Pellet Stove App - Cleveland Iron Works
So did they do upgrades and fixes because we just bought 1 and after reading all these comments now I’m wondering if I should say naah? A friend has 1 and he had nothing but good things to say about his!
Title: Cleveland Iron Works Pellet Stove: A Glitch-Ridden Disaster As a consumer who purchased the Cleveland Iron Works Pellet Stove, I am compelled to issue a scathing review of this abysmal excuse for a heating appliance. This so-called "innovative" stove has proven itself to be nothing more than a frustrating and unreliable piece of junk that consistently defaults to error codes E5 and E7, rendering it utterly useless. From the moment this appliance was installed, it was plagued with issues. The promise of efficient heating quickly turned into a nightmare of constant malfunctions. The E5 and E7 fault codes became an all too familiar sight, indicating a fundamental flaw in the design or construction of this product. It seems that the supposed engineering prowess behind Cleveland Iron Works is nothing but a façade, as they have clearly failed miserably in producing a reliable heating solution. Attempting to operate this pellet stove is an exercise in futility. Just when you think you might finally enjoy some warmth, it abruptly shuts down, leaving you in the cold yet again. It's not just an inconvenience; it's a waste of time, money, and energy. The frustration of dealing with such a defective product cannot be overstated. What's even more infuriating is the lack of effective customer support from Cleveland Iron Works. Despite numerous attempts to seek assistance and resolve the recurring issues, their response has been nothing short of disappointing. It's as if they expect consumers to accept subpar performance and constant failures as the norm. In addition to its unreliable operation, the Cleveland Iron Works Pellet Stove also falls short in terms of build quality and durability. Cheap materials and shoddy craftsmanship are evident upon closer inspection. It's clear that corners were cut in the manufacturing process, resulting in a product that simply cannot withstand regular use without breaking down. I urge anyone considering purchasing the Cleveland Iron Works Pellet Stove to think twice and explore alternative options. Don't be fooled by slick marketing or empty promises of efficiency. This is a product that fails to deliver on every level, leaving consumers out in the cold both literally and figuratively. Save yourself the headache and invest in a heating solution from a reputable manufacturer with a track record of reliability. Steer clear of this disastrous excuse for a pellet stove.
2.5 years and nothing but trouble with this stove. DO NOT BUY.
Your instructions are terrible. Please put a tutorial on how to program this cheap controller
The instructions refer to a differnt model for connecting the wifi, how do you connect the stove to wifi so it located on the app??
I have a same problem, the wifi light doesn't blink n I can't connect to it, it's out of the box new.
@@thaerss16 turns out you have to take the panel off (when the machine is not running) to access the button on the back of the panel.
Hope all is well. Hope to see you soon my friend. 👍
So a video on how to properly clean and maintain the Cleveland stoves????
Can you answer one question: what's the purpose of negative numbers in the fan and exhaust settings?? I notice the default is set to 0 intake and -10 blower. What on earth does that mean? Why would I want negative blower? What even IS the blower? I assume the heat dispersion fan. No matter what I do, I cannot seem to prevent this stove from window soot. Within 3 or so hours, every single setting seems to blacken the glass. I have a clear intake duct with outside access. The exhaust is running 2 elbows but is under 6 foot in length. Joints sealed. Door is latched all the way.. I have tried SO MANY fan and blower setting combinations to no avail. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Hi, what is the "factory set temperature" for the stove to power on on eco 1 mode?
The flame in the video is much too rich. It will blacken the glass and send unburned pellets into the tank. Adjustment for the burn: 1) Press the wrench for 2 seconds. Beep. 2) Press thumbs up to (S) then use arrows set to 5 3) Press the clock. highlights (F) use arrows to set to 5 This will adjust the exhaust and burn blower. You should see an orange flame dancing very quickly. I had a fire in the waste tank that took hours to go out. I had to unplug and plug it back in. It then said "shutting down"in the screen. A must, to allow the blowers to continue to evacuate the smoke from the fire smoldering.
