43:15 "Technically Godzilla's butt"
Hey can you cover Kumonga or Gorosaurus? Because those guys don’t get alot of attention and they are very unique monsters in the toho franchise (in my opinion)
As an Allosaurus, seeing Gorosaurus mentioned. BASED. Amusingly, one of the first kaiju, chronologically to be present is actually unintentionally similar to the Goro.
Really excited, especially because I‘ve been trying to get into writing myself, I love all kinds of stories, but kaiju and monsters have always been a biiig influence for me, even things like Cthulu from H.P Lovecraft. I also have been thinking of writing stories heavily inspired by the classic godzilla movies, with different monsters and maybe a „spy“ touch to the human story. Like I said, really happy to have found your channel and excited for your stories, maybe it‘ll even help me learn to adapt some of these themes for my own writing, since I am totally a beginner.
5:07 "transformers, aliens, Jurassic park" when talking about kaiju story inspiration yessss
I learned from a lot of great series. One of the perks of my dad showing me older movies when I was younger.
@@MaxisAllosaurus Well let's hear what you've got, then! I'm currently working on a kaiju-themed solo ttrpg (that i'm *hoping* to get a fun story out of) so i'm digging the creative waves
Teasing master takagi-san that is something 🎉
The what?
Master Takagi san? Not sure I follow, I don't know what that is.
I like that u point out about the Prey chasing down the Predator, I just realise it now. But now with how expanded the Monsterverse is, We now know that the Titans are not really acting that animalistic of whos at the top of the food-chain. I would probably say that, Godzilla senses the 2 MUTOs and out to hunt them so that he could stop them from reproducing, knowing that it will cause the Unbalance and him being the only titan could stop them at the time. Its probably not as intended to be in 2014 but with now content, we could just piece it with that and theorized.
The one issue with that is that there was only one Muto at the time when the male called out. the female didn't awaken for nearly 15 years. So Godzilla was simply hunting a lone male. And as we've seen, there's multiple of them, and Godzilla wasn't going on a MUTO hunting spree. There was also one living under New Jersey, female anyways, the queen, and he didn't go after her. I don't quite think it's a proactive hunting of them before they become a problem. Which is unfortunate, because that COULD have been a cool motive, but retconning more into existence removed that possibility. Mixed with Godzilla doesn't always go for the lethal option, he understands all the tians re vital to Earth's stability, it's why he doesn't' callously murder titans. He only kills when they are natural organisms, when it's absolutely essential for ither his survival, or to prevent a greater problem. See the MUTO's from breeding out of control, Skar King because he wouldn't stop, though he didn't, he egged Shimo onto kill him. Tiama's the only one at surface that seems out of place, but in context of she's been a thorn in his side for a long time, regularly tried challenging him, and he needed peace to absorb power to beat Shimo and Skar King, it was a calculated risk of her, or the rest of earth.
I always thought people saw the MUTOs as more like giant radioactive parasites to Goji’s species (like a mosquito monster acting like a virus as a kaiju) Also i think the Queen MUTO bowed because she maybe actually takes Goji being the Alpha Titan seriously (and maybe she also realizes how lucky she is that Goji didn’t just kill her on the spot being a MUTO) Idk this is just my random unnecessary speculation
The MUTO queen point I like, it's the first time anyone's actually brought up that point about her, since considering Godzilla JUST finished a fight. Literally anything else would think he's weakened, outnumbered, easy target. The mosquito idea i don't think holds up, because one, they use Godzilla's kind like the Xenomorph does, a host for the next offspring, mosquitoes don't kill what they feed from just for reproduction. They can, malaria's a thing, but it's not the blood sucking will ALWAYS lead to host fatality.
@ that makes sense
I don’t know. I never got the impression that they were predators of Godzilla’s kind, exclusively. Even when it was more directly stated to be a predator/prey relationship between them, early on in the Monsterverse. But I always took it to be more akin to a mutual thing, by which the prey dynamic regularly, or at least semi-regularly, switched between them. Think how lions can be with hyenas, and vice versa. But that’s just my take.🤷🏻
That's my point. The thing is, they prey on Godzilla is what the writers have said, the people who made Aftershocks. That's the exact issue I'm going over here. What we are shown, and what they are saying is the case are two completely different things. Your more mutual stance is the closest, and I do broadly agree with it.
