I just pulled this one out from storage and couldn't wait even until September - so it's lit now! OMG so beautifully scrumptious!

Re-sellers are a product of consumerism FOMO, but they also catalyze and exacerbate it. By making it their job, they can show up at opening when many people are working, and snap up the most desirable items that would sell, just over a slower period of time. They may provide a service, but only to wealthier folks who can afford to pay the mark up. This plays into capitalism, reducing access for less financially resourced folks. I agree that the simple personal solution is to dismiss FOMO and embrace making and non-consumer aspects of Halloween. But it is a frustrating reminder of our out-of-control capitalist/corporate greed world that you access less as a poor and less resourced person. And holidays are a time when people like to escape mundane worries. I keep a budget, enjoy the browsing without feeling the pressure to buy anything. Then I evaluate what is likely to be with me in five or ten years time. I prioritize quality of build over trends and select with a personal aesthetic (traditional black and orange in mind). I also prioritize small businesses, who tend to make better quality items. Ultimately, it sucks, but it's also not what Halloween is about. Let's not allow the holiday to become yet another Christmas.

There is a national park near where I live, considered to be the most southern tip of my country. It's located on a beach. So many people kept taking pebbles at the most southern tip that they changed the shape of the beach. The resellers remind me of that. I think the combination of the Code Orange Mania and the Resellers have encouraged retailers to push their halloween items out earlier and that's kind of gross to me. (Some places are putting out Christmas things already. Arguably worse!) While I don't go nuts for decor, I love watching the walk-throughs and seeing if there's anything I like. And let me tell you- the disappointment when I finally want something, and it's gone, is real. A new Michael's opened up near my work place, and they have the halloween items out. It was half sold by the time I got to see it with my own two eyes LOL! DIY is always a GREAT option. I DIY'd some witchy decor inspired by witchy garden themed items that came out last year. (look up moon wreath, and mushroom wreath, or witchy diy in general. I made a mossy, mushroomy moon wreath and I get a lot of compliments on it!)

Is Spirits Call comparable to South of Sanity 's halloween bonfire -strong smokey smell?

So I contacted Kringle on the spellbound collection for people worried about the alternate forces of the wax and they said that everything is entertainment and the spells are not real but made up. There ya go

My Carnage arrived and it has almost no scent. What little, and I do mean little, scent is powder and grass very faintly. It is nothing at all like you and others have talked about. I am so disappointed. I contacted Kringle but so far no one has gotten back to me.

Hey Haven I got my Kringle order today! I bought Witches Cauldron and Haunted Hollows and they smell exactly how you described them. I haven't lit them yet I'll do that in late September but they smell amazing. I purchased 2 more last night Sleepy Hollow and Cemetary Lane so I can't wait until I get those. Ok so my TjMaxx, was absolutely loaded. I planned to go back the next week as I was running a quick errand. It was nearly wiped clean of all the cool stuff! I couldn’t believe it as that was never the case in the past. Just a few short years ago you could shop for Halloween well into October, but definitely all of September. I am one that absolutely will not buy them at inflated prices. I’m not trying to encourage that in anyway. I enjoy going out, being mesmerized by everything and buying what speaks to me, not this rat race that it has become. Now that everything is going viral people watch what’s in high demand and go out and buy all they can to resell it. It’ll end up driving the costs up in stores as corporations watch what people are willing to pay and are always looking to increase their profit margin. We’ll all end paying up for this in the end. Just look at BBW’s price increases on their Halloween accessories this year. This is just the beginning.

As someone who dabbles as well, I'm very impressed with Kringle's boldness. I wish these were a year-round candle line.

This was silly. Reselling is part of capitalism. Resellers are doing it to make money, probably to cover living expenses with the incremental profit. Or just to make money for anything. As long as the merchandise wasn't stolen, it's ok with me.

So, my experience almost without fail has been that ANY candle containing crystals/gems/rocks of any sort do not perform well at all. No correlation to the actual content of said pieces, but it always goes that they smell nice on cold, but have zero throw. I'm hoping that is not the case with these. 2nd - I have to wonder if, at this price point, we're actually getting real crystals or manufactured plastic pieces?

Great reviews!! I LOVEEEE HALLOWEEN! I’m thinking of taking a trip to the flagship store. It’s about an hour and a half from me and a beautiful ride.

I was surprised to notice yesterday how Nevermore was the 1st and only one to sell out. It is actually one of my all-time favorites from their Halloween line. Either way, I chose to hold off on ordering any this year.

The ombre jars are beautiful and Ghost Spirits and Cute Black Cat on Pumpkin sound interesting. Spirit's Call, Guardian's Vigil and Fortune's Beacon all sound great to me notewise but I won't be supporting those or bringing them into my home. Absolutely NO judgment, but that's my spiritual discernment with the Holy Spirit concerning my space. All Love to everyone. Interesting note also is that 6 new Black Vessel Halloween releases, 6 Artist Series releases and 6 Spellbound releases, 666 for the new releases, you see where I'm going there. Personally, not thrilled with it, not sure if that's tongue-in-cheek or serious, that's irrelevant honestly, but it is what it is and as meticulous and attention to detail that Kringle are, have to think it's not happenstance. Kringle is always pushing boundaries and that is one of many reasons, I've been a fan and continue to be. They're a fantastic company, amazing customer service, really do adore them. The Spellbound drop just isn't for me and the Artist drop is super floral which isn't my thing. Definitely jazzed up for all the floral fans out there and can't wait to hear your post-burn reviews on the Spellbound line. Oh, and yes, AMAZING vessels and label style on those! 🖤👻

Ooh I have a question. Which do you like better for an incense candle, Coven or Guardian’s Vigil and why?

If you sell over $600 a year you have to pay taxes on this stuff. Keep in mind also some people can’t get out and shop.

I said all 6 spells yesterday so if I win the lottery, suddenly get the urge to finally put away the laundry, get calls from my exes, dodge something horrible, have suitors pursue me and get contacted by the dead, then we know these spells are legit

Ok it sounds like I may need the incense-y one too! I also love that Kringle did not hold back on these jars. Personally, I like the spell jars far far better than the country jars with colored wax. I also like the ombré jars and labels better than the first release. I would have also loved Dreadful Dolly had it been a dreadful scent.

My honest thoughts are I absolutely love the ombré jars and the vintage labels. I’m stunned by their beauty. With that said, the scent notes don’t speak to me. I was expecting some witchy scents and some spooky Halloween blends. Spirit’s Call is the only one that speaks to me based on the scent description. I have no issue with the spell jars. I mean, it’s a Halloween line and Kringle is known for its non-cutesy Halloween line. I don’t want Bbw or Goosecreek Scooby Doo, so Kringle is always my go to for traditional spooky labels and blends.

Amazing video and great introduction to the Spellbound collection. The Halloween launch last Thursday was my first exposure to Kringle candles. Your work and insights were very helpful to me during the launch. I’m excited for this new launch and hope I can get a few of these candles. The witches fingers were a nice touch! Supposedly you can sniff coffee beans in between scents and it helps "clear the palate" so to speak. Get that metal our, ghouls!
