I love calving "season"❤ Your posting it on RUclips is wonderful. I get to sit here, watch, no responsibility, no skin in the game...what's not to like, enjoy, appreciate. Live made Easy...Thank you!
Awe the colorful calf is so darn cute❤ Love the videos look for them everday!
Never a dull moment at Twin Elm Farms. Lots of cute little calves running around. I really enjoy your videos.
Everything you guys do with your cows and calves looks great to me, I agree cant hurt to help the cow out if your able to.
Best not turn your back on them cows some of them a pretty motherly one will get you one of these days they are not terribly just good mothers so you have to keep alert ! We a had afew until calf got alittle older would come after you got rid of them cows like you got got to be alert never turn your back just saying ?
Maybe try using a bull with lower birth weights. Especially with heifers.
Would it make sense going to an older pay loader to keep the hours of your expensive tractor.
When we had dairy cows we did a bit of the same thing they could have left go but we helped
They're all awesome, great day for you guys.
It was 77 here in Gilt Edge Tennessee today
Oh my, that's a little different then here
-30 here this morning as well. Perfect day to stay indoor with a fire. Thank you for all you do. Great looking calves.
The colourful calf reminds me of my favourite - baby kowalski
Good morning from Idaho USA. ❄️ and cold weather here too
-33 thats really cold keep saving those babies
Love the colorful calf @ 4:10. Is it a Simmental or a Simmental cross with Shorthorn or other?
Shorthorn cross simmental
@@TwinElmFarms Thank you so much!
Kendall, I think that you’re doing a fantastic job helping the cows
Don't listen to the internet experts. Most have never touched livestock. You know your animals.
I just love all the cows especially the babies, but that colorful one is awesome that’s my favorite.. ❤❤❤😊😊😊
NAW, U DO NOT PULL A LOT OF CALVES! If they are alive and well? U pulled just right! 💜💙
-41 this morning, lots of guys going outside to things that won’t start I’m sure up here.
Thankfully everything started this morning.
Practicing good husbandry with all your livestock makes you a conscientious farmer and it will show in how your cattle will look and act around anyone! Having a caring heart allows you to practice your faith even at work!
Nice videos guys. What is the meaning of Twin Elms Farm?
Back when my parents bought this farm yard in 1975, there were 2 large elm trees at the end of the lane that went over the drive way.... these trees died 20 years ago.
Kendall you do exactly what you been doing, you know your cows don’t worry about what people say. You doing a great job! I truly love watching your cow videos
That colorful calf is so cute. Thank you for sharing this with us.
I don’t think you are going in too soon but then I am not a farmer. I have watched many different videos where they give more assistance. I also think that the last cow was MAD. You did very well not to get injured or have the calf die because she was bashing it against the bars
kicking the animals is not good
Great video like seeing the new calf's the white one Charolais or just shorthorn influence
At this point we don't have any charolias... the white ones are shorthorn. I've thought of introducing charolias but right now we have liked our shorthorn crossed with full blood/ simmental
Love the Videos Omgosh that cow had u guys moving quick lol Awe the calves are so darn cute I love the colored calves their so cool looking
You guys made me smile with the weight game. Had a premee that only weighed 36 pounds at birth but she was a fighter. She was a smaller cow but she threw really nice calves and was good mother. Don’t tell anyone but we do have favorites and she was one of mine 😊.
Those premee calves have to be fighters if they want to have any hope. We always have favorites...
Can pick up a sled at level welding in vita that calves feet hook into so won’t fall out of sled. Can also use telescopic leg hook from same supplier to safely grab calves from meaner cows. We also pull the sled with the quad. Less of a work out.
Thanks, we have been saying we should get one of those sleds and a leg hook. Wasn't sure from where... now I know.
Good catch on saving that calf. Well done. Another busy day for you guys. Thanks for the video.
I’m new to the cattle industry and breed mostly simmital and shorthorn cattle and I was just wondering what bulls you are AI breeding these cows too
Shorthorn- Primo bull Simmental- blue chip
They are all looking great
Nice video & beautiful calf , u save that little one his life , I know that he was in good hands 🫢👍
That is excitement. Well done on saving that 22:37 calf. Nice to see you put calf first. Those are tough situation but you handled it great.
Little excitement for a change huh!
Great team work getting the bag off Fern's calf's nose and delivering it. If they could only understand that you're only there to help. These cows and heifers are sure making this calving season interesting. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Thanks for putting that calf first…. Video can wait. Whew!
Good job. I would consider that cow a great mother. She went right to work after you got it out.
You did very well with the wild cow in the shed. Great work guys.
Looking at hay is like when my grandchildren show me the ceiling and floors 😂😂😂😂😂
Your hockey makes your speed calving in pens fun. We have found over the years that the placenta is tougher and thicker in cold weather.
Yep, sometimes I think bigger calves help break the bag so it doesn't get caught around the nose.
You guys work so hard and team work pays off ……The mom that the calf was hanging out….Caption….STOP MOM I JUST WANT TO GET OUT!!!!! You guys are awesome!!!!Great looking calves!!!!!❤❤❤❤
White cow won't get the bennifit of the warm sun
Great save ,well done
I love the calving season videos at Twin Elm Farms. It's great to see Dylan getting so actively involved in the cow/calf end of the operation. He seems to have a natural genuine interest in caring for them and the calm demeanor necessary to handle the stress of the difficult situations that arise. Kendal, you are a very good mentor to the next generation in your family.
I do too..They do such a great job and their calves show it!!
Nice looking calves
They're the best at this place!
Fern sure gave you a time. Great team work inside and for the one outside thanks for sharing
Good video,if you don’t mind me asking what kind of camera do you use in the barn and outside. Thanks
I bought the camera system through Allen Leigh. I've switched to another guy to help service, he comes out and I very better service from him, Cypress technology service.
Great video , sitting on my couch, I’m working hard too 😂😂😂
Great save on that calf in the outside pen! And Fern gave you the run around.
