I’m glad my favorite card of all time, Shadowpriestess of Ohm, never got errata’d. Her effect, “Tribute 1 Dark monster on your side of the field to deal 800 damage to your opponent”, doesn’t even have a turn limiter. Despite her own lack of stats, she was crucial in my deck for burning away my opponent alongside cards like Dark Room of Nightmare and easy Dark monster fodder. I wonder how a deck like that would hold up today?

A correction the gods where released as prize cards at the first yugioh worlds , and as game promos before the legendary collection 1 and they where released before the playable ones existed, witch where jump promos in weekly jump cards initially and not very wide spread like today.

I remember when they banned the hell out of a five year old six samurai deck because it just happened to have access to a couple decent cards that shut down the more recent ones. The game would even be good if we weren't under capitalism

A lot of the problems with modern yugioh can be solved with limiting how many deck searches/draws/mills you can perform per turn. Basically, you're only allowed to touch your deck "x" number of times per turn. Because the core issue is the seemingly endless number of resources you can keep getting from your deck.

Special summons are no more special, traps are no more traps, your turn is no more yours, turns last a lifetime, the extra deck became the main deck while the main deck became pure support. Yu-Gi-Oh! just became a different game. 😢 I didn't think I would ever consider Yu-Gi-Oh a bad game but from a design perspective it really is now a bad game. A simple action limiter could bring it back to decent, but I'm pretty sure there's no way back at this point. Time for something new 🫡

U obviously either was a toddler or wasn't even born when Blue Eyes 3000 was considered massively high attack and the only card ppl could get their hands on that was stronger was Gate Guardian or by using equip cards like Axe of despair or other magic cards like limiter removal. So 4000 was definitely fit for a God back then

the weather guy hate swords of revealing light cause he's supposed to be a teru teru bozu, a sunny weather wishing doll. And swords are clearly raining so his hatred must be quenched. You can even see the doll version of him tied to the umbrella.

But what if i summon the fusion for the 2nd battle phase, enter it and use like Smiting storm for a Geri, do i get the 2nd battle phase and do i get the battlephase next turn

All Yugioh decks are best defined by on what turn they win the game. FTK: 1st turn OTK: 2nd turn Midrange: 3rd turn Control: 4th turn Stun: 5th turn Combo: all of the above are combo decks come on guys

in order for runick to gain a second battle phase, the wording for the effect would need to be: "gain an additional battle phase this turn" then one could argue that its separate and can be taken or skipped after battle phase 1 similar to an "also" clause since the wording for the cards is: "conduct your battle phase twice" it makes it more of an "then" clause since it works as an add-on to the normal battle phase as opposed to a different instance at least that's what makes sense to me

Are we not counting Mischief of the Time Goddess as a card that let's you do your battle phase twice?

I think it's the same battle phase but conducted twice So if you skip it, no battle phase

I'm guessing the runick interaction is - in order to enter the battle phase 2 you need to be in main phase 2, but skipping battle phase 1 automatically skips main phase 2 and puts you in the end phase
