Hello Solartiger great video thanks for the information I have a enquiry is it you cpu processor that gives you a bigger hash rate I see on your video it says 7k on the top left just wondering what I would have to invest in to make my hash rate bigger number can you help please …? I don’t know much about computers thanks Solartiger
Hi, thanks for the interest, you can increase the hash rate by using a computer with a faster cpu (ghz), with more cores (eg a 8 core cpu is faster than a 4 core cpu) etc. Also close all unnecsary windows and also try restarting the computer before launching crypto tab browser. You can also buy paid boosts to increase your hash rate. I advise you NOT to do this, as some people say this Cryptotab browser is a scam and have lost money. You will NOT make any profit with this, this is more a bit of fun, hobby, have a go sort of a learning thing. Try to run this on a low power computer to reduce your electricity costs, a good type of pc would be a "mini pc". I have used converted Chromeboxes, they have low power consumption about 30W and have i7 8th gen cpus with 4 cores and work well for this. DO NOT invest a lot of money in this, ie spend a lot on a new computer just for this. I know i used DO NOT a lot in this, but I hope this helps. Do check out other videos I have done on this. Thanks Solartiger
@The_Solartiger thank you for answering my question and thanks for the advice
Great st. Thank you 👍
Man, at first hearing the speeds, make this thing seem useless to me. But then I realized, you guys probably aren’t taking nearly as far as we probably would need to in the United States. They’re becoming pretty popular in my area. I see people using them to go get groceries from their apartment pretty often in the warmer months. In that route alone, we’re talking 2 to 3 miles depending on which store they go to. If the stereotypes in Europe are to be believed, you guys have everything in like a six block radius, so I guess 6 km an hour without peddling isn’t so bad.
@@coryulrich6489 Hi, just to clarify, this e-bike can do about 20mph, if some adjustments are made through some of the menus on the display unit. You can ride at full speed using just the throttle or by peddling depending on the laws in your country, again set through menus on the display unit. Information on how to use these menus are available online but are not in the user manual. I guess these settings are used to make the bike legal in different countries. Bikes for US market have a 750 watt motor, here in UK we are only allowed a 250 watt motor and throttle only is limited to 6km/hr. I used my bike to commute to work daily ( a round trip of 15 miles) for well over a year. I used to live in a village 7 1/2 miles away from the town where I worked, I don’t have a driving licence and public transport was unreliable or did not run at a time I needed eg Sundays and public holidays. I have since moved to the town to be nearer to facilities. So just to be clear not everyone has facilities just down the road. Hope this clears things up.

Hi, Thanks for your interest in my video/ channel. I am still very new at this, I only have a Pound (£) or two in my wallet, so have not any experience in sending payments. I am guessing you want to send funds from your wallet to Binance which i think is an exchange? I would think they would have a help section on their website which could help you to do this. Sorry I can't help you more (I am still learning too). I would also say that revealing the phrase to your wallet is not a good idea (security risk) if someone found your wallet address they could take all your earnings. Solartiger

