2024 Entrepreneurs of the Year: Quility
The Entrepreneur of the Year Award (sponsored by Wells Fargo) recognizes entrepreneurs with soaring ventures and who serve as role models leading through example for all the startup entrepreneurs in the region. The 2024 award goes to Quility. While scaling their business with a large local and remote workforce and disrupting the insurance industry with innovative technologies and partnerships from their headquarters in the Swannanoa Valley, local founders Meredith Ellison, Brandon Ellison and Casey Watkins have exhibited a dedication to our community. Their latest venture is reinvigorating the Beacon Mill site in Swannanoa with a community focus and economic development opportunities.

Fortunately for Buncombe, this whacked out, dishonest lawyer-- Doug Edwards -- ended up third in the primary, a humiliating defeat. I watched him prosecute a case before a district court judge and try to add evidence from testimony which did not occur, was otherwise incompetent and prejudicial, and make ridiculously devious and unethical arguments during the trial. We don't need unethical lawyers in the DA's office. Good riddance, Edwards.

Word of advice... if you want to critique someone, or just enter a dialogue in general, it's a good idea to try to communicate using thoughts that are actually constructive. For example, I watched the video and my thoughts are that Andrew Fletcher is not perfectly well spoken with sound bite answers but he does seem to be very caring about the future of Asheville locals and the betterment of this city. I would like to hear more specific detailed plans for the issues at hand.
I've read elsewhere that his goal is to end the needle exchange in Asheville. This man does not understand harm reduction and is not qualified to address this issue.

Michael must be such a wonderful person, it was really nice of him to expose himself to everyone for who he truly is deep down in 2018 when he threatened, publicly, to fire all of the Asheville factory workers and ship their jobs overseas because it cost a little more money to ship those Chinese made parts in. What's it like to congratulate someone who would have fired dozens of American workers just to keep profits up? Do you think that's what Bob started and ran the company for, just so he could fire a bunch of people and keep the profits going one day?
