Somewhere between a video diary and a 'how not to' channel.Tinkering with a 7x14 Chinese mini lathe, a rebuilt X0 mini mill, an SX2P mini mill, and a homemade furnace fabricated from a recycled propane cylinder, in whatever time time I can grab from keeping an ancient Massey Ferguson 35x tractor working our 10-acre smallholding.

This week I'm fabricating a drive belt tensioner for the 7x14 Chinese mini lathe. After a false start and a couple of learning curve errors, we ended up with a robust and simple solution that can be made from scratch using stuff you probably have lying around in your shop in just a couple of hours.
This video is the latest in a series of 7x14 mini lathe upgrades which also includes:
