Perfectly done brother!!!
Thank you!
A few yrs & my low moss cover'd stumps were thot flat rocks...!
Nice
I just stumbled onto your channel. Great videos; I really enjoyed this one. Awesome choice of song but, I hope I’m not being too picky when saying that it’s much too loud. It increased in volume and I couldn’t hear what you were saying. Please consider a lower volume “background” level for the music. Thanks for the great videos!
Hey, thank you! I will keep the sound level in mind.
This is why I quit cutting wood, too many sweats💀
Lol
@@Good.Fellers beautiful saw tho, great vid
@Ivanmohler thank you!
Ole crotch wood 🪵 lol
After cuttin trees here on the West Coast, I’ve never bore cut a tree!! After listening to your advice and walking around the woods I’ve come across a real nice Walnut that grew I don’t know why!! Gonna try your cut and see how it goes. I’ve got a ported 462 , it should handle anything I’ll be cuttin.
Be careful I cut trees based on how there growing and adapt to my surroundings. Good luck with it
People I've been a lumberjack for 42years,,and don't ever cut your tree this way,,always make a notch and don't over cut it because you won't have no control,,,that cut they are showing is a Dutchman cut ,,never jump your tree off the stump
Don’t do it
Awesome logger
Thank you!
Just found the channel - sorry to hear people are being negative. I was a sawyer in Montana and got to work with all stripes of professionals. There are lots of opinions about techniques and equipment. We all come by these through experience. I assume the internet jerkoffs haven't spent much time on a saw. I like this sharpening method. It makes for an aggressive bite, so it may not work for a small saw, but for a pro model, it is great.
Yes
Man I have three. They all catch in the cut when we’re on hard wood. The higher I leave the rake the less it happens. Makes me think I ought to take them in
I have two of these ported 500s and there screamers No problem running a 28” sharp in white oak.
@ I’ll port one and see how it goes
These machines can last a very long time if well taken care of and not abused. Maintenance is expensive but worth it. Sounds like you have it figured out.
It’s a lot cheaper to buy and maintain these old girls, then to pay tigercat plus interest.lol
why use that cut if it’s dangerous dufus
I tried practicing your sharpening technique today on an el cheapo online jungle chain for my little homeowner 60cc Echo. Thank you. Best cutting chain I've ever produced by a country mile. I think you helped me figure out the magic. Makes me more confident taking down a few small trees too close to the house that need to go and fixing up Dad's old falling down pole barn.
That’s awesome
Awwsome tune! And even better footage man!
Thanks Bud
Fantastic video great choice of everything fantastic job thank you!!!

@@Good.Fellers OK, thank you. Tree species dictates technique. That makes so much sense.

Jeeze, that’s not true.
Got some nice footage on this video.
Glad you enjoyed it.
Very cool. Glad I found the channel!
I’m happy you’re enjoying it.
👍👍
🤘
is the idea with the jump cut/not pulling any fibers just so you have the most usable lumber/wood at the end of the day? Sorry for the dumb question, I'm just a chainsaw nerd but clearly not a lumberjack haha.
Yes, there many different ways to cut a tree and many different circumstances in which there are to fell a tree. So jump cuts will generally reduce chance of fiber pull and damage to top of tree or surrounding timber.
👍👍
🤘