hi , why not try solo btc mining ? 😊
@@wunwun7520 hi, the chance of me finding a bitcoin block with 4Th/s is virtually zero so I mine to Braiins pool, I mine abound 12 UK pence a day. I ignore electricity costs ( about 20p per kilowatt hour in UK) as this is just for a hobby. I will NOT make any profit unless the price of bitcoin goes crazy. With solo mining you only get a payout IF you find a block. I think a regular daily income no matter how small is better than virtually zero chance of hitting it big. That’s just my opinion, yours may be different. Thanks for the interest. Solartiger
@@The_Solartiger i just saw many btc miner change their mind , go in solo , i was set my old s9 using single hash board , down clock to 200mhz & power 8v , got 1,45th / min , only 89-90watt and goin solo too 😅, just for fun & trying luck
@@The_Solartiger Do you mine other coin ? like verus or something profitable ? , please share 🙏
@@wunwun7520 I have also mined monero (XMR) a cpu coin in the past. What decides if you make any profit is the price you pay for electricity and your equipment. Electricity prices in the uk are high (approx 20p per Kwhr) so you spend more on power than what your miner mines. You would be better off simply buying your chosen coin rather than mining it and hope it goes up in value in the future. I am mining as hobby/ educational purposes, I won’t make any profit unless something drastic happens and crypto prices go through the roof. I think trying to make money through mining is very difficult due the price of equipment, energy costs, rising difficulty and things like the bitcoin halving etc, hope this is helpful. How many battery out puts does it have... and how many batteries can it charge? I am thinking of getting one of these but not sure If I can charge 2 batteries with it? Thank you.
@@onlylexus Hi, it has one output. You can charge several batteries by connecting them in parallel. I had one in my shed with FOUR batteries in parallel. No issue connecting several lead acid batteries in parallel. I now use lithium iron phosphate batteries, I have two connected in parallel. With lithium batteries read the manufactures instructions regarding parallel connections, some can some cannot and some have limits ie 2 or 4 are common limits. When you say can it charge 2 batteries, did you mean 2 batteries connected together or 2 separate batteries like in a camper van eg starter battery and leisure battery in that case you need a 2 output or “dual battery “ controller. Hope this helps. Solartiger
@@The_Solartiger Very kind of you to reply so quickly. Presently I am using a very expensive "PV Logic 15 amp controller" in my motorhome, it has Bluetooth. The controller is connected to a 120 watt solar panel. But this particular controller has 2 battery out-puts. So output No1 goes to the comfort battery and output No2 I have connected to the engine battery, so it charges that very well, especially when I am not driving the motorhome. The 2 battery outputs on the controller are separate and do not interfere with one another, so as I say they charge the two batteries. However, now I want to introduce a 2nd solar panel, (a 120 watt one, same as first) But of course the 15amp controller (which has the handy 2 outputs) is not now strong enough to cope with 2 solar panels. This is where I am thinking of buying the one you show on your video here as its 20 amp and that will cope with my 2 panels. Thing is though your controller does not have 2 bat outputs, however I still want to charge my engine battery from solar as I have done for months which saves me from starting up the engine every 3 days to charge the vehicle battery from the alternator, saves fuel also. How can this be done if a buy your controller, If I connect it to the engine battery there may be some kind of interference back to the comfort battery I think, a sort of feed back, or am I wrong? At the moment my set up works perfectly but living in Scotland I need one more Solar panel for the darker days ahead and to give me quicker charging, especially after using microwave through an inverter. Hope you understand what I am trying to do. I Just still want to charge vehicle battery from solar as I have done in past, but now need a different controller to cope with extra solar panel.
Hi, a quick Google shows your controller only supports max 225w of panels, your options seem to be to use 2x 100w panels in parallel (cheapest but only gives 200w charging) or upgrade your controller. Dual battery mppt controllers are harder to find, I guess you could go with 2 separate controllers 1 for each battery, if you do this I would recommend Victron smart solar controllers which have Bluetooth built in and 5yr warranty. Hope this helps. I am located in the midlands uk. Thanks solartiger
@@The_Solartiger Thank you.
@@The_Solartiger So sorry to get back to you again, but you seem to be more knowledgeable than me on this subject. On closer inspection the existing solar panel is NOT 120 watt, (as I said) but its only a 100 watt panel... so if I add the new 120 watt panel that makes a total of 220 watts. You said, (after checking on my particular Controller) that it can cope with a maximum of 225 watts, that allows 5 watts if I use it. do you think I can go ahead with that? Or, do I need a threshold of allowance? However, my controller is very smart and it has some kind of restrictor built in to reduce charge should it sense a high peak, but I may be wrong about that. What do you think now my friend~? Should I go ahead with the 220 watts into the 15 amp controller I have? hmmm?
OMG it's so painful watching this. 30 minutes of incorrect info. Do not listen to anything he said. You've been warned.
You should actually learn something about batteries before making videos on the subject. A lithium iron phosphate( lifepo4 or LFP for short) battery is a lithium ion battery. Lithium ion is a battery type, but that tells you nothing about the battery chemistry, of which there are several commonly used. Lithium ion IS NOT a specific battery chemistry. That BlueFusion battery, although labeled "lithium-ion" is no doubt LFP as well. In fact, I would say it's LFP with absolute certainty. Seriously, spend a bit of time on research because you really are ignorant.
How can you be certain? Would Blue Fusion not state that it is LiFePo for marketing reasons, if it was in fact an Lithium Iron Phosphate battery? can you provide any back up for your statement? Manufacturer specs maybe?
What’s the TL;DW here?
Nice descriptions, including weights, thanks, great job.
Thanks for your interest and comment, I won't be doing any more videos shortly as we are about to move house, but don't worry more videos will come in the future.
Theres 2 black wires because it doesn't matter which way the wires go. It doesn't really need internal fuses the BMS will cut power if it ever gets shorted. Looks fairly well made to me. Although yes defo not 25ah but even so for £7 you got a total bargain
I have ordered another charger (a better quality one). I will try to test the capacity in the future and report back my results. Thanks for your comment.
LiPo is better. 4.2v versus 3.3v for better energy density and current delivery. Ive seen just as many fires from either chemistry.