They prey on “each other.” That sounds weird at first, but plenty of creatures do. Most people have seen on RUclips a jaguar jumping in a river and pulling out a black caiman. Black Caiman males can grow about 20ft long. No jaguar has pulled a 20ft crocodilomorph from a river, but the reverse has probably happened. We see Godzilla grow in size and strength over the movies and the novels suggest his bulk fluctuates with how much access he has to radiation. Furthermore, the Mutos breed clutches of hundreds if not thousands of eggs. The species may have evolved less fear of the Gojira species because they outnumber them. Lions, Bears, Crocs, sharks, whales, hyenas, all try and take out competition from other species when the rival species is young. This is how/why our Godzilla is chasing them across the globe. He’s trying to take them out before the hoard can challenge his might or resources. 1v1 a hyena stands little chance against a lion. Periodically, a hyena pack will surround and kill a single lion. The Mutos hunt Godzilla, because for their bloodline to successfully continue they need to protect their brood… till they can assist in usurping his throne.
I agree they preying on one another is what makes the most sense, from what's presented in film. The issue is that with the out of film 'word of God' as its called statements made by the people behind aftershocks that the MUTO Prime is evolved to prey on Godzilla's species. They way they talk about it is unambiguously Predator-prey, not mutually hunting one another. That's the crux of the issue, because what is shown to us, and what is told to us are two different things. Now, in all likelihood, it's just them talking poorly, and trying to hype stuff up as being bigger and more threatening to get people to see "how does Godzilla beat this perfectly evolved counter". Like if dragon ball introduced a character who was trained to in every way counter and beat Goku, and the Goku just has only mild difficulty with him. Those two things do not when put together.
Mv king ghidorah is my favorite besides monster x
If I had to take a guess, I'd say the eggs laid by the female in 2014 would have spawned into something else entirely. If we're basing them off of ants or bees, then those eggs would have probably hatched into what would be the drones of the MUTO species. With shorter lifespans and the inability to reproduce themselves, and tasked with tending to the needs of the female MUTO who would just need to be worried about laying more eggs to keep up their numbers. This is also where the Queen MUTO would come in, as she is not only a bigger and older variant Female MUTO, but she's also set to potentially becoming the next Prime in the future. Normally, in order for a new Queen to rise in a hive, she first has to get rid of the old one. Luckily, Godzilla already took care of that for her, so now she theoretically has a straight shot to the throne.
Why is seratoga from azurlane in the bottom left of the screen
First person to recognize any of the chibis It's a running bit on the channel, since I'm a fan of both history and Azur Lane. The Aircraft carrier in Godzilla 2014 is the USS Saratoga, not the same one from WW2, but named for the same battle, Navy really loves recycling names. Every video like this, for no reason other than personal amusement, I try to see if there's a thematically appropriate shipgirl for the lower left, like how Bismarck Zwei was there for Ghidorah, or Takeo was in the Minus one video, before it got copyright hit......
@MaxisAllosaurus Damm wait I didn't know al copyright claims
No, not AL, Minus one got Copyright claimed by Toho, we had clips from Minus one in it, and they got hit. Japan's got really strict copyright laws and they enforce them.
@@MaxisAllosaurus oh ok then thought AL went copyright crazy
Nah. Maybe they do, but I haven't had it happen.
I think MUTOs are more parasitic in their predation than actual predatory.
I agree, which I think is just the result of poor writing, rather than actually describing what they are for simplicity.
Predators almost always go for weak prey (be they sick, injured, etc.) & will only go for healthy individuals if they're desperate. Even something like T-rex wouldn't take on a healthy adult Hadrosaur unless it was certain of victory.
Just watch "goji center" about muto😑
I think the entire point you've missed in this video is that THE Godzilla in the Monsterverse is the absolute apex of it's kind. MUTO could have easily preyed on Godzilla as a species Thousands or millions of years ago, but OUR Godzilla from these movies has become so powerful through all sorts of means that it's literally the #1 living thing on the planet.
