It’s been a minute since I’ve gotten anything new to unbox! Here are the amazing tiny chatty babies I sent away to Stevie long ago. He did an amazing job with their talk boxes as well as their hair. They look brand new. Can’t wait to fix their outfits and eventually have them on display in my new doll museum/workshop! Thank you Stevie for another fantastic chatty restoration!

Update even from this video! I got her going with voice and a little movement. She’s going to turn out nice once I replace her arms and legs. Still haven’t opened her up to see what damage is inside the torso though. The original seller on Mercari is super nice and I only wish I could have gotten to her first and maybe her legs wouldn’t be broken. They are good legs too but sadly can’t be fixed...

Here is a 3rd version of Jill’s Original tape to enjoy while I’m in the middle of a move. I recorded this almost a year ago to date, but never posted it. You will notice she’s standing. I used a Kaiser 5001 doll stand and wanted to see if she moved when she was on and animated. She held up well! Enjoy and catch y’all from my new clubhouse very soon I hope! Thanks!

I was alerted by a good friend of a posting from a lady that was about to toss this poor Jill in the trash. She was not a talking doll collector and had found this Jill missing an arm in a shed on her mother’s property! So happy to have been able to save her and hoping she is salvageable!

Finally got around to getting Jill’s original health care plan and instructions down to go over them on camera. Also to add in some updated care because Jill is not 37 years old! Also at the end I give some visuals on how to pack a Jill properly to give her the best chance of making it in the mail if you are buying/selling, or sending a Jill for repair!

I absolutely hate battery covers like that. I collect Hallmark snowman as well as many other things, but that’s besides the point. My 2005 piano playing snowman ran low on batteries one day so I had to change them, but I didn’t know it was that type of compartment, so in a slight hurry, I put them in and misplaced the cover and a year later I might’ve found it so it might work again, but yeah, those compartments suck because they can’t work without a cover and if you lose the cover, then you’re screwed. They’re also just a pain to work with regardless.

I got a Betty Big Girl when it came out in '69, I was only 4 and she was taller than me! I so enjoyed playing with her. Thank you for the video, it brought back wonderful memories.
@@annickleroy7343 that’s amazing! I always forget they are the size of little kids. I bet that was great to have a giant walking and talking doll to play with. I’m glad I was able to restore one like new so she could bring back some good memories!

Hi, im grateful for your videos. I have just got my first Jill (no tape, dislocated arm and unoriginal clothing) and hopefully winning a second Jill (not going but with 2 tapes and original clothing). Are you selling parts at all?
If they sold the little girl alone, they probably just used the same outfit for the twin sister? Could you remind me the name of the video where you show the Jill with the soft body? I've seen video of Charming Chatty working. She has a lot to say.
@@Tam.I.am. true. Though I think most came in a set? That’s a good question I need to research haha! The video is called something like All things Jill. I did an extensive video for each doll. Cricket, Corky, and Jill. In that Jill video I discuss the soft body version. ❤️

@@nailahrichardson834 ah yes you had the original version! They ended up changing her hair after her little brother corky came out and they looked too similar. So they introduced this second version that had the pigtails.

@@niamhcreaner6227 they were sold over in the UK under matchbox toys. She actually came with the American accent even other there, but many of her story books with tape and even some outfits were sold with the British accent tapes. We still don’t know exactly how many were made into British versions.

Hi! I can see you’ve a LOT of unpacking to do. I have a Cricket doll, chair, clothes with their cassettes and books with there cassettes. Would you be interested in buying them?
She is gorgeous. She actually reminds me of Cindy out of the Brady Bunch. Over here in Australia we had a different version. The one here looked a little older wearing a dress with longer hair and named “Cricket”. Said A Lot and moved a little like a robot.

my jill doll broke cause my house flooded and up she was in my basement and she got wet like soaked so bad like super bad so now she wont work<3
@@philiparnoldblaza76 oh no that’s so sad! I’m sorry you had flooding! Yeah once water gets into her mechanical parts they rust super fast and get corroded. I’ve saved a few but mostly they have to just become a parts doll and I salvage what I can. Hopefully your Jill still looks nice on the outside if you still have her!

@@carlslack534 for whatever reason they won’t come up under the eBay global shipping program, so usually buyers message me when I have one listed and I have to change it to manually shipping it international. It’s a process but it can be done! 🙂

poor jill!! i have no idea how people take such bad care of these dolls, you'd think people'd take better care of them since they're old. glad she's in a better home now, along with your other jills. hope your move is going well too!
@@emiliomurkmere right?! It’s 37 year old plastic. It must be handled carefully. Some people just treat them like rag dolls or a modern toy. She is so heavy and fragile. I am glad to have her though, and I will fix her up and take the broken parts out to replace with better ones. The move is good. I’m in the new place, but finding time to unpack has been a challenge lol.
Liar Liar pants on fire! Shame on that seller. I had to go look at Macari to see her, and what a difference. The hair was nicer, she had two attached legs and no snags in her sweater. If only she could talk and tell us what happened. I would say it was not bought by a doll collecter.

@@STC614 I would love for you to have one because you’re one of my OG subscribers and I know you appreciate these old toys. I have done layaway type things for friends in the past. They pay me whatever monthly installments they can until the items paid off and they can then just pay the shipping.
