I'm one of those weirdos that likes to watch videos while having breakfast or lunch and then play them again a few times while messing around with ideas.. Your vids are my absolute favorites to watch and get ideas off of. Thank you so much!!
Yes , I do this too :) I have some journal videos is a private playlist that I like to run in the background while I’m crafting. :) I’m doing that right now. Very relaxing, and with a little laugh too.
I'm a weirdo too. I do this as well. I enjoy rewatching the videos while I sort through my papers and inbox. My husband is getting worried about my hoard taking over and it's getting tougher to let go of some stuff. How does one find that balance of having these ephrema treasures on hand when the burst of creativity hits and not having a hoard of stuff take over your living space?
"Not perfect, but good enough will do." I love that! 💛 Words to live by, for sure. Do your best, have fun, and everything will be just fine. Thanks Pam, for sharing your beautiful human foibles and crafting on. It's why all 74k of us, The Pam Fam, love you SO much.
Pam cracks me up too. She's so bubbly and fun to watch. I love her little puppy! She makes journal making look fun and easy to do. I love watching her videos.
I love these books....but I just don’t know what to do with them. Then yesterday I was looking through recipes and had an epiphany. Make a cookbook! I have so much paper and fabric, and recipes. I’m not very talented but I’ll try this. Thanks for the inspiration.
You just gave me an idea what to do with all these printout recipes and magazine recipes that I have. This will organize them for me. Thank you 1552mjp.
This is what I've been working on! Followed a more traditional method and just adapted size. I made a full sized hard cover coated it with Outdoor Mod Podge so it could take some abuse. For signatures, I used a mix of purchased 11 x 17 paper, made collage sheets to 11 x 17 size, made pocket folders from cardstock, 8.5 x 11 sheets joined together with 11 x 2 inch strips glued down the "seam", 11 x 2 inch strips used as signatures themselves so I could glue in sheets in the future. Made vellum pockets for my mom's old index cards to protect them, keep them legible, but able to pull out if needed. I put an index of page numbers in the back so anytime I add a recipe I can write it into the index. I've also been adding photos and stories too. Do it! It's really fun. If you don't like it, glue or paint over it. Rip it out and try something else. My big tip, make your creation then glue it in instead of workingOv directly into the journal.
Oh my gosh Pam, you are such a hoot! I love your sense of humor, and especially how you think and create on the fly! When your sewing machine was choking and arguing with you, I was cringing and my Mom was rolling over in her grave! You are so much fun Pam! I just love your videos! If I am having a rough day, I know I can watch one of your videos, and before I know it, I am laughing out loud along with you! Thank you so much for all of your awesome content and humor! :)
Love this journal almost as much as your singing and little impromptu stories! The fact that your husband sounds like he’s doing construction instead of cooking just adds to the charm. 💗
I am in tears listening to your commenting, Pam 🤣🤣 ! This is one of the reasons I love watching your videos. And the amazing work you do is the main one. Such a brilliant ideas and tips. Thank you so much for being you and sharing your beautiful work with us. Lots of love! 😊🤗💜
Pam, somewhere on RUclips I saw where if you start with your needle down when you start sewing that you have a lot less problems. From my experience with my old machine, I've found it to be true. I hope that you have a blessed weekend!!!💖
You know people that leave you feeling better after you come into contact with them? That’s how I feel after watching this Crafting Chsnnel. So happy I found it! Wonderful Auntie Pam vibes that are better than therapy! 💕
You are a riot...I bet You are a great Mom ...I love it when Your puppy shows up and You talk his voice...I just love it all...who needs television????
Good morning Pam and the gang! This was fun and I love it when a man cooks for us but don't burn it lol. Taking the weekend to finish up some special projects, hope you have a awesome weekend. Take care!
Your Sunny is so adorable and he’s making me beg my hubby for a puppy. Miki has been gone for more than 2 years: it’s time. Little Sunny with his black eyes. ADORABLE!
Thank you Pam. The fun and laughs just never end when watching you. You will be going along pretty smoothly, I'll take a sip of my coffee, you'll say something funny, I'll spew coffee all over myself!! Love the notebooks. Fabric is your "friend"!! Thank you for sharing.😂😂
Ohhhhh I am excited!!! I just finished a very large journal cover using a leather vest I've had forever that I never wore and was stuck trying to figure out how to make full size pages and then I got the notification for this amazing video!!! Yay Thank you Pam.
What another beautiful creation you have made!!! I just love watching your channel. You inspire me to try to do so many different things. I just wanna thank you for sharing so much with all of us. Including all your babies. You’re an amazing lady!!! I can’t wait for your next video. Thank you so much Pam!!!
STOP! I can’t keep up with all the things you show that I want to make! Another great video and the perfect journal for my niece. Her degree is in fiber arts and she loves nature. Torn eco dyed paper with ripped fabric in this format will be perfection. I am so excited to make it!!! How about, after sewing the signatures together, you trim the “tunnels” and fray the 6 pieces of fabric for a torn spine? Maybe 2 rows of stitching for security. Anyway, I LOVE this. THANK YOU!
