My goal is to provide POV driving videos on various Bay Area back roads, with cars that I have access to. I find going on drives like these to be relaxing to me, and hopefully you the viewer will find this relaxing as well. My content consists of some commentary throughout the drive, but for the most part, you will hear the engine and the environment of the roads that I am driving on.

POV drive in the 2022 Lexus RC350 F Sport driving on Hicks Road. This road goes toward Mt Umunhum, which I drove on in a previous video a few months ago. Not much has changed from the my last video after I installed the lowering springs. I discuss my future plans for the car, as I am looking to purchase the Lexon JDM body kit for the RC.
Also, I changed the way I angle my GoPro in this video. Usually during the driving portions, you can see the sun visor constantly. The peak also has a World War 2 radar tower, which people in the South Bay can usually see, as its shaped as a big box. I have a 2017 IS350 F-sport, I’ve lowered it on RSR superdowns, I’ve done an exhaust and intake, I did spacers and got a set of continental extreme contact O2’s. The car still rides very well still, just on bigger bumps it was definitely harder, but man does it handle so much better, it’s like a totally different car now, as for lowering it, I really only recommend lowering it if you don’t drive it everyday, but if it’s your weekend car and you wanted more performance or looks, I’d do it

Traded a 2015 IS350 for a 23’ RC F. It’s so good. This one looks, and sounds a little different, but still very cool. It’ll last forever, great video. Enjoy!

Yeah the IS F Sport is styled in such a way that they didn't leave any room about it for the IS 500 to be more aggressive. lol. But I love it. It means I don't have to black out the grille surround myself. Great footage as always. La Honda is awesome. I am not from there, but I did have the opportunity to rent a 991.1 Carrera 4 and drive that road. Pretty amazing, and it seems to go on for a long time, which is a good thing.

Do you have a backroad that you’d recommend I drive on? I feel like I’m running out of roads in the South Bay and Peninsula, unless there’s some other roads that I’m not aware of.

@@bayareadrives recently tried mines road from lick observatory to Livermore. It was nice. Overall i think the highway 9 still has the best road condition, but i dont know if its still closed or nah

I am so glad you pointed out the real-world issues associated with the lowering springs. Yeah it looks hot as hell, but for commuting (or if it's you're only car), it could be a bit much. When I see dudes 'bobbleheading' their way down the road, I wince every time. 😀 Great video, thanks for posting!

just installed the f sport lowering springs on my ‘23 RC, does it affect the AVS when you put it on sport+ mode? i’ve only driven it on normal so don’t really know if there’s a difference.
AVS still works with the FSPORT springs, so steering and dampers will get stiffer in sport +.
Can you start the intro outside and show the car exterior more for every video moving forward?
Thanks for the review! I've considered springs on my car('19 RC350 base AWD), though I might give them a pass due to the fact this is my daily and I have to contend with a steep alley. However I might be interested in those door stabilizers, even for just the look. That said, regarding the tech bros, I gotta say the RC350 is a much more interesting car than a Model 3. :D
Ya the door stabilizers are a quirky little addition even though they don’t really have a substantial impact on the car. I like how they also say TRD on it, so that adds a few horsepower haha It definitely is, but most people don’t appreciate quality traditional cars anymore and they would rather have a giant screen 😭

Hmmm the only nice car photo spot I’m familiar with that’s close to the East Bay is in Alviso. Theres a road that is right on the bay, and I’ve Bay Area car pages on IG shoot over there. I think the road is called Grand boulevard. Theres another one right next to Dumbarton bridge as well, I don’t remember the road name though.

A shame they used the 1.5T instead of a detuned K20C especially for the price. Can I ask what’s your camera set up?
I use a GoPro 11, and then I clip it onto a bill of a hat using a GoPro clip, so the camera is sitting in between my eyes

If you are in the front seats then yes, but your head would be scraping the roof in the back. I’m 5ft 10in and my hair is grazing the roof when I’m sitting fully against the back seat.

Did you have fitment issues? From what I understand the FSport exhaust is only for the pre refresh RC, and you need the FSport diffuser for it to fit. From the Lexus parts website both the diffuser and exhaust are for pre 2018 models.
@@bayareadrives no problems it was a direct fit and the diffuser did not cause any issues..I did read that the diffuser would cause issues but I rolled the dice and got one off eBay and it fit perfectly the only think I can tell is the diffuser doesn’t wrap around the exhaust tip but it looks fine to me the sound is well worth it to me.. if I knew how I would send you a picture of the before and after
That’s interesting, I’ll have to look into this, because I’d like to keep the car OEM+. I did happen to see someone on the ClubLexus forum do the same thing you did this morning, he installed the FSPORT exhaust on his 2021 RC and it looks pretty good. Do you happen to know the part number for the exhaust you ordered? I know there is an FSport exhaust for the new IS and then an exhaust for the pre facelift RC.
@@bayareadrives PTR03-53210..got mine from a Lexus dealer in California..$1350.00..the pipe diameter will not match the stock mid pipe..stock is smaller but it will fit.. I ended up getting the Apexi extreme mid pipe and added a pair of Vibrant resonators..pipe diameter is a match no drone and quiet until you get on it and it sounds awesome all 304 stainless now worth every penny 👍

I’ve got access to a few cars. 2 of them are hybrids though, so I’m not sure how interested people will be in watching some hybrids on back roads haha. That’s why I usually just stick to the Integra and RC.

Yes, I’ve driven both the last gen TLX with the V6 and the new one with the turbo 4.

Thank you for the support! I’m about 5’10. Headroom and legroom is perfect for me. I usually like to “sit up” a bit and drive, meaning the back of the seat is more upright than how most people have it set up and even then I have no issues with headroom. Legroom is perfect as well. I’d say if you’re 6 feet or slightly above that height, you should be able to fit in this car, the front seats are very spacious.

They’ve got the brakes for the GS as well. I know a person on the Lexus subreddit got it installed for his GS. The part number for the GS is different though.
W video, keep up the good work. Love the povs, I like how it’s raw like no cuts during drives and I’m pretty sure when your at a traffic light you wouldn’t cut it. Thank you for the support. Right now the weather has been terrible in the Bay Area, it’s just been raining every weekend, and that is the only time I can really record videos. I may do a rainy day video, but our roads are terrible here so we constantly have flooded roads, which Id like to avoid lol.

As a daily driver, the CVT works. A DSG would be much better. I wish they would get rid off the sunroof! Takes up too much headspace!
