    For some Cuban baseball players (and Cuban athletes in general), going to the US and the MLB carries sort of a winning-the-lottery effect, whereas some of them go from nothing to everything so fast they simply don't have the tools to handle it.

    So Puig settles with three sexual Assault accusers which does create culpability in my mind and no action is taken. Trevor Bauer Is never criminally Charged and has been banned for 2 years from playing (that 3 year contract ain’t looking like a great idea now is it Bauer?) also, very suspicious that the length of his suspension is 5x longer than any previous one
    And just so happens to ride out is contract, that’s very circumstantial
    Evidence of apparent alleged collusion between MLB and those responsible
    For his salary..

No one expected for a player that came from cuba to immediately succeed at the MLB level immediately. It wasn’t just his OPS. He was unbelievably fast and had the best throwing arm in baseball almost immediately. There were games that he single handedly dominated in all aspects. He also made tons of mistakes, but the raw talent was unbelievable just as the original post had said.

He wasnt even ROY, that was unanimously Jose Fernandez with only 28 starts in a year where three other rookie pitchers put up similar stats. Puig: slugs .474 with .841 ops, 21 home runs, and clinches korean series entry despite finishing with a tie at 3rd place as a 1st year foreigner
    Also Puig: gambles on an illegal sports betting site more than 3 times a day for 365 days, facing multi-year jailtime
    Kiwoom Heroes fans dont deserve this. Literally the unluckiest team in the world. Im a Hanwha fan but we shot ourselves in both feet, abdomen, and through the eye, so i cant relate on the same level, but ahn woo jin, arguably the best korean pitcher right now is under investigation for school violence, despite the "victims" themselves coming out and saying he didnt even do anything. Kang Jeong ho, previously of the pirates and the star of the team, is now banned and has been for quite some time now for multiple dui charges. Park Byeong ho, the franchise star looks like he is weakening, batting close to .200, so they let him go as a free agent, then he dominates the league, hitting 35 home runs. I swear, lee jeong hoo is gonna leave and collect that big fat paycheck from the mlb, then the entire ballpark is gonna go bankrupt or something. What a sad, cursed team. They play great baseball, but that stadium must be built on some ancient burial ground or something.

    This story is developing: Former MLB All-Star outfielder Yasiel Puig was expected to enter a guilty plea in federal court Wednesday. He faced a charge that he lied to investigators about placing wagers with an illegal sports betting operation. However, new information in the case may change that move.
    Lisette Carnet, Puig’s agent, posted a statement indicating she discovered “newfound evidence” that she shared with her client’s lead defense attorney, Keri Axel. In addition to changing the hearing date, Carnet said Axel also requested federal prosecutors offer more discovery based on the new evidence.
    “The government’s charge is based on the allegations that Mr. Puig attempted to obstruct its inquiry by not being forthcoming about a person of interest and one of the government’s intended targets in the case,” Carnet said. “Yesterday, the government made available the interview reports pertaining to the person of interest. It revealed facts that are exculpatory to Mr. Puig and appear to corroborate facts that Puig told the government.”

    I bet if he came up in the 90s or some time sooner where a lot of stuff could be pushed under the rug, he would be a big star still in MLB. Either way, sad to see he just hasn't grown up. Ik some clubs were saying he was righting his life around in his last few years barring the sexual assault accusations. I just think since he's now that mega star in Mexico or the KBO, he thinks he can get away with a lot of this stuff again. Sad thing is, he can't and it's probably too late for him.

    • @unkledoda420
      @unkledoda420 Год назад

      I don't know about a "big star". He had 2 real good seasons when he first came into the MLB. Since then he's had a few decent seasons and a couple kinda bad seasons. No consistency. Plus he'll be like 32 years old this season. Even if he got another shot in the bigs his days of being a star are over.

    bro this guy singlehandedly started the dodgers on the winning path that they are currently have been on for the past 10 or 11 seasons. Call it whatever you want but he made me start to enjoy watching the game again. Bumgardner just mad bc this guy is being himself. Bumgardner feels no one play with his style. If you came from cuba to the US to play baseball youd probably be acting like him too.