2 years in and need to change firepot and middle flue panel :-( , how do we change the panel?
Where can I found the Wi-Fi module; I have Grace NB-P15 model
ive had nothing but problems with my cleveland. the fan went out just before the 1 year warranty expired. i had to pay for labor to replace it (nearly $500). now, 2 months into winter (less than a year later) the fan is again giving me problems. i will never buy another cleveland.
These videos absolutely suck, would it really be that difficult to make a good video explaining the settings and what they do. Your manual is pretty pointless also. I’m starting to regret buying a unit from this company.
Door is crooked. Not good quality control.
Made in China trash
The instructions for the Wi-Fi connection are absolutely terrible is there any videos on how to get that working?
Does the fuse automatically come installed with the P60w cleveland ironworks stove?
How do I clear an auger jam on this model? I don't see how to get to the auger it's covered with no obvious way to get to it.
getting an e5 error code this year over and over. clean supply and air return vacuumed it all out fresh pellets. still nothing I purchased this stove 8 months ago
So how do you do the year end clean?
Did not tell me how to do the year endclean
Stay far away from these pellet stoves. I bought a new Medium Pellet stove. The ignitor went out after 2 months of light use. I clean it regularly. I messaged their support and tried to get them to help me get a replacement under warranty. They have never responded to my messages for a week now. They don't stand behind their products and they ignore their call for support.
I wish I had paid more attention to clearances required for this brand of stove before buying. It's 9 inches. All other brands are 3 inches. WTF is up with that?
I'd say it's more discretion based mine is 10 inches front clearance and 15 inches both sides clearance
Cleveland pellet stove are junk, don't waste your money on one. Iv tried mutiple different brands of pellets and can't get the stove to drop pellets everytime the auger runs. To top it off the control board has no option to fine tune the auger trim to try and get it to drop pellets everytime the auger turns on. Iv sent mutiple email to the service department and have not gotten one back. Complete junk save yourself the money and buy something other than a Cleveland Iron Works stove.
for you it was the auger, for me it was the exhaust blower motor. even under warranty, it cost nearly $500 in labor for 2 visits (one visit to remove, wait a week for the fan to arrive in the mail, then another visit to install). only a couple of months of use after the motor was replaced, it is giving me the same problem.
I call your tech support line and can't get through; or it hangs up on me. I bought the little F500212 and it flags a ESO2 code from time to time and I can't set the date, time on the control panel. I don't have WiFi where I live; and I like it that way, so don't hate. How the heck do I set the time and date on the control display??? PLEASE HELP!!!
This video is completely useless. We need some videos how to replace every component of the stove. My cleveland ps130w’s auger is jammed. This stove is made imposible to get the auger motor lose. If you owned one like mine, better not let the auger jam or you’ll just throw this trash away.
Parts can you buy them i looked parts up and see none.
I keep getting e2 code. The stove is brand new. Fired up fine but went out in the middle of the night with a full hopper. Now I won't light it keeps giving the e2 code
Turn it off and then onto clear the code. I got that code when it ran out of pellets, so dig down and make sure nothing is blocking the auger feed.
I got that code an unplugged it an plugged back in it cleared the code however my igniter went out a few days later
what is the decimal o the stove? I owned a pellet stove about 3 years ago and to me it was to nosy. I wonder how loud your stove is? I think all stoves need to have a Decimal level rating just like all appliances have
I have this stove it’s super quiet
Mine is loud when shutting down
I wish my flame looked like that. I can't even get the flame out of the fire pot
How in the gods name do you get it to quit shutting down mine burns amazing then after 30 minutes or so it shuts down and goes off im ready to beat it to pieces with a hammer
buy a different brand. i have had nothing but problems with my cleveland.
What do you have the temp set at, it should only shut down once temps reached. Do you have your thermometer to close to stove
I had the hi temp set to 80 and the low temp set to 71 but I finally traded it off it was more of a headache than it was worth I'm burning ventless LP heaters now
Throwing code E6 by any chance?
