2:25 wow finally someone on utube that know what worms eat. (Bacteria)👍🏼
this is a prank, right?
July 2020. New subscriber from Houston. Love this. Having the use of a great leaf shape over an over. God Bless.
Love to see other examples of outdoor worm bins. How is yours going after all these years? Check mine out and give me your thoughts!
The easy way tutorial. Many thanks! ❤️ will do this today. 🙂
You should have focused the camera above you,
Since the mold is flexible and is flat upon release from the plaster cast, what's the point of making shape? Why not just make a flat plaster cast.... why not just use the latex directly on a leaf?
One cannot always find a big leaf with good vein definition.
Any new videos ?
Awesome!!! Thanks so much!!!
Your videos are very helpful thank you
Hi I love watching how you do this I would like to be able to make a water feature with several leaves different sizes but have no idea how to fix them at the base in layers, any ideas? Thank you
Anne Brookover I am working on the same thing. From what I have learned so far the leaf needs to be supported internally with chicken wire or some sort of rebar. It will not with stand the weight of the water or being suspended for a fountain with out it. Setting in pipe fittings before the concrete dries works well for mounting. Just be careful to set them in a place that will support the weight when dry. Also, make sure you mix sand into your quick Crete and use a seller to seal the concrete leaf when finished. Good luck
My spider plant is turning yellow and it stopped sprouting new babies. It was doing well and I don't think I changed anything but not sure what is happening to it, please help? Thanks
mardel3 Have you re-potted the plant? It may just need that. Here is a link that will give you more information on Spider plants Good luck www.gardeningknowhow.com/houseplants/spider-plant/yellowing-spider-plant-leaves.htm
Hi ! why do you use dental plaster?
Я так не делаю. фигня
Doesn't look like you're doing anything but cussing. 😲
hello you are very very good. how you can get in touch with you? I see that you do not answer to posts ****** ciao sei molto molto bravo. come è possibile mettersi in contatto con te? vedo che non rispondi ai post
ciao scusa cosa hai messo con il pennello sopra alla foglia? hello sorry what did you put the brush over the leaf? thank you very much I do not speak English helped me with translator
angela percaso he used vegetable oil to make it easier to release from plaster
Great tutorial!! I would like to buy a latex mold
Why not just make the hypertufa birdbath directly onto the leaf? Seems like a lot of extra steps if you only want to make one. Nice to know how to make the mold though, cool process.
Can I use cement instead of plaster?
You can, however, cement is more abrasive and the mold will wear out sooner.
Thanks for you excellent videos. Do you have any experience with using vermiculite in you hypertufa mix? I want to have a fair amount of permeability-to make ollas.
No I do not, I have been thinking about trying vermiculite I would just replace the perlite, I think it would work fine.
Last night I had this brilliant idea of using sand-filled plastic bags to make Ollas. Today found you (or others) already tried it and it works. Arnt we clever? Thanks for the video
who called it Russian tea? Russans will be surprised...
Cool
Amazing idea thanks for sharing👍
Dental plaster? Is that different than plaster paris?
Since the making of the video I have used both to support the mold. Dental plaster is finer and seams to be harder and hold up a little better. However you can use cloth (like the Dr uses to cast a arm) on the mold and that works also. Hope this helps
Great instruction. Thank you!!! : )
you shouldn't snip the stem more babies can grow from it...just yrying to help
Awesome leaf, thank you for this video; I will try it.
Does the vegetable oil soak into the plater or cement on the leaf casting and interfere with it when you go to paint it? Also how do you seal your finished product?
do you sell your molds? If so I would like one.
Excellent video. Thanks for sharing all that wisdom!
You can leech the alkalinity from your piece by adding vinegar to your water and spraying it with a mixture of vinegar and water over time before you plant it.. Thank you for your videos, they've been very helpful.. I'm making large flower pots, bowls, troughs, hanging basket bowls, and faux stones to edge my beds with.. Again, thank you.. :)
This guy needs to quit fumbling around making rubber leaves and clean up that nasty garage!!
Great video. I've subscribed to your channel. Thanks for sharing.
I watched all videos from part1 to adding textures and now I'm thrilled and can't wait to start my own Hypertufa-Project. Thanks for these great informations.
I found that the plaster of Paris sets up really quick. Is that why use use dental plaster?
Is there a difference between the Dental plaster, and Plaster of Paris, or any plaster products that you can pick up at a Home Depot? I want to make sure I get the right product. Thanks.
Do you sell the latex molds? I don't have any nice, big leaves in my area.
Very nice - you might want to use 'Pam', as it will do a more thorough job of 'releasing' your plaster. Fair Winds!
Thank U 4 the video. Very good.
Thank you for this.
Great Video, really informative without blah blah blah, if you know what I mean. You get to the point without talking it to death! A+++ Thanks for all the ideas swimming around in my head now!
Do you have to buy the latex online or can you get it in a store?? :)
Thank you so so much!! Your idea is so AWESOME and looks like fun!!! I didnt see your website though :( But thank you!! Cant wait to try this. Saves on the leaves that I dont have LOL...AWESOME!!
How many layers of latex all together did you use 3 or 4 ?
Excellent information and presentation. I was wondering how to achieve the texture I want. I'm off to watch your other videos.
Your video is awesome - thanks!
