I’ve been aware and contemplating this for years. We have a crisis. A crisis of meaning and purpose. Love this content 👍

Wow, an example of the know-nothing, do-nothing academics that led to the decline. Also an example of the danger of intellectual inbreeding on either side.

    Liberalism's inevitable end state.

It used to be that the end state was something like Stalinism, but I think in America or Australia's case the nations would decivilized and collapse long before it got that far...

@@lieshtmeiser5542 I think your first hunch is in play. Chaos is the pretextual necessity for authoritarianism. And at this point it's pretty obvious chaos is actively being created.

“With all the pious talk about "tolerance" in the media and in academia, there is virtually none for those who challenge the dogmas of political correctness in most of our colleges and universities.” - Thomas Sowell
“Just what is it that academics have to fear if they stand up for common decency, instead of letting campus barbarians run amok?” Thomas Sowell

Funny I saw an advert for a woke Hollywood film whilst waiting for this video to start. The very land of double standards.

Actually interrogating arguments so that one can arrive at an inevitably imperfect consensus?
    How novel!

Does anyone else think Epstein sounds exactly like Christopher Walken? I can’t unhear it now…

Morals - where do they come from? The better question is where have we been that allows us to dictate a moral compass? Does the religious doctrine have the high ground?
Short answer is - we must move on. We have a good idea of what helps society work, so implementing laws that consolidate those goals are better than falling back on outdated ideologies.

Wherever morals came from, the religious doctrine does not have any grounds. Yes we must move on!

How right he is: “having a Biden Trump election in 2024 would be an unmitigated disaster”!

    • @lieshtmeiser5542
      @lieshtmeiser5542 2 года назад

The main thing for me is that Trump is too old. Biden is way too old and dotty to be president, and its almost certain that his minders are actually the ones making the decisions and all Biden has to do is signoff on it...
Someone younger and of greater merit is needed.

John, nice to see free speech is alive and well in Australia. I commented on this video how your guest's thoughts on Trump being an unmitigated disaster in 2024 were idiotic, and gave my reasons open to refute, and now do not see the comment. Just sayin'.

Ive watched other videos from when Epstein was a bit younger where he was far more articulate and coherent. I think his age is starting to show. Still, it was quite a good video.

John, you must desist making these types of videos because every time I see you the worry lines on your forehead grow deeper and deeper. Many more, and even your wife won't recognize you when you come home from the office!