I'm aware Godzilla is the apex, even of his kind, something of a video I'm working on going over that. But it is also mentioned that the Titanus Gojira species as a whole is also a cut above the rest of the titans. It's just our Godzilla is a cut above them.
Why is there some anime thing in the bottom corner of the video?
Azur lane, USS Saratoga. Did it because its a running bit for the channel as a while, and the aircraft carrier in Godzilla 2014 is also a USS Sataroga, navy likes to reuse names. You're actually only the second person to ask about that since the channel started half a year ago.
4:56 it's a small world when you're as big as Godzilla, and the Mutos clearly reproduce in vast quantities. Godzilla would be desperate to snuff out that situation before it could envelop the planet. As for the mutos it's a new strange world, with only one Godzilla around that hard to find and harder to beat, and quite a few nuclear reactors and missles that's practically free pickings. 21:19 Buffalos are much more powerful than Wolves though are still hunted by them, that tends to be a common theme with pack predators. *HOWEVER* now that I think about it, the Aftermath comics instance on referring to Adam/Dagon as a "Godzilla like" creature could have larger implications than copyright reasons. WHAT IF Godzilla was his own singular subspecies evolved from other titanus Gojira to be an Apex predator, were as they were more vulnerable to actual Mutos and thus hunted to extinction while Godzilla hunted them afterwards.
The Dagon implications are interesting to consider, but it has also been conformed, and somewhat retconned into the point we don't know anymore, that Godzilla IS part of a species, and the Godzilla the spine were taken from that Kong has in the Axe was FAR bigger than our Godzilla.
Two cents I'd like to drop: 1. I think the reason Barb (MUTO Queen) bows to Godzilla is the same reason Rodan did: she _just_ saw him kill off Ghidorah, the (former) most powerful Titan on the planet. Her kind may be Godzilla's natural predators, but no way in hell is she making the mistake of fighting someone who is way off her league, especially right after what she, and the other Titans, witnessed. A mistake the likes of Scylla, Tiamat, and her predecessors paid dearly. 2. 4:23 This is speculation on my part, but I think the best answer I can think of to both questions is that considering the MonsterVerse does adapt a lot of pre-established lore from the Toho films… Well, you know how the original 1954 Godzilla supposedly got his atomic powers after being irradiated/enhanced by the Castle Bravo bombs, implying him to be the only one of his kind to posses the Atomic Breath? I think the same applies to MVGoji, though details are different. The other Gojiras can only utilize their Nuclear Pulse for defense and use their physical mass as offense. That might explain why Dagon fell to MUTO Prime. Godzilla has no qualms hunting his hunters because, given his ability to evolve and improve on his weaknesses, he's the only one of his kind to successfully weaponize his bio-atomic energy, hence the Iwi's description "The One Who Ate a Star" (Hollow Earth energy). With his newfound powers, Godzilla knows he can take 'em, and the MUTOs know this, hence their need to consume as much radiation from as much manmade sources as possible-to gather all the strength needed to take down the most powerful individual of his ilk if there is any chance to successfully reproduce. Of course, even with all the energy they consumed for their EMP attacks, it wasn't enough to completely disable the Atomic Breath. They underestimated Godzilla's powers is what I'm saying.
''you know how the original 1954 Godzilla supposedly got his atomic powers after being irradiated/enhanced by the Castle Bravo bombs, implying him to be the only one of his kind to posses the Atomic Breath? I think the same applies to MVGoji, though details are different.'' Then why do we see cave paintings that imply something else? Gojira has had his atomic breath before the Castle Bravo bombs so I think the best answer here might be the bombs enhancing his atomic powers.
@@Dirteater123Did you read the part that says: *_"given his ability to evolve and improve on his weaknesses, he's the only one of his kind to successfully weaponize his bio-atomic energy, hence the Iwi's description "The One Who Ate a Star" (Hollow Earth energy)"?_* Godzilla was like the rest of his kind at some point. It wasn't until he was beaten by the unnamed ape rival and kicked out from one of his Hollow Earth lairs that he decided to consume the Hollow Earth energy to fully weaponize his powers, something the other Gojiras never did, not even Dagon.
@@MrAwsomeness360 This is a good point , thank you for the info.
