This show *NEEDS* to get more credit. The show paved the way for our childhood and some of the artist are still working to this very day, we won’t have Dexter’s Lab, PPG, Samurai Jack, and other CN, Nick, and Disney shows, all just from 2 stupid dogs.

Excellent video! As soon as I finished the first episode of this show I *knew* I was in for a treat. Incredibly well done animation and a tone like no other; it really felt like I was along for the ride in a completely unfamiliar world. I really wish Max could’ve given this show some more love.

Man imagine if Fired on Mars, Scavengers, and Infinity Train got the respect they deserved from Max 😪

I have never experienced a level of visceral tension through animation as i have with this series. I’m so glad you pointed out the sound design and tone overall because something this stylized NEEDS to be appreciated

I always saw 2 Stupid Dogs as a tame alternative to Ren and Stimpy. The episode with the fake Brady Bunch is prolly my favorite.

I describe this show as a more soft and childlike version of Adventure Time. Even though it isn't ground-breaking as the show I still enjoy its characters, humour, creative storytelling, and charm.

How is this so underrated?

Summer camp island Is such a great and interesting show and just shows the world of what friendship is really is, the loss, the, change, what really make friendships work. yet it is so under related. I would love to re-watch for the first time again

Animation is _extremely_ time/labor intensive. This is so sad.

I’m in the middle of this and have been hit with FACT after FACT without hearing REN & STIMPY this REN & STIMPY that wow good job. This cartoon was a breath of fresh air just like The Pirates of Dark Water was. I can’t believe that one didn’t take off.

Oh so THIS is where I was introduced to secret squirrel ! Explains why I remember this series and "flying rhino junior high" just as much as the later classics like dexter's lab and the powerpuff girls.

i discovered this show late last year and the way i have been hunting for video essays and retrospectives on it since finishing the series...i this SO MUCH keep it up!

Great review T4T! Just like you, this film has been wandering around my subconscious for years and I was aware of it being a highly regarded film, but didn’t know it left such a huge impact. And then I saw it and yup, the impact was completely justified. Not much left to say other than the wait for this video was worth it.

I remember times when Disney Channel used to play this movie for Christmas breaks and summers ( even their Toon-in' Tuesday Block)! What a wild ride it was, especially with the greedy! Still love this film, and super glad I got a VHS copy. Although, I am very happy to hear those awesome animation fans placed it online at a higher resolution, so that we can all enjoy!❤

I watched the whole movie in parts in RUclips when i was 6-7. i think it's subconsciously been a big influence on me, and it and toy story alike are the reason why i seem to be fond of "toys coming to life" stories (which i didn't realize until just now typing this comment). even if the story is confusing and there's a lot of scenes that drag on, i still think it's worth a watch for every animation fan

Hey, I'm so glad you went out of your way to cover all six seasons of this show! It's one of ny favorite shows, if all time, and I agree that it is very underrated. I'm glad that you used the platform to introduce the gem! When the show got pulled from CN, I missed the show a lot. I didn't have HBO Max, so I missed the show for years. But right when I had access to it, it wasn't long before I lost access to the show again (the bubble you were referring to). At that point, I didn't really get beyond season 1, and missed the show so much, that my eyes were constantly on the lookout for any news. When the CN app and channel started releasing the episodes the next year, it was very rewarding and exciting. It wasn't ideal how it turned out, but I'm very happy I got to see everything. You said the the competition was too stiff for SCI to be your favorite, or even the best CN show. So, Toon4Thought, what are your top 3 favorite shows, and what do you think are the best? (Can be the same list, or not)
