sure, you can set it to program zero, which is just a FLAT line. But if you want to make sure that it is not changing the signal, just split it and only use the input.
@@djtongi Hi, I have the knowledge and the right stuff to make a repair. Just figured if there is a common fault with these then I could just jump straight to that and make it a possible easy fix. Not had much luck finding schematics yet. What did you do to repair yours?
@@djtongi Thanks. I'll take it off the board and test it. I think the feedback optoisolator is also faulty on mine. I might just recondition the whole thing with new caps and as many new components as I can find. This thing deserves it :)
@@djtongi I have a Phonic i7600 similar to your Alesis, also had the plain D230 at one time. The Phonic i bought for $400 and it stop working a month after i bought it, it does get power somehow but no lights, and that's because i shorted the fuses once i touch them with a screwdriver, i've changed all the fuses inside but one it happens to be a 1.5 amp 250v fuse, no such luck, bout ready to chunk it.

You can analyze the input, you can make changes, but can you spectrum analyze the changes?
i can't tell you for sure, if the RTA is "connected" to the input or the output... i think, it's on the output... but i can test it, if you want.

It was the regulatior mosfet on the AC side, but you have to check for shorts, mostly they blow not for nothing...