However it has been stated before that other members of Godzilla's species have the same abilities as him. And is also implied by the Kong spike axes even without the outside of universe information. The axes were specifically made and used by the Kong's after killing a Godzilla to attempt to counter the Titanus Gojira's natural atomic ray abilities. The little axes wouldn't block a full black atomic pulse.
I like the citation. However, one issue, novelizations of the movies are non-canon, since they often contain conflicting information with what is presented in the movies, see Godzilla vs Kong's Berny Hayes in the novel stating that Monarch was the one that commissioned Apex Cybernetics to make the Oxygen destroyer, despite the fact that one, monarch had nothing to do with the OD's development, it was in the KOTM movie...a US military project, and Monarch was informed of its existence as it was being used. And that GxK also implies Shimo was the one that beat and froze Ghidorah, something that conflicts with Ghidorah's intense rivalry with Godzilla shown in that movie. Something that if is retconned, makes KOTM as a film make even less sense, as without that, Ghidorah has no motivation to fight Godzilla, he wouldn't have been who defeated him, Shimo was. Which we also know that it isn't anythign that was there when he was defeated, since Ghidorah couldn't care less about Mothra, he had Rodan fight her for him, because he wanted to fight Godzilla himself. Either KOTM isn't to be taken seriously and disregarded in favor of GxK, which at that point, its worth asking why are we considering only one novel, when the others conflict, or simply not consider all of them because they all have conflicts with their movies, which is why they aren't canon.
They're mammals as well
Where has that been said
@@beef_cake6172 it has a skeleton despite looking like it has an exoskeleton. The exoskeleton is likely more like rhino skin.
Fun fact: in the Showa era, there are actually two ghidorahs. The main one shows up in the three headed monster, invasion of Astro monsters, and destroy all monsters. Every other appearance was by a weaker, second generation ghidorah. Also, in destroy all monsters, every monster is at their peak in power in the whole era. Yet ghidorah is still powerful, Godzilla actually becomes afraid of him
The design of the Muto's are terrible. They're literally just a recycled version of the Cloverfield with slight alterations and Gigan's characteristic to make them seem different but the entire monsters look the exact same. The Muto's are the worst Kaiju designs ever.
I point to giant Condor and Gabara
@@MaxisAllosaurus definitely Gabara
They’re some of my favorite. Monster Verse has so many snake and spider body plans the Mutos stand out. The emp is a fun way to sell that the military struggles to take out, albeit a large, but still organic enemy in the most grounded of the films. The same emp was a neat way to show growth for Godzilla’s abilities in subsequent films. The sexual dimorphism is interesting giving more variety in what’s still clearly the same species, and their emotions were surprisingly complex for a monster mash movie. Their subtle orange glow, gives off an otherworldly radioactive feel without being as tackily neon as everything was in the GvKs. My one regret is they showed male muto can traverse ground land and sea (also pretty unique) but the film didn’t do anything cool with him underwater. I won’t tell you ya gotta like em, I just couldn’t disagree with your assessment more.
@@MaxisAllosaurus I like your name! I also have to disagree as I am a fan of anyone that pains Minilla.
I agree with the paining manila, but as for pure design alone, I don't care for Gabra's look. Thank you.
It’s 69 likes… AGH I CANT DO IT I CANT RUIN IT
Do it, you know what you have to do, but do you have the strength to do it?
Mutos make perfect sense, you can look up there life cycle
For anyone who is confused as to how the Mutos are supposed to work, just watch Goji Center's video on the Muto life cycle.
They’re giant monsters that couldn’t possibly exist in the real world. Making sense isn’t the priority.
The correct answer.
If they're being treated like they are real animals, then it only makes sense to look at them as such
The mutos individually are not predators for Godzilla. Their whole purpose is to reproduce and overpopulate. And that is what makes them dangerous to Godzillas species. One on one, a gojira will destroy a MUTO, but they seek out gojiras in large numbers as parasites as the radiation levels in a gojira are high enough to hatch and mature their offspring. The MUTO prime also attacked Godzilla because she had previously killed Dagon, she was looking to end the gojira species and continue to reproduce like she did with Dagons body. They’re predators but only in large groups, which is why they produce so many offspring at a time, hence the thousands of eggs we see in 2014.