Interesting... 👍 @15:30 ... If he had of turned the battery around, it would have solved his concerns about the terminals being the wrong way round. 😂🥲

It's okay, I was being sarcastic. I did however, enjoy your video very much! 👍@@The_Solartiger
Lithium ion phosphate i.m.o is king due to it being cheaper to produce, it's safer and has a higher cycle life.
Thanks for your comment. Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries have a higher voltage, so give better performance and yes their chemistry is more stable. Prices are also falling. Thanks for watching. Solartiger
LiFePO4 is a Lithium-Ion battery. The nominal voltage for LiFePO4 cells is 3.2V, whereas Ternary Lithium cells are 3.6V-3.8V depending on the chemistry. These are basics that you should know before making videos for RUclips.
Hi I know it's been quite a while since you posted this video but I stumbled upon it today whilst searching for information on operating these chargers direct from a 12v DC source (as I live on a boat with a 12v system), so this was a welcome find 😊. Can I ask, how did your charger hold up using a 12v source? And did you ever check to see exactly what voltage you were getting from your car adaptor? I'm concerned about potentially frying the charger if the supply exceeds 12v exactly! 😮 Thanks Richard
Hi, Thanks for your comment. I did not test the output of the car adapter. I have another "12V battery charger" that I use all the time, (can charge 10 batteries at a time, shown in another video) that came with a 12v wall adapter. With that one I use, a straight cable with a cigerette lighter plug on one end and the correct dc jack on the other, and plug it right in. Full battery bank voltage with no regulation, have used it frequently over the years with no issues. My battery bank would go over 14V when being charged either by solar or mains charger, I was using AGM Deep Cycle batteries which need higher charging voltage. I use my "12V" devices whilst charging, and everything works just fine. I am testing some batteries with it right now and the 12V input measures 13.3V and working just fine. Do you have solar panels on your boat?, if so why not watch some of my other videos, as solar power is another of my hobbies. Thanks for your interest, Ps I now use Lithium batteries for my battery bank, I have videos on that too. Solartiger
Happy New Year!!!
Happy New Year! to all my viewers in 2024. Solartiger
This is awesome!! Starting small must be the very best advice. If every person with a phone took it off-grid with an awesome and cheap system like this, can you imagine the change. Thank you for taking the time to show your system, I also started like this and built it up to what it is today, just feel you learn more by starting small and knowing how everything works first & what your real needs are in your house.
Thanks for your comment, once you start this hobby , it gets addictive! I started with a 10w solar panel and one battery and it grew from there. You learn what works and what doesn't, and that cheap chinese equipment is ok but has limitations and quirks, now I use Victron equipment. It has a 5yr warranty, is good quality, can be customised to your needs and just works. Yes it is expensive, but I look for good deals on Ebay. Sunshine is a bit short at the moment as its winter in the UK, however when the winter sun comes out, I get some charging. In my location the winter sun rises and sets in a different place compared to the summer, and my panels are orientated for the summer. So charging performance is not optimal. My panels are on my shed roof , so they can't be re oriented to face the winter sun, which is not guaranteed in the UK (Usually rainy and gloomy) the sun is very low in the sky and is very weak. Usually in UK Autumn and Winter there is little sun and lots of rain and endless clouds, so I have to use the mains charger a lot, hence I bought the Victron ones that you saw in my other videos. Anyway thanks for your interest in my channels. More videos to come this year. Solartiger
Very true. I started small but slightly bigger than this with a 40 watt panel and a 1000 watt Xantrex inverter. Now i have 1000 watts of solar and it powers half of my daily electricity needs. Solar is addictive for real, but that's a good addiction. Greetings from Jamaica.

