If I were just hearing this without context I think I'd definitely count it as 7/8 because I cannot count to 14 at 200 BPM but I have mad respect for you having put this together and I didn't come on here to argue against its 14/16--that is also totally valid imo. I just can't count that fast 😂

The classic augmented climb progression! It’s so pretty :) I once did this in a piece I wrote until I felt bad for the players since it was in Gb major…a good way to alter this is, instead of going to the I7 chord from the I6 chord, go back to the Iaug chord, which nicely resolves to the IV chord. Then you can continue with the nice resolution :) Great song btw!
