    Thanks for sharing the video and pointing out the GVWR notification. We have a 2019 Coachmen APEX Nano travel trailer and it’s about 4,000 when it’s empty, and max load is 6,000. I also had that notification coming up on my 22 Sierra, yet don’t feel I had too much in the back of my truck to trigger it, since I had my WDH on. Not sure if you had the transparent camera issue resolved, but I just set mine up. Once you connect the 7 pin & camera harness to the truck, prior to putting it on drive, click on the trailer icon and select the transparent camera view. It should indicate in green font that you’re connected. Put it in drive and do a quick drive in a shopping center or residential area, but don’t exceed the 31mph and it should begin calibrating right away and should pick it up again right away. I kept having that same issue on mine and a bit of flickering, which turned out to be the a whole nother issue with the cable that connects to the trailer cam not being pushed all the way in. Hopefully that helps.

For example, I have a 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 with the 3.0 Duramax and the rated max tongue weight is 880, tongue weight of a FK22 steel is 937 before you put anything in it. Only way around this for my truck is if you get the max tow package.

    I really don’t like that start stop button being raised up and not sunken in AND being exactly next to the air trim knob. I could imagine reaching down when driving and accidentally hitting the start/stop button. This one feature alone is enough for me to consider the standard AT4 or ZR2. It’s a huge safety issue.

      It's still technically on lock-down and only approved contractors are allowed on-site. When I filmed this, it was a few days after they'd relocated the prisoners and tension was still kind of high. The Captain on duty allowed me to film the area, as long as my drone did not pass over the fences. I was filming from a public roadway, had an authorized flight plan, and verbal permission from the captain on duty. Unfortunately I was not allowed on-grounds. I am also Part 107 and needed to show my credentials prior to taking off.

    I have the 22 Elevation duramax same ratings for weight and my trailer is 8800lbs dry. How did this do on downhills, that’s the most important to me. Did you use Cruz control with auto grade braking? Did you have to brake often? Thanks for this great video it’s just the answers I was looking for!!

    • @GrizzlyHabits
      @GrizzlyHabits Год назад

      Hey Dave, thanks for watching. The truck did a great job on the downhills, once the weight in the trailer was adjusted properly. We initially had problems with too much weight behind the axles and we had sway both up and down hills. Once we got the trailer brakes set and the the RZR backed into the trailer with more gear up front, the downhills weren't a problem at all. I didn't use cruise control auto braking because the canyons we navigate are pretty windy. There were a lot of variations in speed for us on this trip. I haven't had a chance to test it since.

    • @GrizzlyHabits

      With the AC running in the summer and the heat running in the winter, it can hold the temperature. However, once you turn those off, the trailer doesn’t hold the temperature as well as a standard well-insulated travel trailer. It’s definitely more of a luxury enclosed than a travel trailer. Out heat or AC are constantly running.