Thanks for watching my videos and following my channel, yes I started small and simple and things have progressed over the years. glad we have similar interests. You could do with some larger solar panels. Really cool set up. Ever thought of going up to 24v to reduce losses over the long cable runs to the garden ?
I can't fit bigger panels on the shed roof, especially on the side that faces south. The panels are wired in series (about 60V) as I am using a Victron MPPT solar charge controller, this reduces losses in the cable from the solar panels. Solartiger
Fair enough. Ok perhaps I should have watched more of your previous videos. Missed the odd one or two. Good work with the victron connect and linking everything up. Have been thinking of doing something similar myself

What battery setting for a lead acid battery sealed many thanks
The settings I have are; Absorbtion 14.7V and Float 13.8V, but my batteries are Sealed AGM. Most charge controllers auto detect the battery voltage on first start up, (you must connect the battery first BEFORE the solar panels). You should base your settings on what is printed on the battery itself. Settings vary on battery type and manufacturer. Also if you discharge your battery regularly (everyday) use the values for CYCLIC charging, if it's for standby use (eg some kind of backup), use the values for STANDBY. The cyclic values will be HIGHER than the standby ones. Also do not exceed the stated charging current on the label, it might say "Initial current not to exceed X amps" or "eg 0.3CA (where C is the capacity of the battery in Amp Hours (AH) so 0.3CA for 100Ah battery would be 30A. Also switch off the setting for equalisation, this is only used for flooded type batteries.Where possible connect your loads via the load output (if your controller has a load terminal) and enable the low voltage disconnect feature (LVD), this will cut off the load, if the battery voltage drops too low (will help to make your battery last longer), hope this is helpful. Solartiger.

Hi Roland, could you please do a video explaining pairing solar panels because I have 3 x 120w in series that produces 9 amps on a 24v system but if I add another 2 x 120w in parallel to the existing series the ampage goes down to 7amps and I don't know why. Also the 2 in parallel are to keep the dc voltage down to below the maximum of 100 volts DC.
Hi, yes I could do that. The issue you are having is that if you have 3 panels in series, you can not add 2 panels in parallel. The voltage of each string of panels you connect in parallel MUST be the same. With the panels you have you could go 4 in series (about 80 ish volts, assuming these panels have an output voltage around 22v) or 2 in series and 2 in parallel. To use the 5th panel you would need another controller. What solar controller are you using? MPPT controllers work best with 1 string of high voltage panels. In my setup, I charge a 12v battery bank with a series string of 3 panels giving about 60v @ 6A, the controller will output about 16A into the batteries. Hope this helps you. I can do a video later in the week to explain this better if you want. Thanks solartiger.
nice video mate. my system is ok but a bit diffrent now . I have an all in 1 solar system now. Building a shed soon and want solar to that , do you want to sell your old charge controller at all buddy
I will be keeping it as a spare. Thanks
Thank you for the update. Especially for this video. I was flirting with 2 brands of mppt charge controllers. U made the choice very plain and simple for me. Your hobby in tinkering with solar setups in more than 1 way turned out to be blessing for me. Thank you solar tiger 🐯
Hi, I'm glad you find my videos helpful. Hope this helps others too. I try to do things without spending big heaps of money, this usually means spending lots of time on Ebay, and keeping an eye out for good deals. Thanks for watching. solartiger
i have an intel 6500 on an old HP office computer. should i try it with that one? also majority of peopIe i see use xmrig. would it be okay for me to just use the monero GUI to mine p2pool?
Hi, yes you can monero on your computer, but understand that if you are paying for your electricity you will probably not make any profit. You only do if for fun/ educational reasons or to help the network . This will not make you rich. I use xmrig for mining but you can use whatever works for you. If you do give it a go, why not make a video about it. I see lots of videos of people who seem to be able to spend lots of money on equipment, but I want to see more people doing it on a low budget like me, I find this type of mining setup more interesting. Best of luck. Solartiger
@@The_Solartiger ill give it a try
