@@Angela-co6oj I've been getting into a lot of Rufus Wainwright recently, and he recreated her Live at Carnegie Hall. It's not Judy, but he did a great job. I read the reviews, and people were very happy about his live performance. That's the opposite of Cat Power's recreation of Bob Dylan Live at Royal Albert Hall. The recording is great, but Cat has stage fright, so the tour was a flop, and I think she had a relapse by the sound of the reviews. Great chatting w you!

I am now 66 and hold such a deep debt of gratitude to have been able to go that night to The Troubador here in L.A. for one and for two, see such an incredible show!!!! Yeah, it's hard these days. When you talk to people on the Internet and tell people stuff like you met so and so back in the 70s or 80s simply because you frequented clubs in So Cal, they just don't get it. Different World, time, and place. I wish I'd met Leon. Ginger Baker used to work with my ex at PIT, but he was always out of it. And I actually Knew Knew a few others, but I generally don't talk about them, because I don't want to have to explain to them later why I did that for "clout." And a lot of them have died. I hung out a lot at Rozz William's house, but I didn't get to know him. He was in bad shape too. But he stole our first drummer, which was good, bc my husband joined lol. Have a great day.

I was smitten too! That is why I still use her photo. She was a model friend of one of my bosses, who was a Vogue model. My boss was Kelly Grey of St. John Knits, not to be confused with the ridiculous JC Penny brand. These were the beautiful people of Newport Beach who opened the door of rock stars to me 35 years ago. "A Song For You?" Yeah. I honestly didn't know much about Leon until four years ago when I made this, and it originally got a lot more views and engagement. I think a lot of these views are from people who enjoyed the compilation of vids and just bookmarked it or something. But I only knew of that song version from The Carpenters and The Carpenters are connected to my family in a weird way. I'm not monetized, so not shilling, but watch my vid entitled "Emmy and Oscar Winning Composer..." But you have to watch the whole thing to understand. Take care.

@@MellissaBoomeroftheNight Will do. I had a high school friend (back in the late 60's) who introduced me to Leon. He was an outstanding classical guitarist who fell hard into Rock. Gifted with a discerning ear, he quickly separated the "wheat from the chaff" and discovered the true talent behind the famous-named musicians. He played at my first wedding, but I haven't been able to locate him for over 50 years now. Thanks again for keeping Leon's memory alive and encouraging other's to take a deeper dive into the music men & women behind the scenes...