They most likely hunted gojiras in packs as they’re too weak to win 1 on 1. And there was most likely very few areas that could sustain their eggs long enough to hatch like the gojiras bodies could. And Godzilla is hunting them in the movie to prevent them from overpopulating. Because if they grow in numbers, many kaiju species would die off due to them seeking out high other radiation levels like Godzilla to hatch their eggs, and he would most likely be hunted and killed as well.
God this movies lighting, its hard to see the MUTO half the time
Legendary really screwed us all over with the shitty transfers for all releases. Apparently the only decently lit version is the 4K Blu-ray
I think that's the one i have, need to check that.
King of the Monsters mucked up the lore. Having the titans have an alpha system ruins established lore. Mutos are parasites, they have no reason to bow to him. "Preying" on Godzilla doesn't mean being a literal predator of his kind. Parasitism is still predatory.
Wh-that muto did have a reason to bow... *not dying.* each monster there realized fighting Godzilla wasn't worth the risk of losing their lives when they were already had they already kept to themselves before King Ghidorah woke them up anyway.
That’s just how they reproduce also parasitism and predation are 2 different things. Predation is consuming another consumer while parasitism is using a host for the parasites gain while harming said host. The MUTOS consume radiation not gojiras. The reason they implant their eggs into gojiras specifically is because they’re more radioactive than any other titan.
Godzilla and the Mutos are predatory rivals like mongooses and cobras, I always thought
This would make more sense. But they do continue to say predator, not parasite, specifically evolved to counter godzilla, etc. All of which doesn't suggest this back and forth, more one sided than even.
@ I kinda blamed it on bad writing, but I feel you there
I think truly it's bad writing more than anything. we know Hollywood doesn't hire the best writers, especially for monster movies.
Its funny how MUTO just went from what they called everything to titan because they didnt think of an actual name. originally EVERYTHing was a friggen muto
Tbf, all the other monsters have code names, so they aren't unidentified.
Yes. MUTO was the original term for them all, but after that became the de-facto name for these guys, the term Titan was adopted for all of them. The movie makers actually stated this themselves as to why the term titan was made. Because everything was a MUTO, godzilla was a MUTO, Ghidorah was a MUTO, Mothra was a MUTO, so they needed a new term.
it's a shame, because Jishin-Mushi works perfectly as a species name for them
@@MaxisAllosaurusso that means the female muto translate to FEMALE TITAN??!!?? **Attack on Titan flash back**
*German Intensifies* We actually have an AOT series we're doing at the moment.
Fig wasps have a similar way of reproduction as the Muto, with males from the same clutch of eggs fertilizing females they are related to. The way they do this without terrible inbreeding depression is through a system of chromosomes different from the XY system we use.
Even in the real world there are plenty of creatures that can easily defeat their predators one on one. Given mutos social skills is likely a pack predator.
That makes sense. Besides it's not hard to believe that some predators can also be preys to other predators
Also would explain why Godzilla was so determined in killing the pair and why said pair by themselves and later the Queen were trying to avoid direct conflict, their threat comes in numbers and they are smart enough to know this. Prime of course being the exception, but then again is not unreasonable to guess she was just built different.
The best way to describe the mutos is as a decent starting monster but nothing too special in comparison to what came before and after
One theory fans put up is their alien parasites that fell off Ghidorah, like mites(yet another parallel to Cloverfield with their designs). Side note: TOHO said Godzilla can't have a species now(they do random rules like this IDK but their particular about) as well stating he can't die, and cannot be seen eating people -but theres a loop hole. Godzilla and Shimo are related because their primordial "individuals" that have descended and evolved from the same lineage. One can argue Doug and Methulusah are the same family too. Will we ever see another Godzilla in the Monsterverse "possible" TOHO said they wanted Goji Jr to be worked into the verse somehow(Doug becomes Junior an idea if TOHO doesn't say no), so say there are other beings with Godzillas reseamblance they just dont have to outright copycat, hence Shimo is his cousin in a way. Plus Shimo is a stylized Anguirus(ice form from Anguirus, Varan, and Baragons unmade movie), with the color palette of Krystalak from the Wii game Unleashed. Doing this avoids paying license for original monsters. Tiamat is Manda/Titanosaurus, and Scylla is Kumonga/Gezora. Singular Point did something akin to this by fusing Baragon/Gabara thus to pay homage to both of them and less money spent on license and animation.