Pam, you are the gift that keeps on giving. I've been wondering about this, and here you are! Thank you for all the fun education. FYI: I put my little nipping scissors on a string (or a pretty ribbon) and wear them around my neck. This solves the "where did my little scissors go' problem. You just have to remember to take it off before you leave the house, or people think you're got fashion unfortunate necklace.
Pam, you have quickly become One Of My Favorite Mixed Media Junk Journal Artists (OOMFMMJJA); and you are hands down, The Funniest (OOMFMMJJAE (TFOOMFMMJJA).
Great video! I really appreciate that you took the time to show how you used a stapler and hand stitching as well as the sewing machine, so we have options!
Thanks for the great ideas. Love your problem solving ideas and solutions. Thanks so much for the product tips. The glue dispensing is so great. Tames the silicone glue and I’m not using too much. Love that the pages don’t warp with this great glue. After I finish the journal I’m working on, full sized pages are next. Happy crafting!
I loved the video and learning new techniques, but I have to say I look forward to seeing Sunny just as much if not more! I find myself hoping you’ll show him. So very cute!!!
You are such a hoot! I love your attitude. I thought I was the only person that talked to myself when working. This is one of the best videos you have done. "US" beginner's appreciate it.
cmu you gave me flashbacks to when my daughter was learning to drive..and hubby walked pssed and saw you driving ur machine and went "jeezers." Pam you are the best :-)
I have so much fun watching these videos! Pam makes me feel like mistakes and flubs are no big deal. Actually, sometimes things turn out better because I had to fix a mistake. She reminds me that the object is to enjoy the craft and have fun!
Oh Pam! You are such a bad influence on me. You keep distracting me from what I should be working on to try your current project. 😁😂 Great idea. TFS Hope you have a great day.
ok, now you're reading my mind! I was JUST thinking about this! I want to make a journal where the original writing doesn't go sideways! I am still learning (I HOPE I'm learning!) how do do a junk journal...sure is fun to watch, getting all sorts of ideas! Thanks so much for being here!
I have some beautiful placemats that i wanted to turn into photo albums for all the birthday and holiday cards and letters my children have given me thru the decades. I didn't know what to do. I love the stiff folder idea. I hope i can makes it work. I've only watched you make yours. These will be the first I've ever made.
I just love your demos and what I learn from you is fabulous iv used almost all the projects iv learned. Thanks I love your expressions and the way talk. Never a dull moment. You the best thanks
Pam, your approach to playing with paper really rocks! Hard to think of what else you could come up with, but I really would appreciate learning how to use all my "stuff" to help me come up with methods for ephemera storage! Getting them organized and together!
this one is a nice change from the half sheets. because sometimes the music and the writing is going vertical instead of horizontal with the folded sheets. The fabric binding idea is just a lovely touch.
WOW! We were so blessed to have you for over an hour Pam! I thoroughly enjoyed the extra time that you shared with us. The journal should make life easier for us. Tyfs!
You are such a joy to listen to! I love coming back to see just how you crafted something. How I love that you enjoy the process of crafting! Thank you for sharing with all of us.
Pam you are a blast to watch...I love Sun Bun, the birds, your humor, creativity, and practical applications with plain junk...you are my fav to watch in the junk journal genre...thanks!
I am a “gamer” clears my head after a longs days work. But after finding your videos I look forward to creating in ALL my spare time. Thank you for all that you share. I would like to see more ways to color/dye paper. (I know videos are out there but I like yours)
Here's a hint from quilters for when you are sewing thinker layers, you can use a special foot called a walking foot. The walking foot "walks" or feeds your material through from the top which helps the feed dogs which is walking or feeding the material through from the bottom. The one for my machine cost around $25.00 It is easy to put on and take off or can even be left on all the time. I appreciate the information on needle types that can be used. I've watched sewing/quilting about needle and thread types but that's all about what's used with fabric. All your videos are so informative and so well done. Thank you.
Your ideas spark so many great ideas thank you so much. I'm new to creating these journals but having a great time letting my imagination run wild. Thank you for the inspiration!!💥💥
What a great idea...it opens up so many possibilities! Thanks, Pam, for always bringing us such fun ideas. I liked how you double wrapped the spines. 👍❤️
Dear Pam, I can’t tell you how many times I have watched THIS video and laughed so hard every time😜😝🥰🥰🥰🥰👍. So funny and enjoyable….I feel like I am in good company….I know we would be such good company in “real” life!!❤️

I play them over many times not just for ideas but for the sunshine you bring to my day. Sunny is too cute! Hugs
You make me laugh Pam. I loved this one. Love your little dog. Specially when you talk for her. I have got to try this type of journal. I have tons of material Scraps.
Hahaha im sorry pam i have laghted so hard he is cooking ...sounds like a construction site...i wouldn't want to be the one to clean up after the cook...love your episodes every time! So much to learn so much real life fun

Pam, your idle banter is precious, as is your positive attitude. Thanks for being here for inspiration and encouragement.
Pam just cracks me up...just so fun to watch! She has a knack for making everyone feel like they can do this...even me.
I don't do presentions on utube and talk to myself just as much about final cuteness
I agree
