Cooper/ Fulleon fire alarm system sounding
We’re the hochiki
optical on sounder beaceon base and sound bomb
Sounds good as usual
Can I Pull The Fire Alarm Hochiki
Great sounder-detectors! Though I'll sure miss those Fulleon/Tann Synchronome CFB6D24, B8D24 and FB bells.
nittan sounds the nicest starting up 100%
Its it in Newquay
Up
Can it come now?
I had a alarm go off the other day and then I scrolled onto this
YBO-BS*
Not that it matters now you’ve got the Nittan system, but pretty sure that is illegal as you can’t mix bells and sounders.
It isn’t illegal at all. The older Hochiki system had only the conventional bells .. then the use of the building changed and the room in question became a laundry room . British standards state that in noisy areas that it may be necessary to install additional Devices . I’m this instance the YBO-BSB2 was the only option
Plus if this was the case of it being illegal , then why do shopping centres have a mix of different sounders and voice evacuation ?
@@liamsams2182 to make you panic 😂
@@liamsams2182 touche though, thought I heard or read something about not being able to mix bells, sounders on continuous, or alternating / sweeping sounders together.
cause?
New install I’m guessing
It’s been live for a few months now . Just not really had the time to film it going off until recently . When either I’ve been on site during weekly testing or general activations
why was it sounding for so long aswell?
The reason why it was sounding for so long is that they have to check that any relays fitted to the fire alarm system perform as they should (automatic door closers , mag lock releases , lift recall ) as well as to make sure that the fire alarm is generally audible in all areas
@@liamsams2182 ah makes sense
sounds nice, is it only EV-PYS sounders in the building or do you have the nittan EV-AV2 and EV-HIOP sounders too?
There are only EV-PYS sounders fitted through the building. There’s a minimum of 60 fitted in the communal areas throughout the 3 floors . And there’s 81 flats and each one has at least 2 sounders.
Golly Gosh - Nittan sounds lovley - the sync tho 💀💀
better protocols dont sync
The mxpro panels don't output as much voltage as the nittan ones - so no more voltage for sync commands
@@XFP5777 reason is because the mxpro isnt designed to have 254 devices per loop, nittan is
Cool... fulleon bells
I hear integrated sounder bases
test or false activation?
I think on this occasion they were testing output groups on the flats . As the evacuation tone will only sound in the flats if there is a confirmed alarm in a flat . (1 detector for more than 4 minutes or 2 heads activating) . But no activation occurred in this flat
@@liamsams2182
Sounds good
We’re at
NITTAN 🎉🎉
sounds incredible, next time there is a test could we see it from the panel?
It does indeed sound incredible, you’d never think a fire alarm would be pleasing to the ear 😂 . It’s definitely much better than the old Hochiki system where they used the bells . Also, I will try and film a test from the panel so you can see it going into fire , but there is no set time on a Thursday afternoon when it happens . We just know it can be anytime between say 12 and 5 … but I’ll definitely try to nevertheless
what are they using the alert for?
The way the system works is , if a detector in a flat activates . The alert tone will sound in that flat only for around 4 minutes . This gives the occupant chance to deal with the situation to avoid it going to a full fire alarm. If after the 4 minutes the smoke has cleared , then the alarm silences itself and resets . If however , after those 4 minutes , smoke continues to be present … or during the 4 minutes a second detector in the same flat activates , then the evacuation tone will sound … but still in the affected flat only . This is not automatically silenceable, and the fire service will attend and deal with the alarm . The reason the full alarm will not sound site wide is to support the stay safe / stay put policy . If the building is to be evacuated then the fire service can activate the necessary alarm sounders . In terms of communal detection and call points , they have no delay on them at all and will alert the fire service straight away … but these will still sound in the communal areas only.
@@liamsams2182 ah, does it use advanced alarmcalm or a set delay on the panel?
@@thelittledesigner4417 it uses a verification delay on the panel . The alert tone in the affected flat will sound for 4 minutes , and that gives the occupant the chance to deal with the alarm and clear the smoke . If the smoke is still there after the 4 minutes or a second detector activates during that time … the alarm will change from the alert tone to the evacuate tone . This will still only sound in the affected flat . However, it will cause a full fire condition on the panel .. and will send an alert to the monitoring centre who will dispatch the fire service. Communal devices do not have any delays on them , but will sound the evacuation tone straight away in the communal areas only . There are 81 flats in the building and do not want to evacuate the entire property unless absolutely necessary . There is a KAC key switch next to the panel which will sound all sounders if it’s needed to evacuate
i think you have done it so many times. And I think you have the code ngl
We'll do it all, Everything, On our own.
This what my school had this fire alarm and at my athletics training place
its getting there, film the weekly when it happenes
With the new Nittan system , it operates in a completely different way as opposed to the old Hochiki system . The new system has been designed to operate within the buildings “stay put” guidance … if a detector in an individual flat activates , it will sound in that flat only … if it continues to alarm after a set time … or if a second detector in that same flat activates … then the whole building will alarm . If , however a call point is activated or a detector in the communal areas activate … then only the sounders in communal areas will sound . But this will be an instant alarm in all communal areas .. Weekly testing usually happens on a Thursday afternoon , but with no set time . I will try and film it if I’m in the building at the time . But I can’t guarantee it . I know the Maintenance company are due to come back and do further testing on it soon so shall try and film that.
cheers @@liamsams2182