@MaxisAllosaurus The MUTO's are interesting with how they were introduced but as the monsterverse went on and with the retcons post K.O.T.M they aren't much of a threat or seen as one personally I did the same when I began my Monsterverse Rewrite but I instead changed there Biology making them very different to how the MUTO's are in the films. The abilities are the same and while there emp can weaken the atomic breath both the offspring Prime and Barb can be damaged by the atomic breath and burned by it. How I changed the life cycle it still starts with the MUTO Prime and the MUTO's wouldn't just target Godzilla's species as they have had other titan hosts before but they prefer Godzilla's more due to there bodies holding more radiation. the 2 spores are in dagon's body one hatched prematurely and goes to Janjira however it is killed in battle from Godzilla who awoke from Hibernation and came to feed off the nuclear plant sadly after he leaves A Muto egg was within the corpse and begins to feed on the reactors and we get the Male muto in the film but the MUTO's don't need to mate to reproduce they reproduce Asexually like the Xenomorphs from Alien. The male is born pregnant while feeding on nuclear power sadly it gets into a fight with Godzilla in Honolulu who made an error and didn't fully checks begins to correct his mistake and during the battle when the male muto tries to attack the Alpha titan again using hit and run attacks godzilla using his sharp dorsal plates cuts the stomach section of the Muto open damaging the egg making it infertile while its bleeding out making up for one error on Godzilla part. Thus the female is the only option though she can lay her own eggs. The rest is history for the two as there deaths are the same in the film. there not predators there parasitic creatures that Godzilla considers a threat to life. Muto Prime remains the only active Muto and after its killed by Godzilla in Godzilla Aftershock. The female Muto or Barb is a queen Muto who has had past injuries and couldn't become a prime though due to Ghidorah's alpha Call in KOTM and after her ability to reproduce is lost and thus she is an infertile queen and possible the last member of her species. She submits to Godzilla out of fear but it doesn't matter. Godzilla does kill her before GVK after reclaiming his old lair from Tiamat and healed.
Nah they’re mid cuz they plagiarized the cloverfield monster design
Not even close, there's about as much of Cloverfield's design in the Mutos as there is Anguirus' design in Baragon. Okay, both monsters have large limbs and are quadrupedal. Big whoop. That's about where the similarities end.
In my opinion, the MUTO's improved apon the "What the heck is that thing" design compared to the Cloverfield Monster. I mean poeple still can't decide if the MUTOs are supposed to be insects or mammals.
No, they're not mid. Behemoth, Methuselah, Scylla and the rest of the 2019 original titans are.
@@davidostapenko2578You would have to 2019's godzilla here as well. One color, simple design, overhyped ability, hes just as mid as the rest of the cast If we think about it.
Agreed, it's like saying Tiamat's a copy of Manda because they're sea serpents. It's reminding me of the generation 5 pokemon copied gen 1 rants.
They should've have individual names like barb aka the queen muto. I called the female muto Bonnie and the male muto Clyde. 1:16 till toho said nope godzilla not allow to have a species. 9:21 it's rodan not radon. Also the queen muto had to bow to him, she didn't want to die to godzilla plus she didn't have a mate
Rodan is a male.
Understandable to correct rodan’s name pronunciation but then to immediately mess up his gender is kinda crazy
@@creatureofmisery 😆 no I was talking about the queen muto. I know rodan is a male
@@Godzilla-tu2cdRadon is a former name, but it was changed to Rodan due to Radon also being the name of a toxic chemical
I could swarm the female was called femmuto and the male hukmuto. Then again that's off screen info
The Mutos are more akin to Snakeheads. Even if the Godzilla is gone, they would target the other Titans.
Nothing suggesting they would.
@@kiyoshi3313 they will. They hunt or find anything radioactive, but it just so happens that gojiras are the most radioactive titans
@Tyranid_Hive_Mind They're designed for Gojiras. There's no proof they'd use other Titans. At all. There's a difference from them feeding and MUTO Prime using Gojiras as hosts for her spores. All Titans use radioactive sources to feed. Only great apes eat other Titans to gain that.

