The basic rule is so long as it doesn't hit the head or something done deliberately to injure, it's legal. Wrestling moves? Not legal. The reason it's called Football is because that was what Rugby was called when it was introduced to the states. Collage students took Rugby (football) and made changes to fit how they wanted to play it. Same reason why we call football, Soccer, since that is what it was called when it was introduced to us.

Coming to this vid super late, but since this was made, a lot of those hits would now be illegal. The NFL added two fouls - illegal blindside block and contacting a defenseless receiver. So, if you're running with the ball you can still get smoked, but you can't light up a receiver that is in process of catching a ball thrown to them, and you can't level a player without the ball that doesn't see you coming. The big wicked hits where the player can see you coming for them are still largely legal. Cheers from Colorado, USA!

As someone that grew up playing it is very violent at times but it’s the same thrill as combat sports to a small degree and the feeling of dominance and the rush is practically addictive and the bruises and the walks with a slight limp was something to laugh about with your team, “You should see the other guy”

American Footballers don't do much contact because pads *Man is immediately demolished by a speeding slab of muscle* How are they not dead? well, for starters they aren't built from beans and toast.

I’ll describe how it feels… you see a flash of blue light on contact like seeing lighting strike, then next thing you know youre back in your huddle with a headache a little bit😂 those are the bad hits. That means youre definitely concussed. If you can remember everything but youre leg or ribs or broken that means everything is fine because at least your brain wasnt hurt🤷🏾‍♂️😂 but nah fr most hits you feel the next day and your fine. A lot of blood and bruises because most of our body is not padded so you spend practices and games getting hit by a guy running full speed at you with hard plastic into your unprotected ribs, shins, arms, feet, neck, stomach, spine, basically everywhere on your body except head, upper chest, upper back, shoulders is unprotected🤷🏾‍♂️. Great sport and i might have brain damage but my kids will definitely play

Rodeo is my jam! My whole family was in the local round-up club. My Grandpa could rise anything. He was a real cowboy. Not just a rodeo cowboy. The bulls are awesome! Both the cowboy and the bull get a score. 8 seconds is how long you stay on. They have a strap that goes the flank area. That makes them buck. Some don't buck and the rider usually gets a re-ride. Some bulls are naturally mean. There was some Mexican fighting bulls a few years back and they got banned. Watch the movie 8 seconds. It's about Lane Frost.
