As far as I am aware, these cards aren’t replacing anything. They’re an addition to the points you earn from purchases. They are a new collectable and a replacement for the washi tape and cover minders. 🙂

If cover minders are going to become a prize, does that mean they will stop putting them in their kits as a standard like they do now?
Hi Tony, the new kits don’t have cover minders, washi tape or tweezers.

lol that long cord is going to be in the way & it’s cumbersome. It’s extra nonsense that’s not needed m. What they need to do is make a proper pen. A pen that feels like a regular pen with metal tips but not the fat metal tips that are to wide to place dots. The size of the pen tips needs to be like the cheap ones the kits come with & the additional heads need to be thinner metal not so thick along the edges because those thick metal tips do not fit close for placing they leave a wide gap & you have to stop and realign fits every placement. There’s 1 pen that’s decent it’s made by DD and it’s in the home kit but there’s not additional heads unfortunately & the pen is t designed to last long.
I was going to ask who DD was then realised it’s probably Diamond Dotz but as far as I remember their pens are the standard plastic straws with the nylon and brass tip? This pen uses exactly the same tip, nylon with a brass insert and the tiny hole inside. So if the tip gets damaged it can easy be swapped out from any basic pen. Thanks for watching! ☺️

I've been asking for Smurfs for a while. I'm glad they made some. I bought the one with Gargamel, I just wish Azreal the cat was in it. I do hope they release more kits with them. I want a better Smurfette, not digging the image they used.

Thanks for the video! I have an Art Dot kit, the panda one. I haven’t done it yet though. They didn’t have a lot of different kits when I looked, but they are affordable.

Can you help me. I have a question if you have a bunch of the free plastic pens but have also bought some resin pens. Is it still worth keeping the free ones
If you find your resin pens more comfortable I don’t see any reason to keep the plastic pens but I would hang onto the tips if any of your resin pens use the same nylon/brass tip that you can swap out. Then you have spare tips just in case the brass tip gets damaged. 🙂 I hope this helps and thanks for watching! ☺️

Enjoy your sharing of diamond art tools. I like the new pen especially for the AB drills. I still use the old plastic straw. To eliminate the wax worm inside the pen, I removed the top and filled with super glue to block the hole. So far, no wax worm.

This diamond painting is on my wish lists
Thanks for the video Jim. I’ve got one of these tips in my favourites as unfortunately they are out of stock at the moment. However, I have managed to drill out a standard brass tip with a dremel and 1mm drill bit and fit it in one of the new pens. It works ok although tends to push out with the pressure from the putty until it settles down. Hopefully when I next order a painting the new tip will be back in stock, looks a good replacement 😊
Hi John, I know that people have been glueing the standard brass tips into the original plastic tip and they’ve been working but I prefer the idea of a solid stainless steel tip. It should last for a very, very long time. It also adds a little bit of extra weight to the pen, which I like. Thanks for watching! ☺️

I brought one myself, but the one I brought doesn't come with the rubber bands, what should I do about that?
Do the shafts of the tips have indented rings where the rubber bands should go? If not, they don’t need them. If the tip is loose, try wrapping masking tape or washi tape around the shaft so it gives a tight fit. If they have the indents, contact the company and ask them if there should have been rubber rings with the pen. 🙂
I am currently working on this one. It has been obe of my WIPS since March. It is really beautiful. I'm almost 1/2 way done. I started in the left hand bottom corner. I'm doing this piece for my husband who absolutley LOVES fly fishing. We are putting the finished piece above our bed after it is professionally framed. Thx for sharing!

@@DiamondPaintingJim Hi! I currently have 5 WIPS including FFL. I have participated in some events these past few months. I normally like to finish a canvas then start another. FFL is so confetti heavy that I was getting burn out so I started another round canvas to take a small break and then started the other WIPS along the way (participating in events) and here I am. My goal is to finish my exisiting 4 WIPS and work on my FFL in the meantime. Would love to get FFL done before Christmas. My husband & I have a 2 year old grandson and when he visits he gets all of our attention. Also I work full time. Hopefully though I can get it done before Christmas. It truly is a beautiful piece!