💜 🦋 love it. When are we getting the orignal kaiju stories?
They might take a while to make, he said he was gonna dramatic edit them
Id love to see battra and dagahra in the monsterverse
@MaxisAllosaurus Battra is a great dark counter part where as Mothra is the goddess of death and rebirth Battra represents Order and balance being created by the Earth's Spirit/Gaia etc. where mothra is benevolent and wants to show humanity a better way Battra would be Judge Jury and Executioner when it comes to the earth's balance. From what we can make in the ancient past Mothra and battra fought but Battra was defeated and Mothra sealed him in the arctic ocean reverting him back into his larva state only to be awakened by a meteorite with rest is history (Watch Godzilla vs Mothra 1992) or if possible read the manga of the film. I could see Battra in the Monsterverse playing a similar role to Mothra. His role would be unknown but could be an ally. In my Godzilla series Battra and mothra have history they did fight but only for them to join forces against Gigan, Ghidorah, and later Bagan. Battra would be a divine Moth like Mothra. During the 1st age of Monsters they meet Dagon Godzilla's ancestor and see's him bringing order during a period of war and chaos after Bagan was sealed with himself going into a deep sleep reverting back to larva form. In the 5th story he awakens and meets Godzilla along with Mothra Larva forming an alliance to defend the earth from a threat to come he then battles Gigan alongside Mothra like they did prior in the ancient past though during the final battle in the 7th story He teams up with Mothra, Rodan, Kiryu, Jet Jaguar, Gigan, and Godzilla to fight Bagan he does die along with Rodan and mothra reviving Godzilla giving his life energy and power to boost Godzilla to a state beyond normal though its possible for him to be reborn again it would just take a long time unlike mothra who can lay an egg before dying.
Love interest not twin
14:55 godzilla went to ghidorah and said SILENCE
Batra is so underrated and i wish there was a bit more lore about him and his sister. Historically i mean. Like has is happened before? Is there a specific condition that is needed to recreate him is lost? Is it like a crocodile and it depends on nest temperature for sex?
Battra always fascinated me as a character. he's quite literally the earth's wrathful anger incarnate. but he does have some positives qualities. like Mothra he cares very much about the planet and will do his upmost to protect it, despite his overzealous methods and hatred of humanity. he even sided with Mothra when neither could overpower Godzilla. Showing he is not just pure anger, that he can put aside his disdain for humans for the greater good. but what i think is telling is that even fighting together with Mothra they weren't trying to kill Godzilla, only get him to leave. showing even Godzilla despite his nuclear origins and very destructive nature has a part to play in the balance of earth's ecosystem.
Battra in monsterverse now
FEAR BATTRA!
MONSTER ISLAND BUDDIES LES GOOOOOOO!
Angurius Skeleton in KOTM: Am I joke to you
@Max Allo Tiamat is a good titan the fact she lost to Godzilla twice the first was in Godzilla Dominion which takes place after King Of the Monsters and before GVK Godzilla was weakened and hungry while seeking a new lair then when he was at first ready to face his rival only to be sneak attacked by tiamat and despite his weakened state he didn't use his atomic breath in the first fight with Tiamat he won despite the damage he took and even then he let her live but knew she was a threat when she didn't submit willingly. Round 2 the fight in GXK was different Godzilla was super charged and he knew of a threat coming and needed to stock up he did blast the iceberg forcing her out and what happens next was her choice she attacked he ripped a chunk out and then killed her with his atomic breath. Honestly she made the choice and knowing she could be a threat in being an alpha destroyer or worse join one Godzilla made the right call. She could have been a bit better but honestly I would have just added she had caused some trouble previously probably hint to Kong Survival Instinct. Maybe have some footage of what her new powers are like I would have kept her death the same just for Godzilla in his supercharge state to fight Shimo and it ends in a draw via beam struggle with Godzilla being blasted back into the lair that once belonged Tiamat and shimo thrown back into her prison cell closing the portal she came from setting up skar king to ponder what could have the power to send her back and later have PTSD When seeing Godzilla alive and more powerful then before.
