre at week 6 with 30 hrs. Thats a slow route.. itll take 7 months to get a ppl. Not everyone is built for atp. Its a fast pipeline. A person that doesnt learn as fast or really wants more specialized help and instruction whether air or ground is going to struggle. Theyre trying to push you ahead to get certs once you got the hours for the checkrides.. what some ppl consider them not caring about you is what I consider their selling point.
People who saw a cessna 172 landing
Would you recommend your school in Tampa, if yes let me know the name. If you’ve got a better school in Tampa, get me with their name. I love the journey vlogs, thank you
Some I’d recommend include Tampa Bay Aviation, Superior Aviation Gateway, & Global Pilot Academy
@@luisr8_ stud, I was wondering if you could work your network on getting a “recommendation” for an A&P school, I am willing to relocate for an A&P school, Which of the PPL schools would you choose if you were gonna school for PPL again? Thank you.
so why no vids in 3 months?
Soooo many delays. Just dropped an update and got another one coming soon though
May I ask how did you finance your flight training? Is it with student loans?
Yes indeed
This the reason why I always tell people to get their Private first before committing to a pro flight school. ATP is the last place you should be going unless you mentally expect to be at the airlines as fast as possible.
Agreed!
LESS FUCKEN GOOOOOOO!
So Cool 😎 😎😎😎😎
Awesome 😎😎😎😎😎😎
ATP is absolute garbage!! Total waste of $$$$$ and time... ATP and flight school in general is the worst decision I have ever made!! They conveniently forgot to mention that they have like a 90% drop out rate. All this after they get THOUSANDS of dollars out of you! FUCK ATP AND FUUUUUCK DUMBASS FLIGHT SCHOOL!!
Overpriced pilot mill.
100%
Love the videos man, any tips for nerves on a checkride? I have mine coming up soon and I’m freaking out lol 😂
I was so nervous for mine . For me the hardest part was calming my nerves and being so in my head. Focus on flying and trust your training! Also you can always discontinue and pick it up on another day
Nice man! I actually just passed mine yesterday!
Was thinking of leaving my day job and joining ATP, what recommendations do you have now, looking back at it?
Be fully committed. Put aside 10 months to get it all done. If you have any doubt or something holding you back then it won’t work. Also do research other local schools that offer zero to hero programs. I’ve found one for half the price of ATP and I love it. Definitely tour different schools
I got to ride in one, it was an awesome experience. Great video!! New sub!!
The turbine engines are such a beast! I’m jealous
@@luisr8_ Much better than piston R44
Congrats man! I've got 11 hours right now myself
Thank you brotha! Keep it going and get er done
@@luisr8_👊
What is the name of the school you attend in Tampa?
Global pilot academy
What training school are you currently attending now in Tampa?
Global pilot academy
Congratulations!!!!
Thank you!!
I am no expert, but going from zero to full-time, paid, professional pilot sounds a little too good to be true...
Some people are capable of it but it’s not very attainable unless everything falls perfect. More often than not I have heard people not being able to attain the dream they “sell” you
Once training is done and you have certs needed, you still need to fly to get hours! Experience. Most do this by CFI, or others flying jobs to build time
I pay $172 wet but that's with high fuel costs. $150 otherwise. $68 for dual. Glad to see this price is "normal"
Yes! But then I talk to an older pilot that says they got their entire private for $850 😭
As a training pilot, this is on my bucket list but too scared, after watching this video now I have to do it. This is awesome.
Find a company with great reviews! The best tip I can tell you is don’t even think about it. Just be excited
I dodged a bullet going to ATP. I was supposed to start March of 2020 but with the uncertainty of the time, I cancelled my class date. A year passed and I found a wonderful mom and pop flight school and was able to get all my ratings for significantly less money, while making tons of friends and actually feeling like I was part of a family. Now I’m a First Officer at a regional airline and loving it. I will always advocate for the smaller flight schools.
What school did you select
That’s awesome brother! Thank you for this.
Hey congrats bro. What school did you pick?
Part 61 can also be full time. Both options have their pros and cons.
Agreed!
What’s the name of the company that accepted you?
Meritize
If you'd have stayed with ATP you'd probably be done by now~! lol I understand why you left tho
With a lot more debt too... $6000+
I think about this all the time lol but honestly I’m a lot happier this way
No way I’d go through ATP, if I didn’t already have PPL and hundreds of hours. It’s a self-licking ice cream cone, soup to nuts.
What's that whole top piece of the grille called? Do you know the part number for it. I have the grille itself but not that part to the top of it that can seperate
I have no idea to be honest. There is a Facebook group “4th gen TL” and they have a lot of info there
How bout a coolant drain and fill per Acura’s manuel so it’s the correct way as well lol great vid, thanks!
I’ll get one of those in! Thanks for the suggestion