The windows on my unit which is the exact one shown in this video. It only takes 8 minutes for the windows to be blackened to the point where we can not see the flame anymore. I bought it for two reasons.. 1 to heat our home. 2 because how beautiful it would be to have a fire and watch it snow, or read a book. It only takes 8 minutes for it to look awful 😖 do you have any advice on how to stop the soot from building so quickly? Thank you in advance.
The reset button is located on the rear of the control screen. Remove 3 screws on the right rear of the unit to remove the right stove panel. Once you remove the right side panel you will see the reset button on the back of the control screen. Good luck! (This is for the PS130W. <F500205>).
If you are confused about how to connect to wifi. Take the screws on the right side off (2of them) and the door side will swing out like a door. there you will see the button and light on the back of the control panel! it works!
I’m still trying too hook up the App . Not successful at all !
Thanks! This product is excellent!
chm- chm-chme
Can the Cleveland’s iron works pellet stove run in a power outage with a 12v to 120v modified sine inverter.
Dude you have to make better videos. It's panful to watch. Make a video on the bay front stove while it is in operation please. I want to see how the flame looks and how loud the blower is. I'm looking to buy it in a week.
What you did not say was how to get your stoves wifi to be discoverable.
Take the screws on the right side off (2of them) and the door side will swing out like a door. there you will see the button and light on the back of the control panel! it works!
@@JohnKaufmann right side from you facing the front of the stove or the right side of the stove itself
@@yendothegamer9880 it’s the back side of the control panel. Right side as facing.
The instructions for connecting to wifi in the manual don't align with PS60W model 😞
Agree
Figured it out. Take the screws off the right side panel and the door will swing open. Then you will see the button for the wifi setup. It's just a little pin. The led is there too. It works!
Hey I see in your video here you say the stove heats up to 1800 sqft but when I check some local stores that carry out their showing 2500 sqft. My home is just over 2200 sqft. Would this stove work for me.
Thank you for your comment. There has been an update since this video was released. The square footage is 2500 sq ft for the Large Pellet Stove. Let us know if you have any other questions!
@@clevelandironworks4807 thank you for the reply
How is this stove supposed to connect to wifi? The manual does not specify or give any directions on how to do so.
Thank you for your comment. Information on connecting to WiFi can be found on page 14 of the manual. Please give us a call at 1-800-251-0001 if you have any questions!
@Cleveland Iron Works over 3 months to reply is a pretty terrible response time. And no, page 14 does not tell you to take the side panel off, and go to the back of the panel. I did figure this out with no help from your company. The stove works great but your customer service on the other hand could use some help
@@matt27640 We appreciate the feedback and we thank you for the update. We do apologize in the delay in the response. If you have any other questions, please feel free to give us a call at 1-800-251-0001.
Matt Brock were you able to figure out WiFi? I am not able to either.
@@oura.m.lifestyle4148 I have not either.
What would cause the unit to never come out of "stabilizing" phase? On the second unit now and about to abandon the brand.

Yeah I'm curious about that smaller stove too, but if the company can only respond with an unrelated stock response, then I'd have little faith in their customer service abilities.
Just got my F500212 installed today. Seems to be running fine so far. But it's only been on for an hour. Supposed to get down to 15°f tonight. I'm living in an Amish shed with no insulation in the floor or ceiling. But have R13 in the walls. So I guess we'll see what happens. Wish me luck! I'd like to know how to set the time and date on this thing.
@@RubenFletcher it 8-12deg here tonight

On my 60 lbs version you need to - Take the screws on the right side off (2of them) and the door side will swing out like a door. there you will see the button and light on the back of the control panel! it works!
I found the pellet stove app wants 2.4g. And my router is 5g with 2.4g available. But the 2.4 will never show as an available wifi option. I had to do the wifi button on the back of the display to the slower blinking option, then bingo. Hope this helps.
