A difference can be that destroy effects dont care about damage, is indestructible still does matter to an extent. Also weird interactions with cards that give excess non creature damage some form of benefit, like trample from that one God whose name i cannot remember lol.

Pairs well with Ygra. Everything is Food, meaning you can sac anything to get something else back. Just that pairing is a powerful combo able to help you finish games, though this alone doesn't handle the Finality counters.

Easy solution just use darksteel forge so equipment can't be destroyed tie that in with leaning abunus to make artifacts hexproof then you pick of artifacts to give him indestructible and hexproof. If you use a decent amount of tutors it becomes easy. One combo I use is mask wood nexus and thornvault forager to make creatures squirrels then find any creatire you need. Then use do it yourself seraph to search for artifacts to exile followed by karnataka the great creator to bring them back to your hand. Not an easy win con combo but worth while

The prevent damage thing saves it from creatures that deal damage in the form of -1/-1 counters, eince it cant take any damage at all those counters dont get applied and therefore the only removal is to mass exile or targeted exile. I run it in my havi Voltron deck and its a beast
