I feel like 14/16 should be a compound time signature with groups of 7 semiquavers.

14/16, pitiful, for i have written a song mixed meter in 11/8, 5/4, and 7/4.

yeah nah id definitely call that 14/16 (mostly) because its phrased like 3+3+3+3+2 which to me is like 12/8 but its 12/16 and then add two 16ths on the end. but yeah id say bars 21 to 34 had that "3.5/4" sound imo which would make me think that part is in 7/8

Even though you said you weren't a drummer, I like how the parts still fit in to the rest of the piece even though there's nothing super technical in the parts themselves. I can tell you spent a lot of time on the wind parts, and this whole thing sounds phenomenal!

Really nice piece! Very dramatic and the use of quarter note triplets builds a lot of suspension and emphasis on it!

I'm making a track in 3/4 and I somehow made a single bar in 15/16 and it still flows pretty well. I love using those wanky time signatures, it just adds some much needed diversity into music. Also what's the name of the software you used in the video?

tbh I have composed so many songs in weird time signatures, I'll be humming a song in my head and just won't realise what I'm using until I actually start writing it online. Whether it's #/4 or #/8, I have written reasonable sounding songs in every number from 2 to 17. Some of them are slightly sketchy but after I put accents on the main beats it usually sounds fine. Also this is fire!
