It’s extraordinary how strong his voice is here. He shredded every song from this wonderful classic playlist. And some beyond rare gems - I Once Wrote Some Poems - holy cow! More than anything else I love this cause it’s the first and only time I’ve heard live performances of his that virtually mirror the studio versions which is a vast improvement over a lot of his live stuff - to me. This is Hammill treasure of the highest order. Thanks for posting!!! Hands down best live Hammill on You Tube.

Any guesses on what the venue was? For a crowd recording, this is pretty good quality. My introduction to VdGG was hearing "Killer" on University of Saskatchewan student FM radio, in 1972! Been a fan ever since.

На фоне кажущегося поначалу невразумительного, но всетаки шикарного вокала флейта звучит, вообще, изумительно и в созвучии мы ощущаем странную гармонию, не стандартную, но очень интересную тем, что это заставлчет слегка грустить и дает моральную силу и экспансию чего то мощного, внутреннего, то что делает мужчину мужественным и правдивым(!)... К толерартным это не относится!...!

Belle récréation. Toujours fantastique à entendre et même aujourd’hui même s’il n’a plus la même voix il y a toujours cette espèce de magie qui vient de cette voix et de cet homme extraordinaire. Je l’ai vu à plusieurs reprises seul ou avec Van Der Graaf. Il a une humilité surprenante et même une certaine timidité. Bravo Mr. Hammill!

Toronto got the complete set list. I was at the Montreal show and the electric piano broke down. Hammill was incensed and threw it towards the roadies, swearing. No Man-erg that night. And the sound was awful in that hockey rink. Great to hear this version.

Lasting memories of Weeley, ten of us in a rented transit from Huddersfield. Favourite memory: Barclay James Harvest after waiting an age for them to get set up, Marc Bolan being booed off stage with cries of "We want Hoople", Vinegar Joe and even Mungo Jerry. Every pub in the area told us to bugger off and a quick trip into the nearest seaside town to discover it was completely TeaTotal.

One month before i saw him opening for Genesis 2 nights in a row in Montreal! No piano though...My first concerts ...it was amazing ...That was maybe the best year live for Peter concerning the set list...TXS for uploading this amazing concert...I once wrote some poems is very different in the opening and this version is great
